Great place for a much needed feed.😄

Caught in lockdown while tramping I walked to the Mangamuka Dairy to buy food and have a meal. The police roadblock was nearby, so I went over to see if I could go through. After some consultation the police allowed me passage. I went back to the dairy and told the most helpful lady owner who asked her son to transport me back to my campsite to collect my gear. When I offered to pay, I was told they were happy to help, but would not accept payment. This is New Zealand culture at its best. Thank you, thank you, thank you…. ❤️❤️

Good fish burgers and hot choclates 👌. No shop for another 20ks or so. Can get to ferry this way. Local to Araroa track and beautiful scenery. Tautoko Radio not far.. 24hour Long drop... 🙌 for the environment people..

Yummy food!!! Good service!! Mean feed of fish and chips, burgers oh and best potato fritters lol. Even a few yummy homemade baked slices. Good sized tip top ice cream. Just wished they stayed opened later on weekends especially in summer and holiday's!

Dairy and Takeaways. My local shop I've been using past 35 years. Polite service. Accommodating to tourists for information and guidance. Excellent hot food, always fresh. Great prices too for how isolated we are.

Scant on supplies (no tobacco or cigarettes) but convenient for walkers. You sleep in the abandoned shop next door by getting in through the back and leaving a donation in the morning.

(Translated) It's been three years since I stopped by here on the vet. The burgers were some of the best I've eaten in New Zealand and the cook was very friendly. You could sleep next door for a donation. The next morning there was breakfast. Also highly recommended! (Original) Es ist nun schon drei Jahre her, dass ich hier auf dem TA vorbei gekommen bin. Die burger waren mit die besten, die ich in ganz Neuseeland gegessen habe und die Köchin sehr freundlich. Nebenan konnte man gegen eine Spende schlafen. Am nächsten Morgen gab es dann Frühstück. Auch sehr zu empfehlen!
