Riccarton Mall offers something for everyone. A great selection of stores catering for all needs. The mall even has a birthday club for small children which is really thoughtful. Just see the friendly team at the kiosk under the escalator on the ground floor by the food court.

Decent. It is really massive! Lots and lots of shops. Two food courts (one big, one small). A great place to spend a couple of hours. Lots of seating places. Car park is good how it’s free for customers. A real g of riccaton.

The bacon smell in the middle of the mall on the ground floor is absolutely revolting. They need to do something about that. Apart from that it’s pretty much any other mall.

Parking is a nightmare on a rainy day but the Mall is the best in Chc with large mix of stores. KMart is open to midnight which can be incredibly helpful and Louvisa jewelry store now has a huge choice of body piercing which is fantastic if you are looking for top quality nose piercing (I have searched all of chch), albeit the staff at Louvisa are young and not very helpful but once in there you can look for hours.

This mall reminds me of the Ayala Cebu Mall, makes me less homesick everytime i step my foot here. Foodcourt, shops, and a lot more are just very accessible. Though pak n save smells a bit 😆

Great mall with many shops and cafes. It has a supermarket (Pack n Save) and Japanese Mart store for your groceries. You can hire mobility scooter, wheelchair, kiddie kruzzer or stroller. Mall has very large car park in ground first and second level. Open or covered. You can connect to a free wifi. Variety of cafes and food court will ensure nice and relaxed break from strolling through the mall. It has cinema Hoyts complex major stores such as Kmart, Farmers, H&M, Rebel. You will find information about mall through the mall. You can do your banking as well in Westpac, ASB, and BNZ. The whole mall is clean even toilets. Recommended to everyone who wants to spend some time window browsing or shopping.

It's always great going to Riccarton Mall, as there are so many stores to explore. One of the top christchurch malls, tied with Northlands Mall in my opinion.

Shopping mall is good for everyone but also great for parents with little ones, two mini indoor play area(one on the ground floor & another one 1st floor) for children under 5. Plenty of washrooms and more than 3 parents rooms. It’s so convenient for nappy changes and most parent’s room provides microwave to heat up food / milk for the kids.

This is a well-designed shopping mall having a large car park. I was told this is South Island's largest shopping mall. I had been here quite a few times and the experience was great every single time. The mall has got everything from supermarkets to restaurants to souvenir stores to money changers to movie theaters. I took assistance from the help desk a couple of times and they were very helpful. The supermarkets in this mall are open till 11 PM and on Thursdays, the stores remain open a little later than usual.

By far the best mall in Christchurch and possibly NZ(at least for us)! Almost never had a bad experience here(can't say that about some of the other malls across NZ) nor witnessed any outrageously badly behaved staff or customers. The layout is increasingly better and given the range of shops one is bound to find what they are looking for with ease. Given the size of the mall the parking is quite adequate but it is a lottery given the time of the day and hour sometimes! The food court needs to have more options both upstairs and downstairs. The late night shopping options on Thursdays and Fridays is a great option!

I find most people in the CHRISTCHURCH service industry flat, lifeless and on the whole pretty rude. No difference here. At the end of the night on my way out, I spied a Westpac smart atm. I sat opposite to check on my phone whether Westfield's had an ANZ smart atm on site. I noticed movement and looked up to see a chap, who with or without a mask on, I could tell was not smiling, proceeded to inform me in a monotone voice that they were locking the doors. That was it. Now I have lowered my expectations of people since being in Christchurch, but come on, if you don't like people, then any job that means interaction with people is probably not a good fit for you. If you can't communicate with others in at least a, using our so-called great leaders famous word, 'kind' or at the very least, 'engaging' way, then try the IT job section.

Just went to McDonald's for a drink I had a hot chocolate and the misses had chi latte and I had a slice of toasted banana bread and the misses had a blueberry muffins and both of us were happy with what we got,But I got the better stuff, I must say to the lady at the counter You done a great job not only with our service but trying to keep the noise and bad language down( That was because school had just got out) and of course go to McDonald's But that doesn't bother me to much because I was young ounce and I'm pretty sure I wasn't perfect or quiet, Anyway we were very happy with what we got and will certainly go back.

Migrated to Christchurch recently and this place is a must go for everyone living around the University and beyond. With a good food court, movie screens, cafeterias, supermarkets and brand outlets Westfield has a > 2 level car parking for everyone. This place gets lonely after 8-9pm. Pak n save and Kmart will be open till 11pm

Some better left/right flow would be great people just bunch together amd my daughter mentioned the food court was in a terrible way rsther disappoitning going to sit down and eat your food and tsbles are filthy and food strewn on the floor. 😳 May pay to check there is enough staff at the right hours for rhe food court.

Probably the best mall in Christchurch, but it gets three stars because, like every other mall, it wholeheartedly embraces a consumeristic view of human beings. Ok, I get that that is the whole point of malls, but there are other ways of doing them and we need to be more imaginative going forward of how we make malls. I guess it starts with being more imaginitive about how they are designed to engage with people. Are we designing them to entice people to buy more things when they come for only one thing? Can they be designed so that people's humanity is affirmed instead of advertisements constantly reminding you that you don't measure up without the latest stuff?

I can’t give this place under 4 stars. Now, this is one of my favourite malls in Chch. With a lot of food courts including blue Jamaica, muffin break, KFC, And even McDonald’s! It has plenty of shops to go like Kmart, JB-HIFI, EB Games, Noel leeming, and Nike etc. Friendly staff at the information desk, parking lot is superb, location is great, plenty of shops to check out. Dress up for this one, shoppers, it's Chch's biggest mall and the regulars actually treat it like a fashion center. Which is weird because it's just the riccarton mall. Sure, it has a few fancy shops now, but it's also got kmart and paknsave. And a sprawling footprint, two stories of shops and three levels of car parks. You will get lost.

This is a big mall with lots of shops, all the major chain shops are represented here, plus many others. There is lots of parking and there are plenty of clean and user friendly facilities in the mall. This is a very busy, popular place. Caters for all your shopping needs under one roof. Had a good vibe. It has a big foodcourt as well if you are looking for a bite to eat while you are shopping. Good place to get your shopping done.

Hi, I came here on Sunday at 9.10. Sitting in the food court where KFC is. I find sitting area is bit dirty. Some seats still have food crumbs on them (no one has sit on it). It wasn't many people at the time. Mall is good with variety of shops.

Had a little problem not a fuss, but in the food court of the mall theres a mc Donald's but out in the carpark there is also a mc Donald's that ones open diffrent times of the mall + drive thru so no real problem. Would definitely come back though

My review was incomplete. I wanted to say that overall all other areas of shopping are fairly good. But there is a sad lack of choice for mens shoes. Overland use to sell really high quaility shoes from Italy, England, and other European manufacturers. The was the lure for me, and instead the bulk of their products are made in China. But they still charge $250.+ Yes, they do have shoes from Portugal, but the Chinese shoes were overpiced and of poor finish. In my humble opinion.

Everything you need in just one place! They have a wide range of stores. Ranging from general food stores all the way to technology heavens. If you are looking for something there is probably a store in westfield which has what you need. Can get busy during midday and onwards. But generally easy to travel around even when busy.

It has pretty much all the shops you could possibly need, and it's quite well laid out. Parking could be better, because it's common to spend 15 minutes circling the car park like a buzzard, waiting for the wildebeest to die...

This place is huge and there are too many choices to shop to go into every one of them. It's a eclectic place where everyone comes to from Christchurch. Expect problems parking during peak hours. Allocate at least 2 hours if you come here for the best experience and that reflects the optimal free parking time. NB it's wheelchair friendly as well and personally I'll shop in such places. I don't need help but I like how those who can or who are elderly can shop relatively easily at any Westfield.

A massive shopping centre where we went looking for stuff for our new home. Huge place, but we managed to get most of what we were after. Had a nice lunch. I had a panini with fries and Jocelyn had sushi. Both meals were delightful and her sushi was very fresh. Lovely store staff at both of the food court cafes.

Honestly I don’t really enjoy malls, but on the odd chance I absolutely need to get something from Westfield I walk as fast as I can right through the food court which sort of congests the main thoroughfare. Lots of shops and your usual kmart and farmers mega stores. Most things you are looking for to buy, are probably in Westfield.

Free wifi ✅ ASB, BNZ, & Westpac banks as well as currency exchange (Travelex) Farmers & Pak n Save are there too and a movie theatre upstairs. Facilities are always super clean and a great selection of shops too. 2 foodcourts, 1 upstairs that is usually a bit quieter than the downstairs one and a different selection of food. Riccarton is one of the bigger malls but can get really busy during lunch times and over the weekends so parking can be a real hassle over these times.

A big shopping centre compared to where we live. Great range of shops to choose from. The information centre was absolutely amazing in organising a wheelchair for my wife to allow us to have a wander round the shops after her surgery. Big thanks to the centre management team.

They have a lot of parking so you should always be able to find one. The mall is very modern. You will enjoy your time here.

First of all I got told off for taking pictures in it (and almost kicked out, but we managed to stay) then we visited some shops, if I’m honest we spent about an hour in Kmart and that was majority of our visit but there are some cute clothing shops (glassons, cotton on) there too.

Okay for a mall. Parking is like trying to get a square peg into a round hole, customers are impatient and uncaring. Westfield has all your shopping needs, just a shame about the clientele

This is my favourite mall in Christchurch. It's also the biggest and busiest in the city. I enjoy exploring the shops here and bargain hunting for goodies. Food Court is fantastic with lots of selections to choose from. Vibrant vibes, clean and tidy with wheelchair access. The ongoing roadworks is a turn off though.

The food courts are closed after 6pm. That I felt uncomfortable around. If you visit there after 6pm, u have to outsource for your snack or dinner. Everything else is fine. U have got a pak'nsave, Kmart etc. It is a one roof solution to cater all your shopping needs. If there had been a warehouse there, that would have been perfect. Restrooms are clean enough you would not feel disgusting. On the top floor there is a coffee shop as well besides the food court in the ground floor.

This mall is large enough to satisfy whatever retail desires you might have. The majority of trips I’ve made there have been to go to Kmart and PakNSave but there’s tons of fashion retail as well of course. It’s a pretty “nice looking” mall and parking is usually easy. The food court is pretty uninspiring. It’s often too busy for my liking so I tend to avoid it unless I actually need something. If you’re in need of something or just feel like being a mall rat, or like busy malls, this is a good spot for you!

So this is a good mall, it has lots of good shops and a food court as well as grocery stores. I recommend visiting here especially if you need clothing. there is a large range of clothing stores, but with more and more shops opening in the central city its just as easy to go into town and avoid the hassle and over crowding of the mall on a weekend.

I suggest to all shoppers at Riccarton , and you should warn shoppers that the Parking inspectors are absolutely ruthless , Christmas shopping is difficult already , but you get fined for going over the stated parking time , and only minutes i might add , while shopping in the mall is ridiculous if this is double dipping by Westfeild and the Bad company called Wilson's Parking. Shop elsewhere

Great place to spend a few hours shopping. Variety of stores, a lot of food options, a great movie theater, and easy parking. It's in a great location which provides access to a lot of stores nearby the mall if you want to stay out longer. Some of the limits on how long you can park your car can be difficult if you plan on watching a movie and having dinner. It's a great place to go for shopping or just to walk around to get out on a day with poor weather.

I think the mall is clean, enough parking space and have the stores that can satisfy my daily need. But it doesn't have the stores I would want to spend my leisure time, even though it is just my personal preference.

Good Mall!! However, it closes way too early... Beside Thursday and Friday, but every other day they close at 6pm... People go off work usually at 5pm, and they close at 6pm... Gosh, it is so frustrating... And they loose a lot of clients being closed that early..... Also, stores are overall quite small for being in the main mall in the city, and often have overpriced items.

Its OK, but like most malls there are mostly chain shops that you find everywhere. The good news is outside the mall in Rotherham St and surrounding area, you can find some nice restaurants and if you even venture down Riccarton Rd, a small brewery.

Loved every single minute of this place. So the wife says, 'Lets go to the mall for a gander' I said 'do I have a choice?' she said 'what do you think?' I said 'let me get some comfortable shoes on' So I throw on my Adidas Ultraboost shoes cos they have the boost soles made from foam which is like, and this is on my mama! Like walking on clouds!! So we strolling and I'm looking dapper with my black on black Ultraboosts on. We're about a hour half in and we hit all the spots my girl wants to look at, I'm feeling fresh like I could do this all day cos my feet be snug. Ol' pal in the shop with his girl looking like he just did a marathon, sweating like pig, I look down at his feet he rocking the J's (fresh pair of 5's no doubt!) And I'm like that's yo problem, you ain't got the Ultraboosts equipped, them feet be taking a beating! J's are for showing out not for mall stomps my guy! Just popped into Pak n save, found a car park easily, and managed to exit without too much of a wait. Friendly faces amongst various staff and customers. Although I'm not a great fan of Malls, I'm becoming more inclined to shop and spend time relaxing there.

Great shops, great food court, aswell as food options available upstairs, quite alot of parking all around, including multi level, BUT the roads around the mall are shocking which makes it hard to get to and from. Only one pedestrian crossing on the street that splits the mall in two, so good luck trying to cross everywhere else. Other mall are controlled with lights, but this one isn't except on Riccarton Rd, which makes it annoying. Besides the lack of controlled crossings etc, it is a pretty great mall with everything you need.

What an absolutely fantastic mall. Kmart, Pak N' Save, JB HiFi, EB Games, Timezone, Hoyts, Briscoes, and so many others I don't have room to mention here. They have an expansive food court, excellent staff and plenty of parking. Very easy to find stores, only problem is that it's always busy. But I guess that comes with being the most popular shopping destination in Christchurch. A must-visit for anyone living or visiting around Riccarton. Well done Wesfield.

Very busy here. There is a good selection of retail shops, supermarket, banks and a Hoyts cinema. The food court on the ground floor is always busy and very noisy. There is a smaller upper level near the cinema that is a lot quieter and has a great selection of food. In the evenings they close of most of it off so if you want to get food shopping after the cinema you need to go outside and walk round to the other end of the mall and go back inside.

Reasonable range for food options but again, upper level has a much better environment for this. Toilet facilities are in dire need of revamping and in constant need of basic cleaning.

Great mall with good stores and good sales. However it does get extremely busy, making it ridiculously hard to find a table to eat at or an empty bathroom stall. It can also be very difficult to navigate the store on rainy days. Week days are the best time to go, especially on school days, on which it is mildly busy and generally relaxing. Another note, the Westfield staff and cleaning ladies are very friendly and make for a lovely conversation! Kudos to them for their hard work and positive attitude.😊

Also orientation isn't that easy. Wee maps would help and to find a help desk is also a mission cause it is hiding underneath stairs.

Most things you need are there. It's a well presented Mall with extensive car parking. The Mall can get very busy at times so some patience is required. A good food court with a Pak N Sav supermarket means you can stay for a good amount of time while getting your groceries. The Mall is very clean and very tidy. Very handy to Riccarton and the buses it makes it a good option for getting most things you would need home easily.

Love this mall . Is always my go to stop with plenty to eat see and do. For me what's missing is an area to store luggage and your shopping while you shop. Even if it's a paid service it's rather disappointing to have to lug all your luggage around while you shop. It has been disappointing that there is zero facilities for sitting in the section of the mall between the rebel sport end and food court on ground floor. There were a few chairs/ sofas earlier. But, the mall admin has expanded more shops at the cost of visiting customers. Yesterday, with a pram and shopping items in tow, I found particularly difficult and found it challenging when I needed somewhere to sit down for 5min. No choice but the food court chairs. Old visitors would also find it difficult if there is no place to relax for a few minutes. Shame on you Riccarton Mall!

Some of the staff from the higher-end men's clothing places seems a bit snobbish, not greeting customers, and chatting amongst themselves. It does get very busy over weekends and school holidays.

Went on Wed 27/5, and when we first arrived there wasn't too many people, though there was no social distancing being enforced. Once the schools were released, the mall filled with 100's of children which continued to walk 4 and 6 abreast, thus reducing any possibility for social distancing. Management and Security didn't do anything about it, so we promptly left, and will not be returning until the mall follows the correct Government Covid-19 protocols.

Has a lot of good shops and it's somewhere you could easily lose track of time. There is ample parking but the car parks can get a bit hectic at times so I park on the surrounding streets.

One stop shop for everything. All stores are located in this mall or right outside the mall. A bit crowded though on Thursday evenings and weekends. If you can dodge the rush times it a great place to shop.

As far as mall shopping experiences go this is rather standard fear. The normal array of chain stores with a well-equipped food court. The one problem with this mall is the parking. The buildings are hard to navigate and with tight corners, extremely busy. It would be hard to redesign at this stage however I'm sure with parking wardens at busy times this could be better managed.

I think it's the largest mall in Christchurch with three levels of parking adjoined. Reasonably good selection of shops so you'll find what you need. A bit of a tight squeeze if it's busy and finding a carpark (and access to therein) can be timely. Featuring a cinema and elevated bridge to more shops and in the middle of the Riccarton strip mall you'll very likely find what you're looking for here.

Well I would say Westfield mall is the heart of the City. It got everything from brands, spa, beauty salons, food court, restaurant, movie theatre, foreign exchange, supermarket, electronics chain, etc.. . It has all the essential shops one needs in an Mall, also it's clean, well maintained and got ample parking.

Besides those, there are very cool areas for kids to play while their parents are doing some shopping, and a restaurant section with all kinds of foods. There is a cinema, Hoyts, in the mall as well. A great destination for an exciting and relaxing weekend trip for families and younglings alike.

Thanks for your cleaning service. You got my place sparkly for my open home when I was selling which made such a difference especially in the bathroom and kitchen. Then later, after I had sold my place and moved out, Sid came back again to do a general clean, but also he cleaned the walls which were pretty grubby. Looks fab now. New owners will be happy. Plus the friendly service - and trustworthy - I just left Sid to it, knowing he was going to do whatever was needed. Will definitely use ChCh Cleaning Service again.

Great mall. Parking can take a while in peak times so can getting a table in the food court or near the paknsave end eating places! and the streets are super narrow and difficult around the mall. Other than that the shops are good and the mall is tidy the bathrroms/toilets are usually very clean and modern. The layout of shops and areas can be confusing but its the biggest mall in christchurch with the most shops so overall a great place to shop!

The complete all in one mall. Great place to do you're shopping. It got clothing merchandise, grocery store, electronics, saloons, money exchange, dollar shops, food court, Kmart, hoyts movie theater. Lot of parking place, but does get really busy and crowded in weekends. The store closes at 6pm, but Kmart, pak n save and hoyts are opened till late night.

Recently got a ticket for parking my car over the time limit, was very unhappy as I work in one of the shops in Mall and it was really a busy day and had no time to move the car. Parking time restriction should be an exception for the staff in the mall or should be waived off for the whole staff in case they have been issued a ticket. I worked for 4 hrs and lost whatever i earned as i now need to pay my parking ticket.

It's a big Westfield mall just like the others. I don't know what more you could say about it. If you don't like big crowds don't shop Friday nights or at the weekend although there is plenty of parking even at the busiest times.

The shops are too pricey except for Kmart and Pak n Save. Even then, the selection is not that great. Many a times have roamed around in Westfield to shop and ended up buying nothing, as nothing was able to catch my eye. The good thing about Westfield is the food court. But I have never been able to understand why most part of the Westfield need to be closed by 6pm, denying access to even basic facilities like toilets, when the whole shopping center has not yet been closed. Why don't shops stay open a bit longer until 8 or 9, at least on weekends? If few shops can remain open till late night, why can't the others remain open until night, at the very least?

For the most part it is a great place to shop...but at.night time they block off the walkway in the shopping center so you can not get back to your original parking...so when u shop at the still opened stores you have go out the mall to get.to your parking which could be on the other side of the shopping center

Probably the best mall in Christchurch since there are so many cultural attractions. If you want to eat a interesting food or just plain fast food this mall has it all. The flow of foot traffic is not to overwhelming since the mall is a straight line. The parking is excellent and you will never have to park to far from the shop you need. There is a good mix of clothing and normal retail. Basicly everything you need in a small compact place. Most buses come though Riccarton so it easy to access the place to.
