It's handy having the shops of the Mall so close. One thing lacking in Eastgate is a decent hardware store. There's quite a lot at The Warehouse but nothing like a Mitre 10 or Bunnings. I'd even settle for a Hammer Hardware if I had to.

Very seldom go here but needed to go to lincraft for some craft supplies.Not a lot here but it does have a few good places like the wharehouse,Countdown,Number one shoes,Bargain Chemist,Aquisitions and a few other shops.Food court is pretty average.Easy to get a park and rarely over crowded.

I went there last thursday, it was like any other typical thursday for me. I woke up, fed the dogs, fed the wife, You know the ususal. While on my way to work, i saw the Green Glow of subway. I walked in and was greeted with a "Hey what can i get started for you" This is a reflief If i may say so. Compared To how the wife treats me, WOW. This is why i gave it 5 stars, due to that kind worker who has really made my week seem a little bit brighter.

A local mall to us and never had any issues just a couple of things that need to be looked in to is the road between the mall and carpark is in terrible condition the bus that travels through here needs to be re routed and the new kfc drive through is a awful design it needs changing as it has been backed up by so much customers that people exiting the mall have to drive on the wrong side of the road not ideal as this causes accidents and tension between people.

brilliant shopping centre. I find the palms, Werstfield and Northlands far too busy and cluttered with people cant find a carpark, these fancy shopping centres are only for the rich people that buy fancy brands of items. people like me on a lower income find the warehouse has nice cloths for the the affordable price. Its a matter of choice for everyone.

A small, easily accessible shopping centre cor of Linwood Ave and Buckleys Road. It now houses the Linwood library, medical Centre and a few other offices where the Farmers Department Store used to be. It has a Food Court which is quite popular with locals and visitors alike. Choice of dishes include Indian, Chinese, roast meals, fish and chips, soups, sushii coffee and hot drinks. The Mall houses the Warehouse, Countdown , Number one shoes, Pagani, Postie Plus, Max out, Pharmacy and a few others. It has toilets, Carpark, escalators and lifts.

Easy to find with great parking!! Good selection of shops at reasonable prices. Food forecourt also has a good selection of both hot and cold foods. All the essentials like countdown, Westpac, warehouse, post office(back of paper plus) Toilets are clean and tidy. The mall as a whole is clean and tidy.

Eastgate requires a new brand/image/identity As it serves a keystone landmark for the suburb of Linwood and its surrounding neighbors. At this time, great for essential shopping. Not destination Shopping.

The day I went to the mall we in were in level 3 lock down. And was only there to get my 1st vaccination jab. So it was pretty empty at that time.

Not a Large complex in terms of shop variety. Has a good food hall and a Covid Vax center. It is easy to access with private or public transport. Not necessarily my first choice mall.

Great little mall for all your daily and wants. Good selection of food in the food court. My favorite is a little bakery located adjacent to the chemist warehouse. Their food is yummy as, and the staff who serve your are awesome.

Eastgate is my local and is as good as it could be I guess. Management should understand that if they lowered the rents and/or negotiated with some better store owners, then the customers would come back. There are a few ok stores but nothing really of substance and what small shopping center needs 3 Pharmacies with a 4th just across the road too? When Eastgate lost Farmers, the center went down hill. A men's clothing store would be good and even an electronics store. Not like Magpies who were selling their stuff for 3 times the market value. Eastgate has potential but Management has to pull finger in order to make that potential happen.

Closest place to where I was with a shady park for my dog on hot sunny day. Discovered @cquisitions by accident. Best ever place to find a fantastic present within a budget. Mum's 91st Birthday not easy to but for. Cut Crystal blue flowers in a vase under $20. Gift wrapped $5. Never seen Mum so overwhelmed with Joy at a present before. When I moved the flowers into the sunshine her joy doubled. Must definitely go to shop ever.

Small basic mail, warehouse, eb games, pharmacy, lincraft, foodcourt etc. The countdown actually has a good range. Very casual vibe, you can go in your pyjamas or gumboots and fit right in. Take the kids in their onesies. It's fine.

It's very limited selection. I think there were more vacant shops than occupied ones. This whole place needs a re think. It was good before the quakes but selection of shops now is very limited. If the Warehouse was not on site then there would be hardly any reason to visit. Hopefully they can pull this around.

An eastern institution. A good place to come and bump with fellow people from the east. It has suffered since the earthquakes but the stores that have stayed are great and we need tk continue to support them. The food court is good, franks coffee is a must and the.book store always has great deals. Suppor local, support eastgate.

Its not the worst mall in chch. It's got a good bb&b, no1 shoes, acquisitions ( which I love) a warehouse and lovely sushi....plenty of choices of chemists too, with bargain chemist, unichem life and countdown pharmacy! You can even get a delicious bubble tea there.

East Gate is great if you want to pick up some books from the library, get some good sushi, or do a bit of grocery shopping. However the place has been looking a bit sad recently. I don't know if it's just because of the area its in or if its just because its slowly been in decline since the earthquakes, but its definitely a shell of its former self.

I have always had excellent service at Eastgate Warehouse. The staff are awesome, friendly and extremely helpful. I love shopping there. I am in a wheelchair and the aisles are wide and it is very easy to manouvre around the shop. Thank you," The Warehouse Eastgate".

Plenty of shops to choose from and not the crowds like bigger malls. Service is top notch wherever you go.

Great shopping centre with a variety of places to eat at and heaps of seating. There is a little playground upstairs for the kids to play and ilthe seating area is also quite spacious. Overall the mall is filled with lots of places to look at and a medical centre upstairs. Countdown and the ware house is also connected, so it's quite convenient.

Apart from the Palms this was the very next mall I learnt how to get to effortlessly. It's not much to look at but the Warehouse, Library and Paper Plus are my most visited areas!

Linwoods eastgate is top class if not rather small with convieniences like the bargain chemist, supermarket and 'Warehouse' making the weekly shop as easy as.

This is a very nice mall to go. It does not have a very wide range of activities and services, but the few things it has are very good. I really like how open the area is and how well organized everything is. The only "issue" is that there are some specific services that are a little hard to find if you go first time. For the rest, everything is perfect. Highly recommended to go with family, friends, partner, etc. :)

Smaller mall than most but always clean, tidy and has a variety of shops for local shopping. Plenty of parking. Library and Medical center in side the mall. This is a fantastic community mall rather than a big shopping mall. Good food court and toilet facilities. Bus connections great and varied.

Eastgate is my local Mall. I am so grateful that the shops that are there have stuck around. It is an important place in the community as it has places like the medical centre, the Loft, council services, Library plus all the shops. I find it a great place for the community to meet because you can actually have a conversation in the food court and it's lovely seeing familiar faces all around. Parking is never an issue. Eastgate puts on events for the children during school holidays and recently put on 'Trick or Treating' for the children and it was so lovely that most of the shops got involved. It may not be as flashy and shiny as the the other malls in Christchurch but it it has everything my family needs without feeling pretentious.

Small, has a medium-sized food court with a Council library upstairs and a connecting Warehouse and Countdown. It's easy to navigate and has a quaint feel to it, as well as being tidy. Not a great tourist area but fit for the locals.

Postie plus, pagani and number one shoes would be my highlight of the mall. There is a playground upstairs which is cool. Not many food court options. I think a glassons would be great there. A lot of homeless do hang about outside unfortunately that comes with the area that it is in.

It's not the most stunning mall out there and has a bit of a run down feel to it. That said, there are still some useful shops to be found within its walls. The main reason for me to visit is it's the closest Warehouse and Warehouse Stationery

A nice collection of unique small stores that slowly go out of business while the Staples prop the mall up. Late hours warehouse and countdown always appreciate, facilitys usually quite clean, decent set of food stores but lacking entertainment for the kids, bring back a decent timezone!

Eastgate Shopping Centre, 20 Buckley’s Road, Linwood, Christchurch. Surprised to see how quite it was here for the time of the year; the mall has the basic shops you need. But it really could do with made over rather dirty outside and in need of some TLC. Great mall for the locals of the Linwood community with the medical centre and council services, Library etc.

A big shop full of cheap products of all kinds including grocery items and hardware, clothes and footware,gardening items and just about every thing you would need. But not fruit and vegetables. A dark place with a lack of fun atmosphere. Huge carpark.

Met a total stranger in The Warehouse and we had an awesome conversation. The only downside was the one store in Christchurch that had the item I'd been looking for didn't take credit, so I couldn't make the purchase.

Haven't actually been there since they renovated some time ago. Was impressed it's a nice bright airy mall with some nice shops. Parking and pedestrian access was very good.

This was my view from the Countdown Supermarket. Lovely people who work there at the store and the best place to eat in the mall is Frank's Cafe in the food court. A hidden secret.... their food is incredible!

Always enough parking, not a huge mall but good range of lower priced bargain shops, i love it, the 1-2-3$ asian shop, warehouse, postie, number 1 shoes, and way more always get a good deal here. Plenty of space in food court, and every giant fast food chain within 100m of the mall not that it interests me 😂 i go for the best sushi in christchurch @ sushi time in the food court 😍 we got free santa photos at Christmas for my daughter too!

It has a big supermarket and a library. The Warehouse is attached to it so it's really handy. The mall has only one healthy alternative, that is sushi, but it has nice female shops and some with affordable prices. There's a Number One Shoes store there.

An awesome shopping centre with the good variety of retail,cafe and hospo brands. It also has a wee library on the top floor. Doesn't have to sweat hard to find the parking spot unlike riccarton mall.

Eastgate Mall, well what can I say. Not enough shops. Too many paedophiles running around Mall. Toilets a little dirty at times. Security lacking sometimes. Disability parks often have vehicles in them that shouldn't be there. Staff I noticed when cleaning etcetera don't wear gloves. Alright if you are not too fussy on cleanliness. Staff polite but security need to watch the people who frequent the rubbish for cigarette smokes.yuck disgusted behaviour. I try and not visit there and would definitely go elsewhere if I can. Sometimes I see pedophile people walking around Mall and it gives me the creeps. I am trying very hard to name something good from this place but.....

A mall, what can you say? I recommend Subway here, lovely owner; gave me a free cookie as I was waiting. Warehouse is handy and there's plenty of parking. Head to McDonalds though, rather than KFC, as the queue is hideous when busy. Domino's is fast for a $5 pizza, and there's the women's gym upstairs to work it off! A number of shops in the food court and clothes shops for the family.

It is a great shopping complex with ease of access to the local community, some of the tenants there include The Warehouse, McDonald's, Countdown, Linwood Public Library and a Medical Centre complete with it's own Pharmacy and a fabulous Food Court

So long as you're an average human who knows how to dress themselves get on down to improve your self worth, a lot of the clientele seem like the audience of the Jeremy Kyle show. If pyjamas and ugg boots are your thing come and compare fashions

Located on the east side of Christchurch, Eastgate is a smaller shopping mall comprising a Countdown supermarket, The Warehouse, post shop, kiwi bank, Westpac bank, several specialty stores like EB games, Lincraft sewing fabric and crafts, hair cuts and stylists, pascoes jewellers, City Library branch and numerous food court offerings including mcDonalds, KFC, Burger King, and Subway. substantial parking, moderately busy place, convenient central east side location positioned on arterial routes that link all major directions. The mall is ageing a little which is why I have only 4star rated the location. Despite upgrades after the earthquakes, it still looks somewhat detracting with its back to the community. In my opinion it lacks that warm welcoming you in feeling on first sight. In saying this, it is very clean, modern inside and the service providers strive to deliver top class service to their customers.

Has a very good warehouse and number one shoes & lincraft store. Upstairs is library. Guaranteed just about to see someone walking around in either slippers, onesie or pajamas here.

Its my least favorite mall run by the crusader's. Its got everything u need in the one place. A library, a variety of places to eat and drink, a supermarket, wherehouse stationary, a library and the warehouse for all your shopping needs. But I got told I wasn't allowed to sing or beatbox or play music on my phone in the mall and trespassed for asking why, filling out a complaint form after getting kicked out of the library for eating a Lillie while checking my emails which I still haven't checked yet... I think the security are run feckers

Aquisitions here was the stand out for me. Everything else is the same as everywhere else. It does have a big warehouse outside and countdown also accessed from outside. The library, health Centre and the loft is upstairs. Not the biggest but not the worst.

Eastgate is a relaxed mall 2 shop in gr8 chemist good bargins, surrounding shops contribute 2 the atmosphere of relaxed Eastgate :) i like it as a place 2 go 2 4 a cuppa & grouceries @ Countdown. I was told by my daughter cheapest Countdown 2 go 2 shop 4 bargains !! Especially 4 family bulk buying :) warehouse lindwood is also a gr8 bargin hunting place 2 go 2.
