S.Nice Christmas decor (Santa's photo studio) in the concourse, children will definitely enjoy it. If you're worn out shopping, can even take a rest on the seating that is provided in the mall, lots of eateries to choose from if you're hungry.

A.Probably the best mall in Ōtautahi Christchurch. I've found it's much easier to find a park here most of the time than at Westfield/Riccarton and it's just nicer overall. Good range of shops. A few that you can only find here such a Lush. The food court I'd say has a better selection than some others and the food we've had here has always really good, better than the normal mall standard. Overall it's got a much nicer atmosphere than other malls and I enjoy shopping here as opposed to others where I want to get in, get what I need, and get out as quick as possible.
n.Very good sized mall with a wide variety of shops. The Langdon's Quarter is great too. Lots of food options. The Hoyts cinema is within the mall as well.
A.Nice shopping mall. It’s busy during weekends with great selection of shops and cafes. Two supermarkets Countdowm and Pack n Save so you don’t have to leave the mall. Big car park with lots of spaces.
R.Lots of parking and great layout. All the outdoors shope located near another makes shopping much easier.

s.Its alright for a mall very typical, had few shops that interested me, apart from the warehouse that is the worst and dont recommend ..was messy the changing rooms were ridiculous staff arrogant and could tell they hated there jobs.
G.It's BIG, and there's so many shops. Since I was last there, a few years ago I guess, they've upgraded the food court and its just wonderful!

J.A great mall to shopping in the shop is a friendly there's lots of new shops going up in there all the time they do have a a nice small play area for children the picture theatres in there the food court lots of variety of foods actually yeah it's a great Malta shopping it's got the warehouse PAK'nSAVE countdown it's got everything in a one-stop-shop I think the only thing not in the mall is a butcher
D.As shopping centres go this is a good one. Great selection of shops, great food options, Hoyts movie theatres, plenty good parking options, clean well run centre.
S.Always loved this mall would be great if they had more late nights though as I prefer shopping late at night so I can avoid crowds

B.Broad range of destination shopping outlets. Can be tight for carparking and navigating around Northlands and it's surrounding shopping hubs.
A.Northlands is generally a much quieter mall than the others around Christchurch. It was a good range of shops, 2 supermarkets and a warehouse it also the only Lush store in Christchurch which is a bit of a luxury if you want a wee treat for yourself or a gift for someone else. Parking a generally pretty good, the pac n save car park can fill up pretty often but you will always find a park even if it’s a little further away. The food court has a good range of food options but the seating fills up pretty quick at lunch time.

A.Northlands is always less stress and more pleasure while shopping compared to any other mall in the city.

J.Probably one of the best shopping centres in Christchurch. There are 10 different shoe shops to meet your needs! The mall has toilet an parenting facilities at both ends, and there is a good playground for children. It also features a Hoyte cinema upstairs, and has a large food court at one end which hosts many types of cuisine.

T.Big and lots of choice for food. There's also saloon and massage services, nice to giv it a massage after a day of shopping. There's supermarket , paknsave countdown, too. Big car park.

F.The best experience is by camperbus. This company and pricing is so affordable. We booked the 6 berth for 12 days including everything insurance and just dropping it off. It cost us $2500.They even stored our suitcases for free. The trip of a lifetime. So cosy safe warm our house on wheels. Cant wait to do it again. Oh yes toilet shower and grey water is so easy to deal with at the camp sites
J.All the well-known clothes shops present. Public dining area fairly small but there are several cafes as well. Shops well stocked and staff in those shops helpful and pleasant.
J.Lovely dining area, free KiwiWifi. A good place to spend hours roaming around. Please wear a mouth mask all the time.
S.A self-sufficient mall. Plenty of parking, a range of eateries, including a food court, and basic brand outlets. Outside of the building are the library, a swimming pool, and more shops. A range of restaurants exist just a short walk out of the mall too.
N.It just does what the box says. Its a mall.
A bit long for my liking, ( long way to walk back to the other end if ya forgot somthing.)
But all the shops you need are there.

B.Never seems to be enough indoor seating. Coffee is always good. Has a franchise feel. Not at Starbucks level. Would go again as I know what I'm getting.
S.Northlands is a great mall has everything' one needs for their daily shopping from the warehouse 2 supermarkets clothing stores gaming, shoes stores, body stores, the lost goes on. Recommend to others for a good experience in shoppong

B.It isn’t huge, but it seems to have stores for almost all of the shopping I do. It’s clean and well-kept and my son likes to play in the playground, possibly more than the playground at larger malls. It’s hard for me to get excited about a mall, but I like living close to this one.
J.Superb shopping centre. Unfortunately on my first visit last Sunday at 3pm I queued for over 40 minutes to get into the car park and once in another 10 minutes to to find a park.

n.The pedestrian access is very lousy. I would never even say access to Northlands mall is handicap friendly. Their is no foot paths except ONE from the main road. Their should be footpaths the street to the door of the mall but instead you have to walk ON the drive way entrances. Very poorly laid out
R.Well northlands has a Lush store ( the only one in chch) so that's enough for me to be happy with it. It also has a typo, max, smiggle, body shop, supermarket and a warehouse and loads of good quality junk shops. There is also a very decent food court. I love this mall, it has everything. I live in the city centre otherwise I would be a more regular visitor. Great playground. Kids enjoy it.

L.Our go to place for quick retail therapy. I love the general vibe of this place. Sometimes you have great offers in the stores. This place houses two of the biggest dept stores in the area - Countdown and Pak n save which is handy. Plus a good food court to eat at, great choices. Clean toilet facilities too. Ample parking unless its a sunny weekend!

L.They have certainly upped their game with the food court! Been a while since I've been to Northlands and the food court was a great surprise. It was well kept, laid out nicely and really tidy. The shops are all just the usual mall shops - good variety, plenty to choose from and pretty much something for everyone.

M.Great place. Not too busy which is good. Lots of parking and plenty of space. Also has traffic lights to help with traffic in and out. Has a good food court which has a range of food stores. Also always has activities for kids during school holidays. If you need a wheel chair or stroller for your shop they rent these out also. Favourite store is ebgames.. and that has it. So bonus.

H.I visit this mall 2 times a week for a look or to buy. Every time I go it feels like they are getting new shops but losing some old ones. They Lack of shops and very spaced out feeling makes for a lack of cohesion between both ends of the mall. I usually go no further than Farmers if I'm walking from the warehouse end. I do hope they can get more shops and make the mall feel great again

L.I use to come here often, but they have got rid of some of the shops that use to bring people over. The food court gets crowded easily but it's quite flash for a food court.

M.There's some helpful people which is great. One down side is there's not much space to take your baby out if you can't get a parents park. The public is very helpful and the mall staff are understanding even when your car decides it's not going to work

C.We met friends for dinner at the food hall. Loved it. We all had something different and we very happy with our choices, flavour and the good price too. All of the people there seem to be enjoying themselves. The man who was cleaning up the tables was very nice and polite.
B.Unlike Riccerton mall that is cramped and a little bit claustrophobic, Northlands is wide and spacious, with plenty of moving room too. The shops here are brilliant, and the food court is the best in the whole city.

J.Wow, I'm absolutely chuffed with the latest renovations of the food court, its aesthetically pleasing and really vibrant. This upgrade really suits the mall and was about time they had one too. In my opinion I believe this renovation of the food court has really brought Northlands back on top with being the busy hustling and bustling place that it is. I like the upgrade and think it's pretty awesome. Also the shops that Northlands carries makes things even better, there is not a store that is not in use. Every store I walk past always has customers which is a good sign I reckon. Often in the centre of the mall there is usually entertainment going on during some weekends, almost all school holidays and around the festive season too for the kiddies to enjoy and participate in. Overall an awesome place to come and shop, go watch a movie or meet with friends for lunch.

B.Really good place! As long as it's not a school holiday it's often less busy than a lot of other malls, which is really good if you're after a calmer day away from troubles. It sports a really nice EB games which is the least crowded I've ever been to, it's also across the road from comics compulsion, and not far from Popstop.

S.Has plenty of parking and a good selection of retailers & food outlets. Food court is always very tidy and public toilets very well kept. Service desk are always very helpful and offer wheelchairs and have a system that also lets you top up your Metro card.
R.Very big mall so many shops to look at and its food court is huge. This mall covers it all 2 supermarkets ,warehouse, kids shops, so much to see. Go and enjoy it you want be disappointed .

But they do seem to be constantly developing the mall.

M.Second largest mall in Christchurch. Handy for people traveling North or traveling from the north into the city. Has all the regular shops including 2 supermarkets, clothing shops, Farmers The Werehouse, a good moden movie theater and a very good food court.
r.Love this mall not too crowded with almost everything you need. Just needs a bit more food choices though.
M.Pretty much your standard shopping mall. All the big anchor retail outlets and banks, health and beauty, food court, etc. Never had problems finding parking, especially during the week. Toilets have always been clean when I've had to use them. Staff at help desk also friendly.

J.Tbis shopping centre has been around for a lond time now and parking is ample front and rear. Heaps of local shops and has a piblic transport hub.
b.One of my favorite shopping malls on the north side. Parking can be tough at times but if you choose your shopping times off peak (so to speak) you’ll have plenty of parking choices and a good assortment of stores
Y.I am not a fan of malls as most of my shopping needs are served elsewhere but I suppose as far as malls go, Northlands serves its purpose for local shoppers seeking the usual variety of retailers. Parking is adequate most times but busy at peak periods like Christmas.
V.One of the best shopping centres in Christchurch. Ample parking and very close to Christchurch CBD.
T.Don't like this mall because it's just too busy for me so I choose when I go and what areas I shop in. Some nice shops and a good variety too.
B.This shopping center is surely not one of the biggest and is lacking some better stores, anyhow you will be getting everything for a normal grocery and convenience shopping here.
There are some small restaurants nearby around the corner as well.
Otherwise it is a convenient short walk from the Top10 Holiday Park and thus perfect to stock up your camper.
P.Very convenient. Clean. Stores are nicely displayed amd decorated. We enjoyed walking through the Mall. Bought some food at Little Asian in the Food Court. Unfortunately not much choice here. But we still enjoyed our quick dinner.
Need to come back to check out some of the shops.
They close at 6 PM. Way too early for us.
T.This mall has made many renovations which really gave it a good lift. Love the new additions and the modern feel of the food court. Looking forward to seeing them finish the part by the Hoyt's Theatre as the construction look is getting a bit old now.

M.Looks amazing on the front/entrance side, lot's of wonderful shops to browse and buy from, however the surrounding areas of the mall, especially outside parking area by pak n save are really grubby and unkempt looking, so much litter too.... Could do with a good spruce up!!

P.Love Northlands mall out of all malls in Christchurch. Great selection of stores, friendly retail people, more seating in or leading up to food court is needed at times.
M.Quieter then big malls, doesn't have all the clothing stores but still has most things you need Really nice new food court. Good exercise walking from one end of mall to the other and back again.

What a lovely place to build anxiety and self doubt. I can't say much for the shopping here but I assume it is on par with any other Westfield complex.
You have to try the new food court. Very open, well designed and appealing. Almost every type of cuisine that a kiwi loves is on offer here. The best part? It tastes good too.
I live out of town and Northlands is often our first stop. Prior, the offering was adequate no there's something for all!

R.Really enjoy the variety in the new food court, have only tried the Japanese bowls but they're great.
Staff are cleaning tables and seats all the time so a tidy and interesting spot to stop for a bite.
The mall itself has mostly anythibg youd want from a mall so kudos
m.The stores divided and the mall feels very split with the food court way down one end and stores closing down the other but those open are always pleasant, Robert Harris is great, as is pac n save and the warehouse.
E.Nice to go around, have a coffee fix, and buy some groceries. It has a BNZ and ANZ shop with people providing nice customer services. Perfect place to end a busy day.

A.Great set up for all ages and great variety of shops. And plenty of seats for my elderly mother to rest between shops lol. Baby changing room, whow fantastic. More places need to update like northland mall.

D.The new foodhall is fantastic, lovely eating area. The noise may still be the same level but it doesn't seem to be as loud. The toilets are fantastic, definitely worth a visit. The rest of the mall is the same.

T.Now my favourite mall in Christchurch.. 2 supermarkets.. Warehouse and Farmers. Food court is big.. Trendy.. All the eateries we like. Playground for kids. Very big and high ceiling. Feels good. Good toilets.. New and spacey
J.Spacious, clean and not too crowded, it's a lovely mall to have coffee in, to hang out with friends, or have some much needed retail therapy. And with two large grocery stores and warehouse shop that close near midnight, it's a really convenient place to shop.
m.Shopping was wonderful staff in the shops were wonderful getting aparking ticket for $65 after I spent 1000 in the mall not so wonderful
S.Not too bad. Laid out in one long stretch, so you have to walk end to end to find anything. Yeah a map or kiosk would be good, but what would I know. Enjoy walking

ん.Kinda too busy over the weekend. Wasn’t great as it’s crowded and staff seemed exhausted even if they were trying to helpful. Got plenty of options. Good for shopping, dining. Still wouldn’t recommend to go during the peak hour though, as the car park was a bit of hassle to find. 😅 went there on a normal weekday, great place to chill for wee shopping and a quiet afternoon tea.
E.I prefer northlands over riccarton mall but I don't like how long it is. And could do with some different shops to make it something extra over other malls. Not a huge fan of the new food court.
Plus is, it's not overly busy and parking is a breeze even at busy periods
S.With renovations nearly complete, the new food court and mall setup is comfortable and visually appealing. Good range of shops!

C.Hi there, look sorry about this. I'm not sure how I wound up posting a one star rating for Northlands Mall. Can't actually remember posting anything on Google Maps four days ago. I know I have had to go back and correct a couple of other ratings when I inadvertently hit the first star, intending to go left to right and up the star rating; forgetting that you need to tap just the one star at the point on the scale you wish to indicate.
In any case, I have amended that entry and am happy to say I have had nothing but generally positive experiences while shopping at Northlands. Good range of stores and very helpful staff on the mall management kiosk the one time I needed a pointer to find a straying family member.
Ample parking, dining options, comfy cinema; relatively new and fresh, well serviced public restrooms; handy banking, supermarkets, pool and library all in easy walking distance of car parks. I find it easy to pop in and out of Northlands, get a few errands done, when I pass through Papanui.
V.Good mall though business is down during the day thanks to an open air mall just down the road.
C.Busy mall. Improved food courts. Parking is busy, though usually findable. Go up a level or two to save driving round. Movie theatre too. The Lone Star resturant is good, and Sal"s Pizza - yum!
Q.Lovely mall, but be prepared for the professional but distance service provided by the receptionist if your appearance implied you may not be a native speaker. They change their faces like the weather here.
Except that, lovely place to be.

M.I have some bias due to it being my local, but it is an ever improving mall, that now has a unique food court that reminds me of Australian malls.
s.Perfect location for shopping, good variety of shops. Love how cou todwn and pak n save are just on the opposite ends of the mall. Plus the warehouse inside the mall itself

K.The mall itself is good, has a variety of shop's for all different things, large food court area, restrooms kept clean. HOWEVER there is a HUGE issue with student's from the local high school. They are loud, rude, take over the food court with no regard to other. Personally witnessed on more that a few occasions groups of student's barging through elderly people, knocking them around. Security need to step up more and sort them out.
D.Great mall. Good parking. New and easy to move through. Good selection of shops. Good food court with quality food.
K.Had a haircut at just cuts, David always does a good job. Did grocery shopping at pak n save without having to stand outside in the cold. Northlands has what I need
H.Resonable mall with a good variety of clothing stores and hairdressers. The upgraded food court is fantastic and well worth a visit. Thenmain downside is that there are very few to no electronic stores within or around the mall. The only place selling any electronic goods is the warehouse which doesnt have a huge variety of electronics.
n.It is okbut visit before 6pm. Else would would find confusing to find the way out or where u parked. The paths to walk within the mall are almost closed. If you use the public transport be aware of the terminal u wanna wait as busses to different destinations stops at different terminals.
T.Nice mall has a good range of shops and an awsome food court.

J.Its a mall, nothing special. Has the usual assortment of shops. Its mostly clean. Seems to be in a state of flux with shops coming and going. The food court has the usual suspects. There isnt much to stand out, the original mall has some history but theyre trying very hard to hide it. Car parking can be a problem during busy periods.
P.I've been coming to this mall for years and it constantly changes with new shops or designs. This mall continues to keep growing despite all the events suck as earthquakes trying to knock it down. This will always be one of the many malls I'll cherish in life.
D.Northlands is great shopping mall easy access for those who are wheelchair and walker frame.
A.A great mall with so many shops. I use to live nearby years ago and went to their Pak n Save and Countdown. There is also nice cafes, bakeries, clothing shops eg Glassons, stationary stores and so much more. The building is wheel chair friendly, has a lovely small outside park sitting area, toilets and quite a lot of parking. Great mall overall.

G.You can get nearly everything you need. Its simply just one of the nicer malls in Chch to go to and not feel as though your in a cattle mart!

O.Very straight forward mall. Access to many different stores, with spaces well thought out on costumer travel. The mall is a straight line with one level so there are not many twists and turns to get you confused on which way to go. Free WiFi does not work well outside of food court and all other stores are constantly fighting for you to join their WiFi as you walk passed.
F.It's very very busy around the festive season, but apart from that, I love the food court and the architecture of this mall
M.Not a huuge huge shopping centre. It has what you need. Nicely appointed, modern interior. Cinema, food court, grocery stores. And other basic clothing, shoe, pharmacies etc. Parking can be bad weekends and afternoons.
They were quite impressive around Christmas though. They had carolers and people handing out gifts.
Always seems to be a Northlands promotion on too which is good.

S.I love the stores, especially typo. The food court is cool looking but i cant help thinking that a bunch of dust is being collected by the fake plants above all the food. I love the restaraunts as well.
I.Medium/large mall with good anchor stores. Only missing Kmart really. Has a short stop underground parking area near the Countdown. Can get congested at weekends. Has movie theatres at one end and is planning an expansion soon.
W.Not too bad given the mask requirement

C.Northlands had good places to shop. Northlands has lots of stores.
Northlands has great staff that are helpful and can help you find what you need or what store you need to go to and where it is in Northlands.
Northlands has two big supermarkets. Which is handy for when you need to go grocery shopping and do some other shopping. All shops are close at hand. Useful!
K.I like going to Northlands, the mall is always clean and the toilets, the only thing that stops me going there all the time is their parking and sometimes its just too busy, especially at Xmas time 😊
S.Fantastic mall, lots of clothing shops, 2 supermarkets both Pack 'n' Save & Countdown massive food court.. Great diversity and selection from end to end, Hoyts movie theatre, entertainment, EB games, Gloria Jean's coffee, Robert Harris coffee, Wendy's ice cream and hot dogs, The Warehouse, Farmers department store.
N.Best mall in Christchurch although can be busy. Had trouble finding bins in the food court because it was in the foyer next to the food court.
F.I am so hooked on Lush that I love to make the trip to Northlands just so I can visit. My house currently smells wonderful from all the delicious bath bombs we brought home. Plenty of other great shops to, but I'm not sure I would head all that way if it weren't for the fact they are the only mall in Christchurch with a Lush.

b.Northland's Shopping Mall has 2 well priced grocery shopping stores to compare sales between with ample car parking facilities and helpful store attendant's, I find both of them meet my every need on sale days especially when they are not that over crowded to enjoy my shopping experience
G.Great in Winter for an indoor walk. The mall is like a covered street, about a kilometre long. The food court is a bit of a barn and soulless & feels cramped. Plenty of clothing shops in the mall.
A.One of the largest shopping malls in Christchurch, Northlands probably has more shops than Riccarton mall, but less people.
There are lots of places to eat and shop, and always some event going on which other malls in Christchurch do not have.
It's easy to get lost in the mall since the shops are mostly in 1 long path.

Two supermarkets and The Warehouse, Farmers, cinema and many others under one roof. There is always something on special, always worth to visit!

R.Good mall, crowded, noisy a little gross...etc....that is just your standard mall however. There are definately amazing shops in there, more of a female mall then a Male mall.

J.The wine was great, food yummy, great calamari, it was tender and real (not the fake stuff) salmon for some reason was very salty. I'd visit again.
P.It's quieter than riccarton but parking is just as bad. The variety of shops is ok. It's all set on one level. You have a warehouse attached to the mall and both countdown and Pak n sav. Food court too. Just feels claustrophobic at times. Lone star and hoyts at other end.
F.Had a great time at Synergy getting haircut, then shopping for grandson. Already to have a lovely day with my best friend for my birthday and a late celebration of hers.
H.It's great for parking, great to have lunch after shopping, I love it, also a great place to find a present for birthdays!

K.Very nice viewing and beautiful green in a new food court area but too many crowd peoples on the boxing day by many different kind of foods ever more than old one but one problem is few seats to sit on it than before as many people tryed find a seat to eat as seem always fully. McDonald seem got more crowd ever I see but cant find a seat. Just like QE2, more crowd and got no spa or wave or sauna, miss old one waz the beat one 😔 I think northland should get some more seaters if they have lots of kind of foods than before. Love the new northland veiwing in a foodcourt anyway apart from the crowd people & seaters
R.Our go to for Santa photos. Large shopping centre with acquisitions, lush, the warehouse, large amounts of car parks, noel lemming, farmers and a range of little stores up the centre selling all sorts of things.
M.It's the best mall in christchurch it's got everything I need and new food court looks stunning when I first saw it I thought wow what a great selection of food places the get roasted place has the best roast pork meal in christchurch and it handy for me as I live a 25 minutes bus ride down the road

K.Great place for massage after too much computer work. See the professional, friendly team at Zen. They all seem to have power pressure, but they do check with you and adjust to suit. Handy having both Warehouse and Countdown in the same mall. BB's does nice eggs on toast at a reasonable price. There is a food court with a small children's play area nearby. Lots of different clothing stores, oddly no electronic stores at time of writing this review. There is an EB Games though. There is a Hoyts cinema, but I never go to this one - the music is way too loud. Hoyts at Riccarton is better, except for Extreme screen which is also way too loud for me.

S.The mall has dramatically changed since it was built as the first (?) mall in Christchurch, but covers nearly all bases, plenty of seating and eateries. Rebuilt to quake-safe levels but parking can be really full.
A.We had an enjoyable visit. Plenty of variety to shop at and plenty of car parking. Food court was a highlight and the mall is kept very clean.
P.We were at Look Smart Clothing Repairs again. Top service and excellent workmanship again. Highly recommend to all.

S.This mall is nearby Harewood Road, place where I stay. This mall has food court with Vietnamese food, Indian food, Roast and Sushi. There are shops like cotton on, body shop, bra and things, a dollar shop, pak and save, warehouse.
M.Nice place to waste your time good shops decent food choices and lots of car parking, can get bizzy on cold rainy days, security good and toilets are clean and ready to go, bus station out the front good access all round, tidy n clean place.

B.While visiting the Northland's Mall to get my iPhone going again at our local Vodafone Store I found some good discounted Clothing prices on well known brands at our Local Farmers Store so of course I took advantage and bought a new pair of Levi's jeans and boots at great price , no problems finding car parks either so it makes sense to do most of my shopping at the Northland's Mall in Papanui Christchurch..
D.Not a bad mall with some good major places like Hoyts, Lone star and the warehouse however it really needs some newer fresher retailers and less $2 shops.
