Reviews of Queens Arcade
This Arcade is full of amazing memories from my childhood. My love of Classical music stems from this arcade. It's full of amazing shops that will satisfy most people, from a Cafe, Hats, Glasses, Chocolates,Music, even house and kitchen knick knacks. Worth a visit, short stroll from Commercial Bay.
Jewelry shops and women's stuff stores are located here. There is also a very very nice bakery equipment shop here. Coffee makers in traditional styles like the Turkish one are available here, too. Even if it's small, but you gotta need to take some time to walk. Recommended!
I love this Arcade, so sad a lot of shops empty, love the decor here, reminds me of a little village shopping centre
Nice arcade with smaller boutique shops. Definitely worth a visit.
Here I am in Queens arcade it is Sunday most places are closed but there are very interesting shops here that I would certainly come back for on another day. It has a great feel to it. I read it the paper that there was a possibility of closing this arcade I hope it is preventable
Beautiful place, many gift shops and toilets available.
Love this Arcade. It always has a sense of class. I visited the wool shop and the owner couldn't have been nicer. Then we had lunch at Neo's and the lady who seated us was kind enough to even ask if we would like a blanket as it was cold on the balcony.
The shops here are awesome and if you are at the bottom of town I'd strongly suggest you give Queens Arcade a few minutes to explore.
Charming. Love Marbecks and the wool shop
Had a high tea there, very nice decorated, but not as much food as I would have at other high tea places. Taste ok.
Good to look at tiny little shops
Small-scale version of the sort of shopping gallery we’ve more frequently seen in Australia. Wonderful shops - I particularly recommend the music store - and quite a nice ambiance. Wish we had this sort of retail space in North America.
Queens arcade is trip down memory lane. Remnants of style that Auckland had in spades. Ripped asunder by councils of yore. Step into Queens Arcade and escape to a bygone world. It's fabulous with the headline act Neo cafe on the 2 nd floor. One of the best darn cafes in the country.
Located in central Auckland CBD, Queen's Arcade is like a small town in a busy metropolis. Everything inside is concentrated narrow, but that brings out it's vintage and clean look. There are a few tables and chairs upstairs; great for reading in a quiet environment. Reminds me of the streets of Great Britain but in a much more compact standpoint. Would recommend a visit as it's quite interesting.
It was fine. I go to the fabric and wool shop there. Nice friendly helpful staff and good selection of yarns
Great Mall to check out, be sure to check out BAST, Shop 8, it has a fantastic range of both Mens and Women's Babylamb and Leather garments. Such helpful staff, absolutely devoted to ensuring you explore every option before hopefully purchasing a garment you will enjoy and give you pleasure for many years to come.
Small mall off Queen Street in downtown Auckland. Plenty of unique shops and a restaurant upstairs that was great. Very narrow mall, so in busy times can be hard to negotiate, especially for people in wheelchairs or with strollers.
A nice shopping mall that just recently renovated. It's now much brighter, more inviting, and looks much less dodgy that it used to be; especially with the addition of the fountain tucked in the middle of the mall. Most of the shops are new, and only a few of the shops prior to the renovation that stays. The restaurant upstairs is still there.
Lovely and quaint place
When I went there was a lovely elderly woman playing the piano on the second floor and resonated throughout the arcade
The shops take you back and are full of friendly staff, there's a restaurant on the top floor that as delicious food and a modern design. The prices are actually regular restaurant prices (25-30 ish) but they have such well flavoured dishes that go together perfectly, and you can eat on the terrace while overlooking the bustling city streets below 👌👌👌
Great place too visit during opening hours, Thanks.:)))
Great shops - Frontline I love the clothes, best hairdresser, thanks Kay, excellent cafè Neo. Really nice shops, super clean.
I've always loved Queens Arcade. It has done well to survive the many makeovers, both good and bad, that have happened to that part of town. Very happy to see Marbeks still there, but sad to see the restaurant upstairs gone. It is a fabulous location for an eatery if someone could make it work.
It's a dinky arcade with a variety of retail shops. It's well kept and the proprietors have kept it nice and ambient. There's popular coffee place though quite small but suited to the arcade. Check out the specialty shops!
It was certainly targeted at an age demographic.
Went to the Devonport Chocolate shop. Nice small compact shop with good variety of confection. Lean and friendly staff.
Gorgeous Auckland arcade with a good variety of specialty shops. Kitchenware, music, watch repair, clothing, leather jackets - even a Russian shop. There's a grand piano upstairs that I have seen some people play . One cafe on the Custom St entrance takes you back in time. Brilliant. This arcade is worth checking out.
Just spotted a bar and restaurant on the top level of Queens Arcade facing the main Street looks like little Italy tucked away waiting to be discovered
The best art store is on the corner as you enter. Some fantastic nz stuff...and Asian modern pieces. The lead crystal wall birds are exceptional.
Concentrated fabulosity in a very small space. Interesting shops and nice places to eat. The central city lost its sparkle years ago but Queens Arcade has still got its special character. Not to be missed when visiting the CBD/Queen St. My favourites? Applewood Kitchen Shop, DGL Crystal Symphony - for gifts from Russia and a contact place for our Russian community...and Marbecks Record Store.
Queens arcade definitely has a few quality shops with decent food and products, however the architecture is cramped -in regard to both shops and seating- which would be my only drawback. Overall, if you just need a quick stop for a bit of food, the queens arcade will treat you well enough
I love coming here, it is always fun, easy to win tickets, have cool prizes and nicely priced!! Very easy to spend a lot of money though! Have a large ranges of games very awesome
The best coffee in downtown Auckland can be fount here at Mojos. Also visitthe iconic Marbecks record store.
A great collection of shops in this arcade. Frontline, Marbecks, Devonport Chocolates, Apple Tree Kitchen, Nua Cafe and Restaurant,..... wonderful
Marbeck's are in this beautiful arcade,2 levels to relax in.
a lovely assortment of shops and eateries tucked away at the bottom of Queen St.
Very nice and quaint shopping mall, shops are well-organised and seems to to be run by their proprietors rather than staff. On the first floor there are nice eateries and couple of spas.
Located in CBD..Brand New Record. Price is not low, but reasonable..
Excellent mall in the heart of Auckland. Snug knitwear is fantastic and well worth a visit for the merino & possum products.
A place on Queen St near Britromart, not many shops but can drop by to have a coffee, tea and sushi... Can buy some souvenirs, kitchenwares, CD & DVD, gifts ... There is a public toilet upstairs. From the door on Queen st., Can walk through to Custom st.
19Nov16 an L-shaped arcade from Queen Street to Customs Street (or vice versa). Much refurbished of four decades. First class ground floor stores' presentations in their respective shop fronts. Well lit. Public walking areas are a bit crowded now with tables in the Queen Street end of the arcade as well as at the arcade elbow where iconic Marbeck's store is located. I am sad to see that Champagne Glass (a store) has replaced the chocolate shop since I was last here (five years ago). Try a hot chocolate at Mojo
The most beautiful Arcade in Auckland, with lots of tourists stopping by to take a photo! The Arcade has unique retailers: it s the only place you can find amazing shoes from Brazil, Russian souvenirs, beautiful clothes from Ferracci Italian clothes, I got one top made in Paris from them, merino shop, shoe repair, three places to buy coffee, shushi, a hairdresser, alteration and many more. It is a little shopping mall where you can find everything! Dont forget to go upstairs! ;)
Lots of great shops in the classic old shopping mall/arcade environment.
Queen's Arcade has been around for awhile. The first visit to a friend's shop who is an Astrologer was in 1996. Queen's Arcade is still established. Beautiful arrays of shopping outlets there.
I find this to be an everlasting haven in central town. Always something interesting to see, and a bit away from the sidewalk noise. Great clothes and accessories shops
Nice place with a great choice of shops and an awesome bar at the top called Neo.
Every time I Visit Auckland city, I love walk around Queens Arcade, it's enjoyable!
I really liked their painted mural.
I love this little shopping area. The music store is nice and the little games dungeon is amazing, would definitely recommend checking it out.
it's another shopping arcade at queen street auckland
A few interesting stores for people with money to spend. Lacking a bit of atmosphere. Great vinyl store and an interesting kitchen store.
Excellent coffee. Hidden gem in the heart of the city. Lovely balcony view of Queen Street.
Not a lot of people go thru here but everything is there they have A Devenport chocolate shop when I passed thru beautiful chocolate but very quiet Marbecks Music store heaps bargains .but a must go see.
Nice place to relax, nice shops too. My place to hang around next to home and muse around beautiful expensive stuff which I barely can afford to buy 😋😂
Love all the shops especially the kitchen shop and the games shop down the stairs
Good place for secret shopping. A bit hidden away but that makes it even better – less crowded.
Such a lovely Arcade the shops are great. Little bit of down town Auckland that hasn't been spoilt.
NZ Fabrics and Yarns great stock, friendly staff.
Old Nostalgic place great memories of my youth
Cute little shops
This is one of the cutest arcades ever! Don't forget to go up the stairs... Five stars
Lots of interesting shops and lovely shopkeepers
Has a cafe, coffee shops, music shop and retails and also public toilet and seating area
Always enjoyed the Queen's Arcade. Marbecks, Delissimo etc. Has a nice olde world charm.
I love their interiors. I love passing by and checking out the outlets. It's very well maintained.
Cute place to get food or coffee. Plenty of selection and nice looking inside.
Good selection of shops. Particularly loved the kitchen place
It was just a quick stop to the cafe inside but the coffee was good and the food yum .. what more could you ask for ??
Such a lovely place, small but good. there are some restaurant and haircut shops
Queens Arcade space invaders pacman Defender Frogger Donkey Kong Asteroids
This is a must. The shops are awesome. Something for everyone. The architecture is something to view.
Unchanged
The only place in nz for records or cds or dvds and flowers
Great gift shop in here and I noticed a few new places to eat, coffee shop, sushi place and a tea shop which were busy.
There's not a shopping center, but you can visit small shops and some service on firts floor.
Went to Marbecks .. IMHO one of the best CD/vinyl music shops around.
Went to the New Zealand yarn and fabric store - fantastic and great customer service
Cool place to shop, variety of items. Have a great experience.
Good chinese service
Best arcade at the bottom of Queen Street, with a good variety of shops.
Had an hour exploring this arcade recently. Took me 10 years to manage to visit. Worth the time.
Quirky olde worlde style arcade with some very lovely shops, well worth a browse on a slow day.
Lots of very interesting shops
Worth a quick look to see if any shops interest you. There are a few good specialty shops here.
Service could have been faster. Only 2 drinks were ordered Lunchtime Thursday 14.12.2017
