Lovely novelty items type shop, leans more to homewares, but is also an excellent shop for buying something for the person who has everything, type store. Staff are helpful and friendly, and there's a decent selection of kiwi made items too.

Spacious and well lit gift shop, normally has a really good selection of stock but range was a bit depleted on the last visit, supply chain disruptions were making it harder than normal to get things. Friendly, approachable and helpful staff make it well worth a visit.

Avison’s store as a whole brings you back to that excitement you would feel as a kid when you’d walk into a candy store, the way the store is designed convinces you that your household has the potential to be 10x better! From linen and cloth ware that feels like it belongs in a royal castle to equipment that is relevant you question why you didn’t have them in your life already. I recently got a present from the store that I’ve had more than one person ask where I got them from, it’s definitely has boosted my confidence & opened me up to a side of fashion I didn’t know I could pull off. The staff themselves are more than friendly & provide great banter that make you feel welcome into a family, as well as their product knowledge is exceptional & I have no doubt they know exactly what is right for my home or even adding ease to myself with their accessories. Overall a great shop, great service & I definitely enjoyed my time within the store & I would shop there again.

Love this shop. Amazing gifts and well priced. I bought the most beautiful black poncho recently and love it!!! Get so many compliments. I must come and grab a shrug. Support our local shop or well worth a visit if from out of town.

Located on Main St in Upper Hutt, Avison's Home and Giftware have an elegant selection of bric'a'brac. There are lots of delightful and desireable items on display that are ideal to decorate or augment the living spaces of your home. Worth checking out if you are after something tasteful but different.

Great store if you are finding something unique for the home or something different for your eclectic friend. Many of the items are fun and zany, whilst some could even be considered of a very high standard in terms of quality pieces. Staff are friendly and helpful and have good ideas of what gift would be suitable. Just remember that you shouldn't be too surprised when a quick browse becomes an hour of wholesome gift shopping.
