Adam and his team were so helpful when I had to find and purchase a mobility scooter from my home in Canada for my Dad in Auckland. Adam understood what Dad needed and found the perfect scooter. Within 48 hours of my first phone contact, the team at Walk on Wheels had delivered the scooter to Dad, confirmed that it met his needs and provided instructions on its use. Dad absolutely loves his scooter and is thrilled to have his mobility back - his beaming smile while driving his new wheels says it all. Thank you Adam and everyone at Walk on Wheels. I bought a Pegasus Pro mobility scooter from Adam at Walk on Wheels a few months ago. He was helpful and had great advice. I was happy to get a scooter from a place that provides a lot of support around repairs if required. It's been a great purchase - freedom on wheels.

We hired a powered wheelchair as a trial. The service are empathetic, friendly and knowledgeable about all aspects of the products. We were so impressed with the machine we have now transferred the hire to a purchase agreement. They gave us a lot of practical suggestions to help the user. Access into the building is easy. Highly recommended.

Adam helped my mum pick out a mobility scooter. She came back from their showroom feeling encouraged, heard, helped and excited about her choice. When she needed something checked on the scooter a couple of weeks later, she was met with quick and helpful responses. Could not recommend more. WONDERFUL service and VERY caring approaches to customers. Thank you for looking after my Mum.

After a couple of phone calls with helpful and knowledgeable staff members to discuss suitable mobility scooters, my mother and I arranged to visit the showroom. We both tried out the recommended scooter - a pre-loved Invacare Comet Alpine, in very good condition. The scooter got up a steep slope with no problem - it definitely passed the hill test! No sales pressure whatsoever. Noticing that one of the armrests was slightly damaged we were assured this would be replaced prior to delivery, which was just a couple of working days later. Very happy with the service provided by this friendly team.

Believe the reviews on Google. Adam and the team are amazing. Their knowledge and customer service is above 5 star. I had to coordinate a rental powered wheelchair from Australia for my mother in NZ - throughout the team listened to what we needed and were confident that their experience would see her with the right chair for her needs as an amputee. I waited today with baited breath and got this email from Mum: "Very jazzy chair arrived just now. Quite speedy and much more easier to use than my hospital one. Even has a horn! Mum" Thank you Adam and the team - when it's time to buy we will be in touch.

Such great service! I contacted them regarding what I needed for an ill grandparent on Thursday, had an order confirmed by Friday and delivery arranged for Monday. Everyone I dealt with was delightful but the delivery ladies really went above and beyond getting everything set up in my grandparents' home. It was a one stop shop for everything that I needed with lots of flexible options, including renting and finance. I didn't even bother shopping around as it all came together so smoothly.

I hired a scooter for my 80 year old mother who was over here on holiday for 3 weeks. She comes out each year and this is the first year we have done this. WOW! She was over the moon with the life changing opportunities she had that she had never done before in Auckland. Going around the shopping mall, visiting the botanical gardens, joining us for walks along the promenade. I highly recommend trying one and the team at Walk on Wheels were fantastic. I was motivated by the overwhelmingly positive reviews to visit the Walk on Wheels showroom, hoping to find a suitable walker that could make walking less painful. Adam was cheerful, helpful and very informative. He recommended a 4-wheel model that is easily and quickly collapsible and portable, light but sturdy, and that features a "director's chair" type of seat at the front. The price was very reasonable so I decided to buy it on the spot. Not only have I been walking pain-free, but the seat makes getting around so flexible, with no need to keep an eye out for nearby places to sit. It also has an ample velcro-closed pouch under the seat. There's even a place for carrying my walking stick! Their range of devices is very large. I can recommend without hesitation that you pay them a visit when you or a relative are in the market for a mobility aid!

I have recently purchased a Comet Pro mobility Scooter from Walk on Wheels Penrose and I would strongly recommend this Company to anyone looking to buy a mobility scooter. Adam was 100% committed to suggesting the best option for my requirements for a scooter which were safety, comfort and the power to manage the gradient of my daughter's street when visiting her. I was unable to get to Penrose to view the scooters so he arranged for two models to be brought to Selwyn Village for me to try the following day. A few days later I needed a little assistance with a problem I had and technicians were here the following day to sort things out. Note - there was NO problem with the scooter ... the error was mine! There was no pressure at all to purchase. Just helpful, friendly advice from a caring and very knowledgeable Company. My advice?? .....look no further than Walk on Wheels. PAT - (Pt Chevalier)

I needed help with mobility after an injury and am very grateful to Adam and Karl from Walk on Wheels for how easy they made it for me to get the right equipment and help, in keeping with ACC support. They were very knowledgeable of mobility issues and the equipment options for different stages of recovery, and were highly professional yet extremely kind. Karl delivered the equipment, adjusted it to my needs, gave me a full run through of how to use it correctly, and could not have been more patient. I cannot recommend Walk on Wheels more highly.

I am so happy to see my partner enjoy mobility on his scooter. Having been in a wheelchair for over 2 years due to his progressive Parkinson’s Disease. We were visiting New Zealand for 6 weeks and I needed a mobility scooter due to a torn Achilles tenon. We rented one from Walk on Wheels based on their great reviews. We were certatnly not disappointed. The scooter was an ideal solution and the service was excellent. The are efficient and a pleasure to work with as well. They went out of their way to make renting easy. We recommend them without reservation.

I highly recommend Walk on Wheels - we travelled in NZ for 5 weeks, and they expedited the rental of a scooter for my husband to use, setting it up with a left hand drive. The scooter was in pristine condition and worked fabulously well everywhere we went. They were helpful in many ways, orienting us to the scooter, giving us directions, and offered excellent service, all at a very reasonable price. We would definitely use them again.

Adam and Chris run a professional, customer oriented organisation. Probably helped by Adam's personal situation he and Chris show a real customer empathy. As Adam says, he really wants to meet the customer's needs. Nothing is too much trouble and I believe their after sales service,(and what else really matters), is excellent. In our case they met all our requirements, including two small modifications we asked for at the time of purchase and followed up later with some other variations we also required.. I would like to thank Adam and the Walk on Wheels team for helping me rent a scooter for my 86 year old Nana who travelled on a 15 day cruise with my family and I. Both my parents are disabled and in wheelchairs. They came to New Zealand to visit us as a "bucket trip" for their 50th Wedding Anniversary We needed absolutely everything to adapt our house to cater for them and to get them around everything they wanted to do and see in NZ. Adam was brilliant with providing/sourcing and advising equipment to hire and buy and extremely generous with his time. He was also very flexible around dates of pick up and delivery. He was genuinely happy and interested in how much we had managed to do with the parents and sympathetic to the problems and adversities disabled people still face in NZ. The Walk on Wheels team have been providing lifter chairs for my mother for a number of years, and the moment anything goes wrong with a chair they're out to repair it almost immediately. They completely understand just how vital the chair is to mum's comfort, and their fast repair service is beyond amazing. It was a year ago that the older lady I care for with hip problems wanted a scooter. Because I wanted to get it right, Adam at WOW very patiently went through educating me about all the options, but at that time my lady backed out. This week my wife and myself and my older lady returned to Adam to go through it all again. Poor man, it was like the Spanish Inquisition! We were prepared to pay for the most expensive scooter, but Adam eventually guided us to a used one for half the price. No pressure. After being driven around four other suppliers of mobility scooters, who just didnt tick the box, we went to Walk on wheels. I knew we were in the right place when the first question was, do you need a chair? We talked about the requirements I have after a number of back surgeries and Adam was straight onto the the Scooter and wheel chair I needed. I had been using a scooter that had been loaned to me but as soon as I sat on the product Adam indicated, I was sold. A really smooth ride. I didnt need to try anything else it was the right machine first time. The Team at Walk on wheels have given me a number of useful suggestions and clearly know their products. The Auckland Botanic Gardens needed to upgrade to Electric Wheelchairs for the public to use whilst they are visiting. Adam provided us with insightful advice regards which chairs would best suit our needs. Karl came to site with a wheelchair to ascertain our specific needs, then modified the wheelchairs to suit. I would like to thank Adam and Karl and highly recommend Walk on Wheels.

The team at Walk on Wheels provided outstanding service to provide me with a portable Mobility Scooter for my mother in law. While the mother in law can still walk short distances with the aid of a walking stick, the scooter allowed her to not only go further but actually participate as a young adult. A 5km brisk walk with us was not an issue. Unfortunately she had started living life from a distance while sitting in the car and not actually being part of many events. The mobility scooter changed that instantly. It was surprisingly pleasing how accepted the scooter is. Shops advising "bring it in there is plenty of room to drive around", even in small stores. I would highly recommend Walk on Wheels for there knowledge and advise. There are may choices of scooters and getting the right one is the key. Regards Peter

These guys are so knowledgeable and so kind. It’s the best experience I’ve had since I became wheelchair bound. They absolutely understand the issues and the importance of choosing the right chair for your life. No hard sells, just lots of knowledge. Excellent service. We needed a wheelchair for our daughter after knee surgery and they were great. Fixed us up with what we needed and provided training for her in how to use the chair.

My mum suffers from Parkinsons and had lost her mobility. She was convinced a electric mobile wheelchair would be the answer. I popped in and talked to Adam and he was most helpful. We took a rental chair for a week to see if mum could handle it. It has been awesome and Adam took the first week's rental off the price and helped out with other things that mum wanted. I can't recommend the Walk on Wheels team highly enough.

My husband and I spent a week travelling around Northland with my elderly mother. As mum cannot walk too far due to a knee problem we hired a wheel chair from Walk on Wheels. They delivered the chair to our hotel and also collected it from our hotel on return. Such an excellent and convenient service to have and at a reasonable rate. We can not thank them enough. Walk on wheels made our New Zealand holiday . The wheelchair was already delivered at our hotel way ahead of our arrival. The chair was almost new and very easy to dissemble for transport in the hire car.We recommend Walk on wheels for anyone who needs a wheelchair at short notice in the North Island .Very pleasant staff to communicate with. If necessary we will certainly use them again.

I recently purchased a second hand Invercare Mobility Scooter privately for my mum. Shopped around for batteries, parts etc... finally deciding on Walk on Wheels in Penrose. I am a woman with severe Cerebral Palsy. My Mum and I arrived in Auckland a week ago for a two month holiday from South Africa with my brother and sister in law! Sadly I was unable to bring my own electric chair for various reasons. Being independent and stubborn, I felt like a fish out of water without my electric chair. New Zealand is breathtakingly beautiful and I so wanted to be able to get into my chair, go out and enjoy the beauty of Auckland while my family were at work during the day! My mother has suffered from co-mobidities over the last few years especially in her legs. We recently purchased a Lift Chair and a walker from here and required assistance from the team so I emailed Adam to let him know if someone could come help us out with the chair. It was picked up and dropped back off with repairs in only a few hours. I would like to recommend Walk on Wheels. I recently had the misfortune of using another company to service my IHC brothers mobility scooter, and had nothing but problems, and believe they replaced things that were OK, and left things that needed fixing (at a cost of nearly $1000.00). I then went to Walk on Wheels, they were understanding, very knowledgeable , honest and bent over backwards to help me.

I bought a second hand wheelchair with no footrests. It was the only one that would fit in my house,which was what it was for. I spent 3 frustrating days trying to footrests, there were none. these guys are true professionals - knowledgeable, helpful, empathetic and solution oriented as well as very encouraging to the person in need. Willing to adjust equipment when required and patient with users. Apart from the fantastic instore service I was blown away by a phone call I made to them to follow up re ACC details. The first thing Adam said to me on the phone was 'how is your husband doing...is he adjusting to the equipment ?' Reflecting a genuine interest in their customers and a level of compassion / support rarely encountered. The detail re ACC was very secondary. I've now had my little Invacare Leo a month so and I'm delighted at the restored freedom it gives me. It's a great little scooter--now I'm past the beginner stage I can see how very uncomplicated it is.Just fun to have... I''ve been so impressed by Adam's laid-back approach: first in getting it to me from one the other side of Auckland to the other, and again and his willingness to accept my phone calls about any small query I might have. I recently used the liteway mobility scooter on a recent trip to the States. I was reluctant to use this but we did want to make the most of our trip and I wanted to be able to participate fully in a full days activities. The scooter was so easy to board the flight. i could go right up to the plane door on it and it was there when I stepped out of the plane. It was free on board as well . We ubered alot and the scooter amazed drivers with how easy it was to assemble and disassemble. They were all too happy to help - but the kids had it well under control within minutes. i would recommend the liteway scooter for fellow travellers who want to make the most of each day. It gave me independence and control over what I wanted to do.

Mum as recently purchased a mobility scooter from Walk on Wheels penrose, they are such a helpful team, understanding what was needed and helping us find a solution to fit mums needs, and no big sales pitch just friendly helpful advice. She got a liteway rascal, it pulls apart and fits into the boot of my car. On the way home from purchasing it we called into dressmart onehunga somewhere that mum has been to but has to be wheeled around on her walker as it's just too far for her to manage as she gets too breathless walking . She was off in and out of the shops bargain hunting with everyone else. We have now been to Westcity, Northwest and Albany malls and last saturday her first trip on the train into britomart then on up to freyberg square to join in on world wide knit in public day, then on up queen street to wendy's for lunch. The last time she was able to independently go that far was 12 years ago. So if you are thinking of ringing her at home don't waste your time she will be out and about living life to the fullest.
