M.Southmall isn't much to look at it features about 5 or 6 $2/variety shops new world, pharmacy, crackerjack, a couple of hairdressers, a couple of food shops and clothing stores. It could do with a revamp of some of the stores to give it more appeal. The outside could also do with some cleaning.
L.Cracker-jack Manukau better staff, more helpful. I was overcharged at Southmall took long time to get refund, I wasn't happy. Good buys to be had, easy parking at rear.
L.I have a teally nice experience at South malls dollar dealers and salvation army the other day. All of the staff at both sites where really helpful esp dollar dealers where one ladie really went the extra mile.
D.The whole place is a bit of a dump. Full of $2 type shops with New World being the only big box retailer. The photos are from there.
A.Basic needs in this mall. Good service at the nail and brow place. However, it was not open when I went there looked as if it was closed down.
C.I've always shopping at New world southmall, I like going there because theres no qeue at the line outside it's just inside when people are ready to pay their shopping but it's not a long wait.
T.Quite a nice place just a few spots that needed a bit of tidy up but 2as good
M.A great little shopping mall offering a wide range of stores, shops and food.
K.Planty of car park and everything is inside also there is a train station just next to. Perfect!
C.Good shopping at the Salvation Army store. Plenty of available parking.
A.I grew up in Manurewa..although the BIG BRANDED shops are gone from Southmall now,what remains keeps the Mall a Quaint and Quiet place to shop👍💯
V.A quick stop to purchase groceries from a supermarket.
The area was dated, cramped and crowded.
V.It was lovely and clean. Not many people were there the day I was there.
I.Great Mall....got some good winter bargains. The only thing wrong was that the toilets were unclean at 1pm.
Great for Train Station right outside the door.
F.The short dude who does security in new world is a bit of a tosser he likes to focus on the young ppl hes not very nice .
H.I've found that the customer rapport has always been friendly & professional.
Which is more than I can say (straight up) an impatient customer 30ish, so rude.
The (checkout) Duty Manager was busy resetting the Self Service till. It's the weekend slow down & chillax 💯☮
J.Love it in southmall neworld, southmall fisheries dragon takeaway photo kitchen to name some of the best places to shop n eat oh forgot Malaysian corner bomb AZ too.
p.New world was fabulous and the staff were great and very helpful. Keep up the good customer service guys,,we love you all the way we were looked after. Have a wonderful and blessed day. God bless you all team new world south mall
J.They say the people out south are hard but that is true of most areas today as people are forced to protect what they have in these times. I live out west but visit south often as my family are from there all I can say is don't be to quick to judge a book by it's cover as I have lost my wallet on more than one occasion in southmall & both times it has been handed in resulting in me getting back all my money & personal belongings & to find out that the person how found it was much more in need of the money than me but knew handing it in was the right thing to do. Always had a good experience shop at Southmall
U.Very open and spread out across two blocks with a supermarket and affordable fashion stores.
R.Cool place to hangout. Shops in here too.
T.Hasnt changed much from 15+ years ago... good stores and plenty food choices, heaps of parking. public transport available (bus, train)
s.It's ok not like my usual but I do need to go through here to get to crackerjack and to get to pho kitchen. Well alot cleaner than mangere town centre and otara chopping centre.

A.Definitely like the efficency of the businesses there, highly recommend to the locals
F.Not the glory that it once was, however it does the trick. Especially if you're sick of the no parking and people congested Westfield Manukau. Hopefully in time it is fully brought back to life.
M.Has New World onsite as well as Crackerjacks and other smaller stores.
D.Post shop was closed but was able to post mail through the external shutes.
L.It is very tasty noodle soup shop. Especially, raw beef noodle soup is on top of list. The curry chicken and rice is very tender tasty, that is total different favor with India curry. Fresh spring rolls are must ordered on first visit. The store provides fast service, meal will be ready in 10 minutes. Also, they are able to service large group effectively. By the way, hygiene grade is A, washroom keeps tidy and clean, mobility accessible, takeaway is available, lots of parking available at South mall car park.

A.Has a small area for kids in the centre of the Mall with few attractions.
Designed for anyone, including people with disabilities, but popular amoung all the Manurewa families due to location.
This was the first Shopping Centre been opened in Manukau-Manurewa region.
C.Haha rewa hard but yeah this place doesn't get any better. Just bring back BK when it used to be at the front. Used to always visit the ashnet back in the day and hit up that bakery for the goods. Still a great bakery too, but the rest of the southmall is aight. Highly recommend the boss barber on the outside and yummy king for that bbq if you're here for whatever reason lmao. I miss united video 🙄😂
M.Pretty good, needs more variety though
l.Southmall has Crackerjack and a $2 shop (everything $2) which is awesome for those on a limited budget. New world here is cheaper than other areas and has some excellent instore specials.
A.Very good only shop at a few places. Like to get my wool here from the 2dollar shop. Lots to choose from. Just don't like the workers following or watching you through aisles. My only let down.

J.Nice if you know what you need from here. Not for the faint hearted though. Approached by some scetchy people most times.. my friends kid got bullied & beaten here - is a regular occurrence apparently. Out numbered. No good, not safe.
T.The best vietnamese place in South Auckland. Food was amazing and came quickly. Had high chair for kids. Good prices too. Definitely will be a regular here.
G.It's good especially for money I'd say if you like to spend little. Food is tasty here.
P.No vape shops anywhere 😕 but my son got him some new threads from the Chinese shop .. then wanted to go showoff at the park 😹
B.New World is the mainstay of Southmall and is a good supermarket. The watch repair and sales shop is good and worth supporting.Crackerjacks is worth a look in.
The other retail outlets struggle a bit. Manukau Westfield has taken a lot of business from Southmall.
Overall, Southmall has seen better days.

D.Not a fair review because I can still remember the days of old when there were good shops inside the mall, not all the cheap asian stores.
What to do when this is your local mall, still does the job and there are still some gems nestled in amongst the dollar stores.

M.It's clean and quiet not like other malls that have music on and it's more like a club. southmall has got my favorite stores and the people who work in there are nice to talk to and helpful 5 stars awesome

From Takeaways including Tobys, Indian food, Sushi, McDonald's & KFC, Pharmacy, Emplorium stores, Cafe, Sport Bars/Bars, New World Supermarket, Library, Embroidery shops, Banks such as ASB, BNZ, ANZ, Kiwibank/Post shop, Meat shop, Veggie shop etc People are pretty descent 👍🏼

T.I was at Southall Pharmacy today getting meds I pick up daily from, my pharmacist is the most wonderful man Nowaff!!!!
S.The mall is alway clean and has some great shops in there, only negative is it could use a few more good shops.

K.Grew up in the area , I feel like a few well known shops , a revamp / renovation of south mall can make it a much nicer placer to be.

L.Southmall can be a great place to visit for cheap imports. I personally think there are too many of these types of shops there but is way preferable than seeing empty shops. There is also a nice friendly little New World there also. I have found the workers here are unfailingly cheerful, polite, and helpful.
M.Is my old school hang out place when the tekedrome was there ahahahaha..it has now upgraded alot to my days and is still a good place with many options inside my fav place in southmall is sushi..yum n licious

A.When I was a really small kid around 3 or 4 I lived near the mall. I would go shopping around the mall with my mum and I always remember there were a lot of $2 shops and one very large one but it was also quite a depressing mall. There weren't many people and most stores were closed. I do remember the burger King had a vintage feel. The new word was big. And that's it. Just a quiet mall. But a few years back I visited again. And boy was it dangerous. Many thugs, swearing and violence, beggars etc. Parking lot Is a dark and dangerous place so be mindful.
J.Good mall only for small things that you require for home or general Duties around the house... Some good clothing stores there but nothing to Fancy....
H.There's room for improvement there's to many $2 Asian shops . But i must say your cleaners do an excellent job of keeping the toilets & Mall clean
L.They have just opened Cracker Jack's. Very cheap place sells clothes, products, kitchen Ware, cleaning products, housing products, very cheap prices. Friendly customer service 💯 other retail stores, canteens, bakery, Banks, butchers, bottle shop, new world's, cheap $2 shops etc. Every shop accessible close to each other. Babers, library. 5 bars close to each other.
M.It's a place where you can buy cheap things.
k.We actually go to the Sunday markets, next door to the shopping mall... again.... its the foid that draws us there 🤣
R.Place is a bit run down,very large ethnic population,all good.

X.Old stomping grounds from child good back in the 70's a little run down and in need of a face lift but it has nostalgia and one particular shop Fisheries Take away awesome fish & chips but my favorite battered Mussels lol I recommend it cause I travel from Otara just to eat there so worth it that is all.

R.Reasonable premises generally tidy and presented limited range of outlets parking is barely adequate can be congested at rear parking area has good loading zones out front.
T.Lots of great specials. Great atmosphere and customer service. Plenty of parking, but can be very busy at times. It was a quick in and out for me which worked out great.
L.I like going to Southmall although it does have too many cheap Asian style shops. I notice that Cheapskates has opened there now an this shop has some amazingly good bargains. The Mall itself is always clean and tidy. Be careful of tickets though if you do not have a current WOF or Rego.
M.Pretty good range of shops. Heaps of parking out back by train stop. Late wholesalers & friendly.
P.Having Crackerjacks in South Mall has really lifted the Mall. They have lots of quality goods at fair prices.
I shop at New world, the Chinese shop in the old New world store, the other 2 dollar shop opposite Cjacks, Pohs for meals, the banks, Golden dragon, paper plus, and Crackerjacks. I do not have to go to the warehouse all the time.
The service at Crackerjacks has been good. Keep it up Brownies, you make us feel welcomed.

J.Lots of stores with specials and cheap goods. Awesome hairdresser and my wife always visits the beauty place for eyebrows. Good prices too. Parking is a bit hard but otherwise OK.
m.🚻 clean, a bit tired, went to the 5 cheaper shops including crackerjacks for small stocking fillers, great service and stock knowledge

J.Another food place I love called pho kitchen pork chop on rice is my favorite I always order an extra chop and it comes with a little bowl of soup yum very nice GREAT SERVICE. PHO KITCHEN

It's a shame the council don't do a full renovation as it's easy parking and having the train so handy

B.My local township, there is always alot of things happening here, pedestrians are amazing, managers and employee's are also amazing and help you if you need it. 😊 This place will always be my recommendation!!!!

H.This place has gone down. There are barely any decent shops and the eateries besides fastfood outlets have taken a hit. No homeless people in site anymore which is a bonus.

b.Grew up in Rewa but haven't been back to Southmall in a very very long time. New World was good as usual but there are cheaper options in Takanini or Manukau.
Lots of $2 shops and barbers around the mall and. Big Clearance shed (yes, I know they changed names) and. Few hidden gems. No food court that I know of but plenty of bakery's and takaways nearby.
R.It's alright to get your shopping done they have butchers and veges shops aswell as new world, or even if it's the lazy day and ya don't feel like cooking plenty of food places to get food from.
P.It's my local. More to it than you may expect. Good buys. Useful things. Some nice places for lunch.Plenty of parking...or go there by bus or train.

C.This place is local to where I reside and it has everything you'd need from dollar stores to a supermaket with everything between! Quite a few places to get a good bite to eat aswell.

J.Not super fond of this place. Everything was fine except for the amount of rubbish that was lying around. The atmosphere didn't feel positive to me.
L.Southall Shops is the go to place for random chats and meetings for all people and cultures... stops cabin fever (if you know what I mean).
