A.This is like taking your dog to an amusement park. They get to smell all the smells. See and smell the Yummy things, discover new toys, drink the water, have a bath (not always as much fun) and then treats and pats from the staff.
Plus this place sells good quality dog food, cat food, beds, pet clothes, leads and leashes.
They also provide great advise.
The leash I bought my cat makes him turn into a giant paralysed slug. Photo of cat for cuteness factor.
R.Igor is GREAT!!! I brought my 8 years old Maltese from overseas and it was her first time getting a haircut in New Zealand, Igor was super friendly and professional... she looked super cute and comfy. Highly recommended!! Will take her back to him again soon
E.Pet supplies store with most of your usual stuff. They do dog grooming here. Staff are always pretty friendly and helpful.
A.Features wide selection of dog food, cat food, treats, toys, dog grooming, dog wash, bird cages, cat gyms, etc.
New groomers allow for easier bookings than with the previous 3 months of catch-up for regular customers caught out by covid-19 lockdowns.
Still an excellent store.
J.Excellent service in these hard times. I rang and organized my order, paid online. I rang the store when I arrived. They promptly put my order on the table, outside the store and advised me to collect it once they had gone back into the store. Wonderful
A.Dear Lord... I have spent way too much money here on my cats... Such a fantastic selection of toys, treats and just about anything for your cats and dogs.
Highly recommend coming here if you're looking to buy anything pet related.
Staff are incredibly helpful and really go out of your way to make sure you are looked after properly. (luckily one of the ladies told me I bought the wrong food for my cat, which ended up saving me a ton of money)

J.I had to pick up a larger pet carrier, the airline said the one i was about to use was too small. Not being from Wellington I had to find a nearby pet shop. ANIMATES Kilbirnie was nice and close to the airport and they were very helpful in my time of distress. It was a pleasure to see dogs on leads welcomed in the shop.

J.Friendly staff and easy parking. Four stars does not reflect a negative experience. Five would mean perfection and there is always room for improvement. The front of the store becomes very claustrophobic when it becomes busy with people trying to line up at the counter and come and go from the shop. Add dogs into the mix and it becomes a game of twister.

T.Lovely staff. Clean, bright store with great range of products and services. Ample parking. Easy to find. Store chain has a nationwide customer reward scheme. Very easy to go in for one thing and come out with five!
R.Nice place to shop for pet products. But be aware, no live fish for sale here. Just products.
L.Went to use the DIY dog bath. First time here. Staff very helpful. Showed me how to use it and were on hand to help. Easy to use it. Had warm water and shampoo spray, rinse with conditioner and water rinse and two speed of blow dry. You pay for 10 minutes ($10) and can use whatever you want and can pause to hand soap or brush if you need. Finished dogs off at home, but very impressed. Will certainly be going back.

T.Staff always friendly, helpful and give our fur baby lots of attention when she comes in and treats (after checking with us). One time even one of them helped bathe her as she doesn't like baths.
