Ordered on line - easy transaction. Pick up was seamless and the customer service was en point. 5 stars for that but the store was a bit if a shambles.

The yarn selection leaves a lot to be desired compared to Paraparaumu/Palmerston North locations. If you're looking for knit/crochet supplies I'd say just order them, or head up to the Paraparaumu location if you can. Pretty solid fabric/sewing, & dishware selection though!

Layout was hectic, things just thrown against the back wall in some areas. Things were in different places than what the signs said, and staff seemed a bit condescending about me not knowing this, and they were low on stock for a few things. Craft area seemed nice though.

It's often quite hard to navigate the store and staff aren't often the most approachable (or happy to be interrupted). Checkout is often quite slow and frequently find things I thought were on sale weren't when I get to the checkout Good range however

Had what I wanted. A downside is tgat tge aisles are becoming quite narrow due to stock and also people taking stock off shelves and leaving it on the ground. Prices are not always easy to find or staff.

Yes, you've spotted a bargain, however you've just discovered that they're light on stock at that price. So now your wallet has been spotlighted by the limited stock on discount, you have to settle for a lower discount or no discount on what you can buy. Oh well, with any luck the next fabric item to get will be coming from my mum's sewing supplies.

Not a lot of stocks at the time I visited. The car park was so full and the customers were very inconsiderate in allowing for parking. I was waiting in queue and others just ignored and went ahead to park. Very dissatisfied visit.

I like this place for my crafting & sewing supplies. They have probably the best range of pre-made curtains in Wellington. Well lit & laid out. Plenty of parking, but you need to take care getting into & out of the carpark.

Great service from a very helpful young man who was cutting fabric. A credit to the store and a source of encouragement when most young adults now seem to self indulged to realise the value of repeat custom as a result of good customer service.

Recommend for what ever project you have. Google to see if your item is here and in stock before you go to your nearest store. Order online and either pick up or get delivered. Or go in and wonder around to see what tickles your fancy 😊

I love this place 😍 It's a womans equivalent to a mans mechanic workshop (oops-and guys too). If you love your fabrics and decorating either the house or yourself (sewing/clothes) then this is definitely the store for you. I could happily live here! Any casual vacancies please call me 😁

Love this shop for all my handcraft supplies. Wool, fabric, art supplies, buttons. You name it, you will find it. Plus homewares, linen, curtains party supplies and costumes for the children. Just give yourself time to browse.

I regularly go to Spotlight stores in other towns. Wellington needs staff that know what they are doing and actually want to be there. They were unsure of pricing rules so my friend paid 30% less for same item. NOT HÀPPY. Not a great experience and doubt i would go back. Cheaper fabric in quilt shops

They tend to have a very small-town selection of more specially fabrics, such as waterproof material, merino etc... Last time I went, one lady was so super over the top helpful, yet another seemed like she was having a rather bad day and was very unhelpful...luck of the draw?

Spotlight is a fantastic shop, super sad they closed the Porirua branch, the site was much bigger than the Kaiwharawhara Road one, it's a cramped, over stocked, messy and ugly shop. Some areas are bare (think curtain rods etc) and others are rammed (think decor). Regardless the shop is great.

Went to collect my son's preordered, helium balloons, on Saturday, to my surprise they had forgot! :( The lady was very apologetics, about the stuff up. She worked super fast at getting our order done, at the end of the day we made it in time, to get the decorations up in time, only issue they need to improve on their order systems.

There's currently a sale on in this Australian owned chain store. What you find can be a bit hit & miss but then a sale is to move stock. My mum & sister purchased a large stash from the yarn & handcraft department. They have a wide variety of dress making fabric with get your own patterns service. Quilting fabric & haberdashery, curtains and curtain accessories, bedding staples, rugs, furnishings, kitchen & homewares etc are all there.

Spotlight is the home of craft ware - basically anything you want in that line - they also sell materials, curtains, bedding, kitchenware and soft furnishings - a huge range and known as the one stop for any of these items. This is the only Spotlight store in Wellington with the next nearest being Spotlight Kapiti in Paraparaumu. I went to get replacement wooden curtain rings with curtain hook eyelets - tried all the normal stores in and around Wellington City including Placemakers, Bunnings, Warehouse, Briscoes without luck and so headed to Kaiwharawhara to check out Spotlight and Lewis's. Whilst Spotlight had what I was after and at a very reasonable price, I found some excellent decorative metal rings with nylon easyglide inserts - these were a little more expensive but perfect for my need and I left as a very satisfied customer and 30 high quality rings. Parking is good, easy location to find, staff at checkout counter efficient & courteous. Staff at curtains & materials section at rear of store helpful and knowledgeable as to what was in stock and recommended ring sizes for various curtain rod diameters. I have previously purchased children's craft supplies at this store and can add that they have an overwhelming array of supplies on display.
