If I could give this store a higher rating I would. I can only describe this place as one of the most trusted stores. The staff is incredibly polite, helpfull and friendly. I recently wanted to get my old man a new leatherman and I called in for a new one. They ordered me one within a day. Admittedly I was very impatient to get it, but they just smiled through it. I CANNOT stop recommending this store to anyone. Thank you very much for dealing with my leatherman antics, you guys have made my old mans day. :)

Extremely helpful and pleasant young man. I got a fishing licence for 5year old grandson. Took ourselves off to the Lagoon and boy caught nice sized Trout. Gran got to cook and eat. Nothing like fresh fish. Happy days.

Have the range of products but the prices are ridiculous. Plain lightweight t-shirts starting at $40 with no medium sizes I need a pair of cross to replace the old ones I paid one year ago less than $20. Their new ones start around $50 and progress upwards to $129 . Basically very expensive Didn't offer to get stock in Sales people just must be bored

Went in this morning asked what was best for small game for on the farm, was served by Riston told us to come back in an hour and had all the gear and products sorted for us, quick easy and awesome 10 out of 10 highly recommended these guys 👍

The shop looked tidy and with plenty of stock. Lighting seemed muted. I was looking for a man's waist bag with pockets for keys and phone but there was nothing suitable. I looked for the COVID-19 Tracer QR Code to scan and could not find it. I asked where it was and the man behind the counter said they had taken it down as no-one else in the area had one and it was no longer required. Well it is voluntary but will save a lot of hassles if we need community tracing. What harm can one little poster on the door do to the shop decor?

Team are consistently the best in the business. Have supported H&F stores throughout the Wellington region but keep returning for business to Palmerston North. Update 12 Sept 2020. I've had to sell a friend's gun library who sadly has recently passed away. Wayne, Andrew and the team have been more than helpful with appraisal and shipping and had very useful advice for moving on these classic rifles to new owners - this is real customer service as I was not buying!

Archery range is pathetic. Firearms range is dwindling, clothes range has increased. Fishing range ok. Today a lot of gaps in dried food area. Other accessories are ok. Not like the original Andy Tannock store which I measure it on.
