W.Bought a cloth dryer today at the city, the sale(Sarah) is very helpful and full of knowledge about product , she can think from customer’s need, not just sell products to us. We have visited other stores , wish we could meet her earlier. Huge thanks for the help.
C.Tom was amazing. Great knowledge about wall ovens, induction tops, dishwashers, Microwaves, waste disposal units, and extraction units. And all with no pressure and great advice.
D.Good service from staff , post purchase of new phone , which came with extras , like installation fees etc .
I found out a couple of days later the same item was $100.00 cheaper elsewhere in town , plus no set up charges .
In light of the $200.00 "overcharge" , Harvey Normans , have lost any chance of future business from me , despite the staffs good service .
G.I highly commend Vish for his patient explanation of the convoluted and customer unfriendly policy for mobile phone replacement under warranty.
The policy is RUBBISH. Vish was extremely tolerant and understanding. No wonder his colleagues rate him highly. Thank you very much Vish and well done, Sir. Harvey Norman get no stars from me on this one.
B.Went to the photocentre. The lady is helpful but busy. Kiosks are a bit unreliable, wireless photo transfer from phone didn't work. Logging in with a harvey norman photocentre account causes the machine to freeze, there's a sign which I missed. Requires a reboot. I had to email the lady my photo and she copied it to a USB stick to put it in the kiosk. Bring your photos on a USB stick to avoid hassle.
b.Previously would have rated a 3 or 4 star but customer service had deteriorated a lot recently. Emailed Customer Care about price promise, wrote back once. We were happy with the answer and wrote back but heard nothing. Sent another follow-up email, still nothing. Sent another follow-up, not hopeful that there will be any customer care at all.
I would understand if they were all busy but most of them just stood there looking around the store or just talking to each other.
We just walked out of the store and on our way outside, a couple approached us and talked about how appalling the customer service was there because they were ignored as well.
Ended up going to another store and purchasing the item we needed.

A.Bought a new stove here. It was reasonably priced, service was friendly, but ill informed (or not forthcoming with information so as to not endanger the sale, who knows. Had I not done my research and arranged for electrical work independently of the purchase I would have been in a pickle).

J.A good store with a wide range of products. However, your experience I've found depends on the staff member you get. I was first served today by a person whose reply to my query on a display item was "it's out of stock". Didn't even suggest a very similar item that was next to it.
Thankfully, a different sales person - Terry was way more positive and sold me the display item and thanks to him, I purchased over $1000 worth of additional things without walking out which I was about to do.
Terry was professional, courteous and friendly unlike many other staff who looked like they didn't want to be there. Not unfriendly, but definitely aloof and not concerned about customers. Well done Terry! I left a happy customer and Harvey Norman got some additional sales thanks to you.

A.I had a fantastic experience with Michael from tech department, regarding a faulty phone. Had issues with Apple ( the phones manufacturer ) and the phone provider. Michael supported me and helped me achieve the results in service and outcome, that I was happy with. Michael maintained open communication throughout the entire process and seems to be the only person manageable to receive results. Thank you so much Michael!!

Had a great chat while showing the issues and had a easy swap out when finding that the product was faulty. Now have a fantastic headset for me and my partner to use. C.My wife and I came in during the New Years sale to buy new appliances as we've just moved here from the US and could not bring our 120V appliances. Honestly we were totally blown away by the quality of the service we received. Edmund, Zoe, Aaron and others were all very patient, kind, and knowledgable as we tried to replace our microwave, printer, blender, air filters and more. I highly recommend Harvey Norman and will be back for both the reasonable prices and great service.
I.I recently purchased a mobile phone with the assistance of Josh (Computer Section). It was a very positive experience as he listened carefully, asked the right questions to ensure the product was fit-for-purpose and then made very good recommendations which considered cost as well as functionality. He then assisted me with managing the transition of data from an Apple to an Android product, which was an area of concern for me. He did all of this whilst maintaining a positive, can-do approach. His sound technical knowledge and his well developed customer service ethic makes him a real asset to your organisation.

K.Staff are super friendly they won't push you to buy anything but really know their stuff. The tech department is particularly good with a really good knowledge base (they also have good suggestions on which games to play :p)
On top of that they have really great prices on items and with regular sales you can get an even better deal.

S.I'm used to buying my electronics online, but if you want the peace of mind that comes with extended warranties, face-to-face service, etc., this place is great.
Have been in multiple times and have made two big purchases from here, and each time I've been really impressed with the service, speed, and level of organisation.

j.I had two delightful experiences at Harvey Norman - Tory Street, firstly with a tall woman with black hair who helped me with my Photo stick and selecting photos, she was extremely patient, I think her name was Alisha.
I also had a good shopping experience with Grant Smith, I was looking at a Smart TV and he had all the facts at his finger tips. Thank you to them both
B.Great deals during holiday sales. Due to Harvey Norman's large presence in Australasia their purchasing power allows for bulk buying of stock for higher profit margins, so don't be afraid to negotiate a better price.

I recommend the extended warranty, its done me well with a broken camera in the past. If you buy in-store they can sometimes make it cheaper or throw in an sd card etc...
Sure they're not THE cheapest but the service makes up for it , it depends on what yr after...I will continue to shop there.

F.Went to Noel lemming to buy a freezer, long story short, they were unhelpful, rude and spoke condescendingly to me. They couldn't forsee when the freezer could be delivered as it was the weekend and I was told that if they rang the warehouse they would get voicemail as no one is there on the weekend. First guy that I dealt with used the excuse that it's just my second day here for not making an effort. I left and went straight to Harvey Norman in Tory street. Saw the same freezer for $50 less, James (the salesperson) said he could get it sent through to Tory street the following day (yes on a weekend, ie. Sunday) I was rung up on Sunday to say it arrived. I went to pick it up in my car, James and another salesperson helped to load it into my hatchback. So no hassel straight forward successful sale. This is not the first time I have had to go from Noel Lemming (Lyall Bay) to another store as they are so unhelpful and rude. Thanks James for the no hassel no problem helpful service.
A.I was actually really impressed with the service here.
Went in to look at webcams, I was asked if I needed help by the staff, they showed me where these were and just didn't seem pushy at all.
I had genuine queries as to whether they would price match, they took the webcam to the their computer and managed to take $50 off the price!

M.HN's rooftop / neighbouring skyline is quite distinctive, so you can easily spot this landmark in Tory Street, and thus locate their store from a distance. In general their prices are on the high side. When sales are on you may be able to find some good bargains but you do need to wait for those days (eg. Boxing Day), if that's possible. It pays to shop around first unless you're loaded.
B.Friendly staff, had the product I wanted. Only disappointment is carpark is very small and doesn't have many spaces so fills up quickly
L.Reasonable prices. They do price match if you find it cheaper elsewhere. The difference with this one - they recycle polystyrene packaging! Big reason to prefer this shop over others
