J.A bizarre but excellent mix of quality art, sewing, DIY, and fishing supplies. My absolute go-to when I have a project of any kind!
M.All we wanted were goodie bags for our movie night. The selection was outrageous and I had difficulty making a decision. The staff were really helpful and made great suggestions. Totally distracted by all the other sparkly stuff they have - be warned!
D.If you are local make Pete's Emporium a regular check in point to see all the nick-nacks they have before going to the big stores like Bunnings Mitre 10 etc.
Pete will often it have it cheaper but still doing the job. Better yet in singletons so you avoid have to buy bulk when only a few needed.

I have picked up good quality wood drill bits for such reasonable prices and also all different types of wheels and castors.

M.I love Pete's Emporium it has so many items I need for the craft I do as well as other items for the 'Jack of all trades ' something to keep everybody happy at fairly good prices. The only complaint would be, because I buy there often, is that they don't restock their shelves often. I have been back sometimes 3 weeks later and items I need are still not available. Overall tho good store, good prices and great variety.
P.Pete's Emporium is a marvelous place to go to for all your birthday, anniversary, and any other party themes or supplies. They also stock a vast amount of other products.......I guess it is best described as a blend of $2 stores with Warehouse.

S.It's the more of the mostest! Anything and everything can be found there. Quality varies - some is 2-Dollar Shop while other stuff is as good as anywhere. Fabrics, craft supplies, and haberdashery are examples of the latter. Every time I visit I think I've seen everything. But then, out of the corner of my eye, I spot something new :-) I love this shop!

L.Amazing emporium of pretty much everything you could want to buy. Well, except food and plants. But pretty much everything else. Great range of fabric and definitely the place to go for buttons. Also has the best range of costumes for Halloween etc, and a pretty good art supplies section.

S.23/1/20: Haven't been here for some time & only popped in for a quick look. The store has changed, mainly with locations of groups of items, but I spent quite a bit of time just wandering down the aisles checking it all out. Surprised that the shop had also expanded in size by the addition of a fabrics dept. Quite impressive. They still had the usual goods on display as well, although some had been downsized or up sized e.g. craft supplies was up sized as was kitchenware (I think). Still had my favourites though..coasters, funny keychains, costumes, party supplies etc. Will have to start coming back here on a regular basis again.
T.Pete's Emporium is the perfect spot for all your bits and pieces, from crafts to dressing up, from fishing to dress making....the staff are awesome and very helpful and service with a class A smile.
V.So much to look at then off course so much to buy. Love it cause this place has everything needed & also helpful staff

The customer service is great and the selection of items is one of the best I've seen.
You can find anything from fishing, to art and crafts, to miscellaneous car items(including cheap wiper blades) and affordable electronic devices.
Everything I've ended up buying from here has worked great and lasted me and is cheaper than warehouse or stationary stores. Amazing value.

K.Very happy to say each time I go there it is better stocked and better organised. Outside artists shops, Pete's Emporium has the best and largest range of paintbrushes seen for quite a long time. Arts and crafts are very well supported here. A very pleasant surprise seeing such a huge haberdashery section and my query answered promptly. I thoroughly recommend this treasure storehouse!

H.So much cool stuff, all the arts and crafts materials you could possibly want. Lots of costumes and accessories. Best party supplies available in the Wellington region. The venue is large, easy to find and everything inside is well displayed. Plent of dedicated parking outside. Open till late on Thursday night. All the merchandise is reasonably priced. Helpful staff. Got exactly what I needed without breaking the bank.
C.Great range of cheap made in China wares. Quality isn't always top here, but you know what you're buying given the price. Some hardware items (fixings) are cheaper art other large stores in the area.
The fabrics and haberdashery are a completely different story. Great selection, good brands and choice. A must-visit location for anyone who is into sewing.
K.A great experience, very large range of products at good prices. They have expanded since I last visited and it's not all dark and gloomy anymore. The lady that served me was very friendly. There was a long line when I went to check out but it moved very fast and they had extra tills open to accommodate for Christmas shoppers 😊 will be going back to shop there again

S.I needed something that worked as a green screen and they had 4 meters of fabric that works great for around $9. They also have anything you could need for art and craft.
T.The team in the fabric and haberdashery section are fantastic and so helpful! They know their stock and provide really helpful advice going the extra 'metre' with problem solving.

J.OMG OMG OMG> I love this place. As a creative crazy person, it's my mecca. I visit religiously every Halloween and Christmas to stock up on the latest and greatest decorations. I buy all the material and sewing supplies. My wigs are nuts now thanks to them. But also my neice loves it because we can buy fun things to do that don't cost the earth and make our time together creative and special. The staff are always happy to enthuse with you about the epic level of stuff they have, talk about the dream job. Never never change how awesome you are.

S.You can find small bits and pieces for small job that most of the time sold in big packet by the big hardware store. The staff are helpful and plenty of parking on site.
