H.Awesome! The staff were so helpful, and so kind to my dog (she loved everyone she met) even when she stole a treat. They helped me fit her with a life jacket and encoured her to walk around with it on to see how she felt about it before we committed to buying. Happy to say that Tūi was very proud of her new jacket and wanted to wear it home.
S.Wish I knew the name of the chick who served me. I am a customer of Animates in Te Rapa and came into the Taupo store to get some more food for my 10yr old, 3 legged boy (Buddy - from Animates See The Change Challenge). I'm pretty clued up when it comes to my dog, but it was really nice to be greeted by a lovely young lady as we entered the store. She was friendly and helpful but didn't hover which I really appreciated. 10/10 great customer service :)

N.Took our little puppy Milo for her first day in town, we stopped in Animates to find a suitable harness for her and we were pleasantly surprised at one of the employees, A nice young lady who knew exactly what she was doing and she let us try multiple harnesses on Milo to find the right one that fit. The support we got from, and lots of insight led us to purchase the best harness possible for our little Milo. Thanks a bunch! and we went to the lake right afterwards
S.Very helpful staff. But also dussapointed as flea treatment was on special and went to buy some only to be told although advertised on special the below 8kg dog ones were not! Hate that when it happens!!!
J.My partner works at Animates so we attended the Taupo one to buy supplies for my new kitten Kefla. The staff were great and helped both times we went, we're thankful for the service and supplies.

The staff are helpful and knowledgeable. I'm always greeted as I enter the store and if they are busy with another customer it doesn't take long until they check if I need help, the other great thing is, that if I just want to have a look around they just let me do it but are available if I have any questions.
Probably the best Animates store I've ever had the pleasure to frequent.
T.We go to Animates at least every 7 --10 days to bath our little woof woof . Traveling around NZ for 1yr , walked into Animates Taupo after parking the motorhome around 3 blocks away and up on a grass verge only to find out no facilities for bathing a dog . Sorry Taupo with only one Animates you need to have a do it yourself DOG wash . Tauranga had a Animates with no facilities for bathing a dog , BUT they had 2 others that did and easier parking for a motorhome .

A.Animates have a huge range of kitten food and accessories. Staff are very helpful
C.Stopped by to try the DIY dog wash. I'm a convert! It might be $10, but my bathroom isn't covered in hair (I have two larger dogs). You only get 10 min though, so even going quickly there isn't much chance of getting your dog anywhere near dry. Someone next to me washed three small dogs at once!

T.Lovely kids working there but they were more busy talking to themselves than asking if I needed help or to even serve me haha they did apologize though... other than that, great variety in store. Love how they reduce stock price instead of tossing it out.
D.I found them extremely helpful. Bought a dog Carrier to see if my "boy could fit in it and somehow attach to my wheelchair as he hås gone låme following a fall. Was too small for my "Chester" and had no problem returning it. There price are always competitive and because New store in Taupo, Lots of specials. Save $20 On flea & tick treatment and got two boxes instead off one, could mix & match so shared with a friend.

L.Animates are the BEST for your pets. We've used them for years. Always go the extra mile. To help and assist. If they don't have what you need they source it and contact you when it's in. Won't go anywhere else. So glad they are in Taupo now.
