ਸ.My go-to store for buying makeup. Great range of brands and products and they make testing products (and cleaning up afterwards!) so easy and accessible. Every staff member I've interacted with, whether they were helping me find a product, colour matching me or putting my purchase through at the till, they've all gone above and beyond. Very helpful, polite and patient staff.
T.Always worth a trip to Mecca if you want great advice and great products. Towards the medium to higher end price-wise; but the expertise and advice from staff is absolutely worth the price difference. Also a generous returns policy should a recommendation not work for you. Staff at Mecca Queensgate are also delightful: attentive without being pushy, enthusiastic without a hard sell - a wander through Mecca is always a treat 😊
L.I usually frequent their Auckland store but last month I was in Wellington and decided to pop into the Lambton Quay branch. Service was impeccable as it is the standard with every Mecca store I have been to and I was pleasantly surprised to find some brands that are not stocked in my local Mecca! Ended up purchasing a YSL lipstick with the help of the lovely Abby.
M.Came in last month and got a color match by a lovely lady (sorry don't know her name) was a bit dubious about color of foundation but it actually works very very well with my skin, I'm happy with it. Thank you!
C.I had my makeup done at Mecca by Penny last weekend, she did an amazing job! She nailed the reference photos I showed her, and I received so many compliments on my makeup. Thank you Penny!!

The staff are always friendly and kind, but never try to push products onto customers.
There is always someone at the door to greet you when you walk in, but not in an intimidating way, and as you walk around the store to explore the different brands, staff let you know that they're available to help but only if you need it.
I've never had a bad experience here, and will continue to shop at Mecca. I'm absolutely thrilled to bits to be able to have easy access to so many brands in such a gorgeous store in New Zealand.
It's also been awesome to see how it has grown over the years. I used to dream of trips to Auckland to visit the small store in New Market, so to have this one practically at my doorstep is heaven! LOVE!

V.Had a 1 hour make up lesson was great fun. I really enjoyed it. Got some new products and it was great value 👌
Z.The lady at the counter looked annoyed that she had to serve customers and rude too. Always "out" of beauty boxes as well. A smaller Mecca for sure and not a great range of options. Defs no stars for this horrible experience. However the person that did my make up match was really nice and knowledgeable though. She tried different options to get a good match and knew a lot about the products she was recommending.
L.Always a great experience - staff are super helpful and knowledgeable, never feel pressured, always walk out with just what I needed. Makeup artists are unreal talented and very hygienic.

A.Wee bit disappointed in the service. Went into Mecca Wellington to have a look and asked if I could be colour tested for a couple of brands. One girl organised for another girl to come and help me, and I was able to get a few samples of colours/ brands of the product I was after to test. I did mention that I don’t have a Mecca where I live and so getting colour matched is hard. I also mentioned another product and she said that my skin was too nice to wear that product, however there was no mention of other options that I could have gone with instead or asked if there was anything else she could have helped with and I felt awkward even asking to get colour matched for a different brand, which I would have liked. Left the store feeling a bit bummed as I like to shop at Mecca but now feel like I can’t try the products that I would ideally like to purchase due to not knowing my colour.
D.The ladies who work here are so friendly and helpful, especially Phoebe. She was very knowledgeable and helpful with my sisters request for skin care advice and best products suitable for my sisters skin.

Im thrilled with the result all my red and blue disappeared like magic I honestly looked years younger. I just wanted to feel better about myself. Outstanding service wonderful product
S.Mecca is an exceptional store. Whether you're young and buying for yourself, or older and buying a gift for your daughter, they treat you impeccably without a hint of ageism which, sadly, cannot be said for many stores. Age comes to us all, and how refreshing it is to have relatively younger than staff relate to you like age doesn't matter. Which it shouldn't.
Big tick, also, for staff knowledge of their products.
Top marks to Mecca for running a delightful store with delightful staff. Please, all you other stores, watch and learn!
m.Staff are always there to help and are bright and bubbly. This store recently have started to employ male staff members, and I have found it very enjoyable to talk to them about cosmetics and the makeup they are wearing. Very happy to see more diversity and inclusivity.
P.I cant remember her name but the blonde who is studying design in uni is so lovely and knowledgeable! When she wasnt able to get a skincare specialist she took it upon herself to walk me through it and was incredibly knowledgeable about the line I was interested in and was genuinely concerned about what what would be best for me now and long term. Always really impressed with the customer service at mecca - doesn't compare at all to other beauty places!
