Was asked if I needed help twice. Nice. Shopping later was less busy. Also nice. Would love to see a few seats dotted around, I have limited mobility and would like to shop more and longer but I get tired and have to leave to rest for a few minutes. By the time I need a rest I just need to sit for a couple of minutes so I can continue pacing myself. Reaching that point and still having to get through checkout sometimes means abandoning my shopping entirely to leave the store to sit. It is a great store but also a very BIG store.

I love Kmart but this store has a few things to improve on; shelves often empty of stock, hard to find prices for items, not much help at self checkouts. On the plus side its Kmart (which I love) and the staff are very friendly and polite here.

Walked around in circles looking for 3m hooks, asked a staff member where they were she pointed in the general direction and said "somewhere there". Went back around that area about 5 times. Decided I'd wasted enough of my life looking... went to the checkout where 3 machines needed operated assistance and there was one staff member who appeared very uninterested and slow. Not great. Maybe they were understaffed, I don't know but it wasn't great.

I LOVE SHOPPING HERE. Bargains to be found in storage containers, party supplies and small electrical goods. I know Kmart is Australian, but we are not in love with koalas, kangaroos and galahs. NZ wide problem: seems lots of empty shelves

Looking for a small tripod, couldn't find it and asked - two store assistants instantly went off and found it pronto and with a smile. You can't beat customer service at Kmart Richmond. We've always had our enquiries tended to diligently and helpfully. Kmart provides a wide range of home goods at exceptionally low prices. They have their own house brand (as seen in my photo) and these products are usually manufactured in China for Kmart. I rate the shopping experience at Kmart as very pleasant.

Don't like how the checkout is in the middle of the shop having to line up for checkout interfers with other shoppers, and unfortunately due to covid not many options as a lot of products have not been turning up in the shipments not their fault but makes it difficult when you know what you want and its not there. But great customer service they have to deal with alot of grumpy customers 🙄 and do it day in and day out with a smile on their faces.

Went in looking for $15 rice cooker which gets very good reviews on the KMart web site. Noticed that waffle maker is back in stock to replace mine which is broken -great!! So the products are great, but I really dont like the reorganised store and the pay area relocated in the centre of the store.

Nice big Kmart in Richmond was handy as we traveled through. We wanted a few essentials and stopped by. The store was well laid out, nice and tidy and pricing was very cheap. Friendly staff helped us find a few things we couldn't easily find ourselves as well which was nice. No wait at the self serve checkouts either.

Went to get Christmas stuff for a party.They had what we wanted, but because both items were in a display we couldn't buy them. We managed to get a few minor items, but went away disappointed and left with the option of searching K-Mart website and ordering online, if we can find the goods we want. This is my go to place when I’m stretched for cash - it’s pretty cheap and hard to walk out without a bargain. You can get so much for just $20! There’s ample free parking and trolleys for your convenience. The only downside is the self checkouts.

I always enjoy coming here although it can be a bit dangerous on my wallet. Wide range of products with various sizes, styles, colours etc. Relatively easy to find what you are looking for. The staff are helpful although sometimes you have to wait a bit to be seen if you need assistance at the self service checkouts. It's a shame that there's no changing rooms because I live about 50kms away so if something doesn't fit, it's a hassle to return.

If you're familiar with (and like) other Kmarts, this is reassuringly similar. If you're not, and you want a great range of homeware, clothes, gift ideas, party supplies, sport gear and more that will fit most family's budgets, check Kmart out. Frequently carries stuff you can't find at The Warehouse. Two things the Richmond Kmart does particularly well I think: the layout is more logical and accessible than some other Kmarts (thumbs down Palmerston North); and any long queue at the checkouts tends to go down surprisingly quickly. A very useful store to have on your circuit.

It's a Kmart, can be quite busy at peak shopping times but the team do their best to keep checkouts moving. I've taken one star off as their clothing sizes are all quite large, so it can be hard to find mens and womens clothes in smaller sizes.

Very nice care and helpful 2 ladys staff members work by the front door and counter . I came in to the shop for getting a pack of joining and bracket was missing inside the box for my wooden table book shelve on Friday 7th Feb 2020. Even tought I have no receipt. They didn't question me that much straight away I got another full brand new box of the item which is complete set. I'm so please to have a very good and professional services from this 2 lady's staff members. I will return to this shop in the future when fly back to Richmond to visit my son at Motuaka aviation college. My son he is so happy to get back his book shelve. I originally come from Auckland. I recently contacted kmart about an exercycle I purchased 14 months ago that started knocking when pedalling. We had only used the exercycle in the previous winter that we purchased it. Friendly staff like always. I enjoy very much to go to a big department store and still get treated with enthusiasm. Prices are great and store was surprisingly tidy and clean. The only reason I am forced to give Kmart Nelson only 4 stars is because they DO NOT have a toilet available for public use. There is a lovely parent's room available across Kmart at Richmond mall but when you are shopping with your baby and need to stop to change their nappy it is highly inconvenient. It made me be forced to stop my shopping midway to go across to the mall and after that it became too much of a mission to return and continue my shopping. I hope this is something Kmart head office looks at changing in the future as their competitors such as The Warehouse to have a toilet available for the public.

Kmart is a shop that you scan your purchases yourself. The staff available are helpful and also help you find things. It is large and neatly all products come from overseas. It is Australian owned. I purchased Poloroid glass sun glasses and got great birthday presents for at and 7 year old. KMART had been rècommented for children's presents.
