A.Unfortunately South City has lost a lot of its personality in recent years. Alright if you're passing through in town and need to stop at the Warehouse or Chemist Warehouse or grab some food court food but there isn't much else worth stopping in for with town nearby.
K. &. A.Its pretty bare, the best part about it is the $2 shop and the food court, but otherwise not a fun or exciting place to go.
R. H.Cool little mall. St Pierres have good sushi, there is a mac Donalds a new world a warehouse etc etc really busy vibrant fun mall with everything you need. The new world is really a special supermarket.
R. F.The Mall is more interesting since Chemist Warehouse moved in. There is good Sushi, Coffee, The Warehouse & a McDonalds, Book & Stationery shop a good variety in a smaller Mall.
M.Small mall with all the basics and a reasonable eating area. Has indoor playground for kids by Foodcourt.

T.Really like this place. The only $2 shop that is only $2 for everything. Warehouse next door. Food court good. Needs more food choices. Heaps of parking. Warehouse chemist is also great. Staff there are very helpful.

J.Love Barrington Gifts such a pity they are back at Barrington now ,their pop up store was awesome . Robert Harris has scrummy Food esp love their salmon and cream cheese bagels and the Warehouse where everyone gets a bargin is always good value.

s.Little disappointed, needs more shops. Food court is the highlight of this place.
R. S.A good shopping centre with a mix of supermarkets, restaurants and other stores. There is a big parking lot outside the shopping centre. It is at a walkable distance from the Christchurch Bus Interchange.
S.Well presented mall, clean and tidy with a good mixture of stores and take away shops
D. S.The paper plus offers good varieties of books. It's quite surprising actually and it was my third visit searching for good books. Other than that, the food court here is good as well. Not very posh, butt it was decent on a sense you have quite a varieties to choose from. It's not boring.
C. T.It's nice having the store you're likely going into (the warehouse) almost right as you walk in the doors. It's certainly better than wandering a maze mall that many others can have. Mall was also fairly spacious, which is also nice.
w. t.It's still my #1 place for Sushi in the food court. Excellent products, fair prices and well presented. Unfortunately a number of shops have closed down. Subway left and I was told they were coming back, they haven't. That was also a favourite. But the food court still works for me.

S.I've given this 4 stars as I don't shop her often enough. But the times I have Neem here it's been a delight. It's a go to for me and my kids for the $2 dollar store haha. They are awesome in there. Very friendly staff make it a great store to shop. Does have the warehouse and many other stores in this mall. I'll definitely be back to have a decent look around

B.just seems this shopping centre needs a refresh, but then I'm only really going there for really for 1 shop
C. C.Another big mall with all the major retailers. There are a couple of small exclusive shops here but not enough to make a point of difference.
K.Nothing to write home about. Only a couple of good stores there and the red and white signage, reminds me of a gym.
N. B.If you have a child this is really a fantastic place to take them. You can sit at a table right next to the big playground and watch closely over them whilst enjoying your coffee.
A.There is a couple of good shops but the place is slowly dying lots of empty shops.
S. B.As shopping centers go, South City holds its own. It boasts of a lot of shops inside, outside, and around the physical building. The vibes inside the mall is a bit sombre compared to other malls and this needs to be addressed. The food court offers a good range.
S. &. A. W.You get the feeling that this place is closing down. Small shops with limited range of overall goods. A great Warehouse Chemist, and very nice Sushi Time, but other places limited.
a.I was there for mahi, helping people to be vaccinated. I really enjoyed my day, the staff were wonderful.
P. B.We have started visiting this mall more often as it has a chemist warehouse and is close to park n save supermarket.
My son likes the indoor playground and McDonald’s and St Piers Sushi. There is also a warehouse making this a good supply stop.

G. F.Good mall, not as many shops as there used to be and no supermarket, but chemist warehouse is good, the warehouse is always useful, the food court is my favourite part. One of the only places you can still get honey BBQ pork !

S.This is a mall that has everything you are looking for & not just a lot of empty shops like most malls on this side of town. Highly recommend.
V.Love the playground in the middle of the food court. Great selection of shops , a few empty shops and frequent changes in tenants but bargains galore.
A. E.The warehouse is the main attraction. It has a good range of car cleaning products and handyman supplies much cheaper than elseware. For example saved $7.00 on Turtle Wax liquid car polish over normal outlets. Reasonable food court here and a new Discount Pharmacy.

P. Z.There are two stores to go to in this mall - the Warehouse and the Chemist Warehouse, if this is what you're after. Otherwise, it's pretty bad. Seen some groups of people just hanging out and playing board games - better than shopping. In overall, just boring.
C. O.Bargain Warehouse chemist is so good for really resonable chemist products, and such a huge variety of merchandise. Also St Pierre's Sushi is good. I had a really nice yogurt icecream in the food hall.
A. T.To be honest, I just used to go here because of New World..... Now that this has moved a block away, I rarely go here..... Maybe sometimes for lunch, has there is a nice choice of sushi and the Japanese bakery is great. Apart from these ones, without New World, I come here just one in a while.
N. F.Great shopping complex we bought shoes went to the Warehouse and most of all The Chemist Warehouse excellent stock&huge range of pharmaceutical products great buying as they were half the normal retail price!
M. D.This is a spacious mall with a number of food outlets, a large new world and some other shops. There is a small kids play area in the centre with tables around that you can eat food from any of the food vendors. The fried chicken is particularly good.

M.This mall is a stain on the City Centre of Christchurch. Range of stores is sub-par. The Warehouse & The Chemist Warehouse have sore shoulders from carrying this place. Toilet facilites that I have used on a few occasions have been good in comparison to other shopping centres.
S. R.I go there for coffee and a bite to eat when driving the health shuttle with people from Timaru Ashburton Temuka and Geraldine. Great staff at the Muffin Break very friendly.

G. D.Warehouse is handy and a few other shops but there are so many empty shops. NW is no longer there. Its not a place you just go randomly and shop around. You go for something specific from one of the few shops left.

m. s.It's nice small shopping centre. It has the wherehouse, clothing stores, a pharmacy, paper plus's, a gaming store, a shoe store, a health supplement store, a discount store a food court, and other local store's. Unfortunately the New World store has closed as well as the jewellery store. So don't bother stopping here if you're shopping for groceries or jewellery.

J. H.Decent shopping centre in the heart of town. Even with new world moving across the road this shipping centre makes it easy to pop in and get a few things on my lunch break. Some good show stores as well as a decent food court.
V. D.South city is a handy wee mall in the middle in town, plenty of food selection and stores to keep you busy for a little bit. Good having the warehouse as well. The only downside is it can be very hard to find a park at times.

T.Great 1stop shop for all your everyday needs, supermarket with awesome staff a pharmacy, hairdresser food, if you want it, this is the place to "come and get it"! Great onsite parking or use a taxi to get yourself back to where you're staying. Good prices too, what more could we ask. :)
D. W.My local hangout. Food court great, frequently used are Chinese Wok and Sushitime, both with awesome staff.
BTW... chess is played often there, in the center court, primarily on Saturday & Sunday afternoons. Thank you South City Management. Recently had my first fruit juice, Frozen Yoghurt shop, now I frequent same in centre. Friendly manager in business there for now calendar year. Worth a try, but be warned Addictive! Fruit salad array, 'smoothies' yoghurt ice creams...
Would love to do my Simultaneous chess display there again, as I did prior our earthquakes. I've offered it to them for free.
A. S.At the cantre of the canterbury CBD, close to pak n save, new world, and countdown! There is a foodcourt inside with various type of food and some cafes. Insede the shopping centere you can find warehouse and chemist watehouse. 😁 But unfortunetly the place is quite old 🙂
T. U.I love some of the stores and eateries in this place. Best sushi ever! Mall is nice and small with a nice indoor playground for the kids. A great stop off on the way home.

P. R.City Centre shopping - usually here for a haircut, food court or the warehouse but there are always those other handy shops there. Sushi time is great sushi - usually with a queue. Now the toilets are updated hopefully it will keep its 5 stars. It would have otherwise been 4 or less as they used to always smell bad

j.This is another one of our smaller malls , not far from our city centre. This mall suites all ages they have a large food court centered in the middle and for the healthy eaters they have a wide rang of foods to drinks .For myself my favorite shop would have to be wendys they have a large range of ice creams and they all have hot dogs and milkshakes.Hope u have fun visting some of our smaller malls around Ch.CH

B. M.It's a rotting husk of what it used to be. It's definitely still a "mall", but in all honesty you can get a much better shopping experience going literally anywhere else.
L.Anchor tenant pharmacy is a sensory assault and doesn't take safety seriously. The Warehouse team are friendly. Seems like many of the other tenant businesses are closing down.

T. J.Just incredible shop is amazing for dress ups and Xmas decorations at the moment, The Wharehouse is large, but food court is too small and the eftpos machines were both out of order not good for Xmas time.

A.Close to the bus interchange, the location of South City mall is quite convenient.
The ambience is about what you would expect for shopping malls in New Zealand.
The mall has: the warehouse, warehouse stationery and harvey norman nearby, which other malls in the city do not have.
C.Good shopping mall to grab a quick snack and to browse the shops. Not the biggest range of shops but you should be able to get most of the essentials.
E. R. v. d. S.Nice shopping center, not to big but still spacious. From coffee, snacks, getting groceries, books or buying a good pair of shoes, this is a nice place to go.
S.I love south city! Smaller mall with awesome food court and the best kids playground. I'm more likely to frequent here more often than the bigger malls
O. G.Lots of parking. The indoor playground at the food court makes for a handy place to go with kids on a wet day if you also need to do some shopping.

P. Y.It's not that big of a shopping mall, it's a bit bigger than Johnsonvilles shopping mall in Wellington. Has some shops and a food court, but they didn't offer Air Conditioning on that hot day in Christchurch.
N.While South City is a bit on the small side for a mall it has the Warehouse, bookshops, shoes, travel agent, pharmacy and all sorts of other places. It should have a dry cleaners.

R.As my stars say 'its okey place for hang out'. I prefer Riccarton mall to scc. I got warn people wearing pointed heels/non-grip shoes to be careful while walking in this mall. The floor is extra smooth, I have seen people falling down. careful 1

A. L.Prefer this mall to any other. The warehouse is great, food court has good selection and always easy to find a parking spot.
F.It had a huge Warehouse and a few fast food eateries... the place lost a lot when the New World supermarket moved to another site and the retail outlets are lacklustre...

S.The classic Christchurch mall. Kind of quirky but I often find myself back here for odds and sorts in the city.
T.Nice little mall, good shops and a great giant car-park area (free!). Has a New World Supermaket attached, The Warehouse and various other shops.
S.Heaps of parking, has a food court, The Warehouse, and close to the central city. I do miss having New World in there as well though!
S.Quite a small mall, lacking some of the big shops. Still a good place to grab food and browse but lacks the same vibe as the other malls.
L.What a great place to shop. The food stalls were bright and clean. We will go back and enjoy again.

S.Small shopping mall. Good if you're in town & needing to visit one of the shops, but not a destination I'd recommend. Food court has about as much store front as the rest of the mall combined.

N.Quite small but it has pretty much everything you need. Tea shop, Japanese bakery, book shop, warehouse, food court, pharmacy, 2 dollar shop, hairdresser.....!

L.Its not bad, but the larger malls really put it to shame especially with the facilities. The children's change room is HORRIBLE and I cringe when I need to take my kids to it

J.Small mall, good parking. I like the frozen yoghurt place. The supermarket and Waterhouse are small. It’s a convenient location.
B.Not the best mall in Christchurch but the sushi there is very nice. It is kind of old and is not usually crowded.
z.A small mall with a few shops, has a good sized food court for being a small mall. Often pretty busy being in town. Not the nicest looking mall, looks a bit run down

S.If you come here around 4 to 4: 30 the food court food goes about half price. Great for a cheap meal!
