Was looking to buy crocs. They didn't have my size in store, the guy took my order and said crocs should be in store in a couple of days and would call when they arrived. One week later I called, spoke with the actual lady that does the ordering and she said no it takes way longer for them to arrive than that. Anyway, long story short. I went and got them from another store, and have to say they were actually cheaper. Hmmm.

Lovely service, albeit from a foreigner who is still learning the local lingo! Hard to find a kiwi in there when I went in. All the staff were attentive enough and helped when asked. Fantastic selection of equipment. One of those stores you could spend an hour in and return to do it all again.

Great shop with good knowledgeable service. The only place really these days to get good outdoor gear at a reasonable price for hunting and fishing. Good sales at the end of the season. It's a franchise shop but Taupo still feels personal with good local staff who have been there for a while.

Its an awesome experience just window shopping there. They will also install any new line you buy for no charge and that's with a leader. I can spend hours in this shop. Good parking, plenty of polite and helpful staff so your not waiting for service.

Hey! Awesome staff! I just been there because my tent poles broke, it was a tent i had bought in germany, but even I wasn't a customer, they took care and let them fix it for me! I didn't expect that service at all! I am really impressed! It saved my trip!

I was so impressed with the customer service!!! Friendly staff would come up and offer to help ...... so different to my experience of large stores in Auckland where I feel I am imposing if I'm lucky enough to find a staff member. Here at Hunting and Fishing one young man was hugely helpful trying to help us find an out of print map. I'd recommend this store to anyone.
