S.The Octagon in Dunedin, New Zealand

The Octagon is the CBD of Dunedin, and has cafes, restaurants and shops. It is an eight-sided plaza with a circular one-way carriageway.
During the cruise ship season, which is between Octabber and May, the Octagon Art & Craft Market is held here. It may not be exactly a shopper's paradise, but does provide access to a large variety of originally designed and produced products from local Dunedin.
R.A good spot to relax and a great place to check out all the cafes, shops and restaurants nearby. Also markets are offered once in a while although not sure on what timespan. It is well-maintained and offers some spots for sitting. Overall friendly place to be staying and get away from the hectic city.
M.Best area in Dunedin city centre. Great selection of food, drinks, shopping on George st. Walking distance to Dunedin Railway station, Cathedral etc.
T.They should add a rain cover on the other side I always get caught out in the rain some cool bars I guess with a nice church
W.100% early settlers NZ. A huge peice of European origin here. A must see. Lovely.

C.I understand this area would usually be humming with tourists from cruise ships,so quite quiet.Very pleasant walking around being a tourist in my own country.
