M.Nice place to wander and stop for a beer. We were accosted by 2 bums who came up to our table outside and got aggressive. My husband had to protect and defend our safety. I advise you sit inside to avoid trouble and the beggars bumming every smoke off you. Not nice ☠

L.I love Cuba Mall with the vibrant people and wonderful shops and cafes. Plenty of variety in both, somewhere to get lost in for a few hours, or more.
F.Go there when Cubadupa is on, the atmosphere is great. Not to mention all the unique stores in the mall. Slow boat records is a must.

M.Your verdict of CM will depend on the colour of your lenses, is this the quirky arty, "character" zone of Wellington city or a dirty, run-down, overrated mall? CM's history will show this as a place where individual differences in self-expression were tolerated, even encouraged as artistic or other endeavours, be it music, drama, etc. Find buskers, performers, protestors and other colourful people in this interesting part of Wellington who imbue our city with Soul (btw celloists are as rare as hen's teeth in CM so a big applause for these brave buskers). There are also neat little parks and green spaces around CM if you seek a quiet spot to relax or lunch in and no shortage of eateries and bars along the "Mall Mile" stretch.

N.Not a huge choice of shops but the street shouts Wellington! Plenty of other stores on nearby Lambton
