The experience I had with Northland Dive would be right near the top of all my diving trips. They are second to none when it comes to looking after you. I spent 5 nights, 4 days diving with them, based at their lodge and exploring the Bay of Islands and the Canterbury wreck ( which I soon learned is there because of the work of owners, Shane and Julia). We also went out to the Poor Knights Islands for an overnight liveaboard and 7 more dives. The dives are all amazing. The food is great, and there is always plenty of it. Where else can you visit a scuttled frigate one day, then sleep onboard a boat in an enormous sea cave the next?

Top dive charter in the Northland, great hard working team and support staff. thanks Shane, Julia, Darrell and the rest of the support staff, I really enjoyed the live aboard weekend away to the Poor Knights Islands, fantastic dive and amazing scenery. Thanks for opening my eyes to my backyard and how wonderful it is. Cheers.

We have just had the best fun on a poor knights liveaboard with Northland dive! This was my second dive trip with them and it won't be the last! Shane and Julia and the crew are wonderful people who ensure a lovely time for everyone. They are also amazingly knowledgeable of the dive sites. Their dive trip packages are great value for money and I highly recommend! We already booked our next trip north 🙂

It's hard to put into words how great this dive shop is. Shane and Julia are the best. The incredible diving aside, the whole vibe of the Cow Shed is great. All of the locals who dive there regularly were welcoming to new individuals such as myself. This was a perfect experience for my first time diving in NZ. Thank you Northland Dive!!

An incredible day with Northland Dive. Most importantly the diving was excellent but the day was only possible with the lovely crew and the comfortable cowshed to stay and be fed in! Julia and Emma (and Adam and Taylor on the other boat) looked after me above and below the water - ensuring I could enjoy my dive with confidence in my gear and safety. Definitely recommend and I will endeavour to make the drive back up to visit again.

We did the two days liveaboard (7 dives), followed by two days of diving at the Bay of Islands. It was amazing. All the dive sites were great, like the wreck of the Canterbury, Blue Eyes Lair, Blue Moa Moa Arch, Riko Riko, Putahataha island. We had a wonderful time staying with Shane and Julia. Great hospitality, good food and sleeping arrangements. They have excellent diving equipment, are good guides and the liveaboard was very nice too (especially the cool diving lift on the Sun Spy). We will definitely come back one day to do some more diving with them. We had a lot of fun and recomnend them if you want to have a great diving experience in the North of NZ.

My pal and me had the best time with this company! There was a great, homely, welcoming vibe when we arrived to amazing homecooked food and a great night of card games. All the diving equipment was perfect and the dive sites we went to were amazing! It was amazing to get the info about the Canterbury wreck from guys who knew so much about it. Great instruction! Great lunch! Great day!

Easily one of the best dive operations I've dealt with. Shane and Julia are fantastic. The diving, whether it's the Poor Knights, the Canterbury or the Bay of Islands, is all awesome. And Julia's dinners are a great way to end a fun day of diving.

We had a wonderful experience diving with Northland Dive, Shane and Julia are very professional and friendly, gear and safety are top notch, the lodge has a great atmosphere where is easy to meet new people and share experiences and is super comfortable. The diving sites were beautiful and full of marine life. 110% recommended. We'll dive with them again for sure!

Amazing location, even if you're not diving you'll enjoy a fantastic break with stunning home cooked meals and fantastic rural accommodation complete with spa pool overlooking the eels. But you really should dive, the sites they cover are extraordinary (including tons of tree rays at the famous Hole in the Rock), plus there's the Canterbury wreck and their two 300hp V8 outboard ribs can easily get a bunch of divers all the way to the lovely Rainbow Warrior. Lunches in Islands are looked forward to all day, and coming back from a day's diving feels like coming home. Perfect!

Best dive set up in NZ (bed-to-boat, Nitrox, twins...). Great staff, great dives (make sure you dive the Canterbury wreck), great accom. Fantastic getaway from Auckland that we do at least once a year. Pretty location amongst bush and with a stream filled with fresh water eels. Such a relaxing set up. Is a must-do for divers in NZ.

Awesome dive resorts run by Julia and Shane, very professional but still they make you feel like family house and they serve scrumptious home cooked food, and their knowledge about the local dive sites and their work in making the Canterbury wreck dive site is remarkable.

Northland Dive is one of my favourite places to go Diving. Shane and Julia are awesome hosts and are a wealth of knowledge on the local dive sites. The Canterbury wreck is an unforgettable dive site.

Great place to stay if your diving. Has very friendly people. Great location. Amazing dive sight. Highly recommend checking this out if your like diving.
