Improving every week as the rebuild and extension nears completion. My only complaint here is that the carpark attendants during the work over the last two years and still today have absolutely no idea of traffic flow and control most probably don't own a vehicle or even have a license. 9 out of 10 can't even identify an empty parking space while standing in one. They should have been fired and some group like grey power would have done a far better job with better outcomes for business owners in the complex. Businesses rely on customers in their stores not being hearded away while parking spaces remain available. If I was a shop owner I most certainly would be asking for rent reduction based on number of empty parks when traffic control is claiming parking is full. If you get in the shopping is good. 👍

Vast array of shopping stores on site. Farmers, Warehouse, H & M, Hallensteins, Travel Agents, Jewelers, etc. Foodcourt available, within main entrance. Plenty of car parking, since reintroducing newly rebuilt Cinema, due to open soon.

Had a very pleasant couple of hours choosing shoes in shoe connection.Given that my feet are not easy to find the right shoes,the customer service was wonderful. I was served with patience,efficiency,kindness and great product knowledge.Had a coffee and snack at Sienna,again great customer service,definately go back to those shops but always have good customer service at Westfield,thankyou

The one true Hutt Valley mall. All other malls are fake and bad. This one's quite nice. It has a Warehouse and everything! Has actual plants in the gardens which you don't see a lot of these days. 4.9 stars, 0.1 stars taken off because there are parking ushers.

Wonderful mall with so many great shops. Clean, tidy, easy to get around and lots of food places too.

So many previous shops closed off and the mall was dead quick and no life to it

Pretty good excercise, especially when you forget your wallet in the car and you have to weave your way back through all the slow nana's and pram pushers. Can never find any gates owned by the Queen though, maybe she sold them all on Hustle Live or something. My mate reckons she's his aunty so I'll just get him to message her about it. Reminds me of those kids from school like "yeah bro Jonah Lomu's my Uncle" like aw shutup ow you brought your lunch to school in a bread bag oi. 9/10 but only because sometimes the escalators stop working, like I don't have to do enough walking already.

It's OK if you like browsing and shopping. I however, hate going there when you simply need one thing but you have to walk through the entire mall to get it.

Parking is terrible - seems like there's only one way in or out. Mall itself is good - starting to feel a bit dated perhaps but their stores are all full.

I loved shopping there as there is so much shops to see and visit good for shopping and Takeaway food the food was fantastic we had Chinese food and roast meals they dont have anything like this in Napier

A lot of stragglers entering mall after anti vax protest. Not as many bargains as expected in shops nice decorations. Plenty of parking upstairs.

Cleaners at this place are awesome. Always see them about doing an excellent job! Good selection of shops too

Great lay out. Easy to follow directions. Find all shop staff and customer service staff very good.

Great Western Chinese takeaway type food, cheap and cheerful if hungry friendly service and good selection of vegetables and meats including fish bites

Enjoyed shopping there great amount of shopping areas to shop at. you go up escalators down, and around lol all different food bays, clothes stores, even $2 shops, was amazing an enjoyable place to shop. Meet amazing people their too.

Good shops just hard to find parking

Good variety of shops, however places to sit down and eat weren't clean so people stood and ate meals. I didn't see any cleaners the whole time we were eating lunch. Recommend for shopping only.

Always love queensgate, alot of hustle and bustle around peak shopping times, especially Christmas, but it's always great with plenty of stores available

I love its open concept when I have a cup of coffee in Hudsons.

Great mall but bit of a nightmare trying to get into the place if you have a car. Plenty of parks once we eventually got in there

Queensgate has everything you need if your looking to shop. The food court has some good foods but some food stores lack flavour

Enjoyed the afternoon shopping here with family. Food court was amazing, options for everyone!

Has many shops but you have to wear a mask to enter which makes it very safe.

The Kyoto food stall is a must have meal when visiting this mall! The ramen and steamed buns.....YUM!

When I walked in I was instantly greeted by staff, very knowledgeable. Jerry (sorry if I got your name wrong) treated me very well. He was very enthusiastic and nice. Would definitely recommend shopping here!

Great place to see rich parents buy their spoilt kids clothes that cost 5 times more for the same clothes but with a meaningless label.

Sad to see that although most places were open and staffed well, hardly any customers 😢

It's a classic shopping mall. Clean and tidy, they have a surprisingly good parents room upstairs, it's calming and easy to feed and change the little people. Heaps of parking and a fast lift. I always see staff, cleaners and security, seems a well run mall. Highly recommend St Pierre's for sushi

Easy to find parking went to specsavers in the Queensgate Mall. Beautiful Friendly staff talked to lauran one of the managers. Brought 2pairs of prescription glasses. Cost me $700 got them for half price. Thanks specsavers Lower Hutt.

What a beautiful shopping centre it is big and well laid out and lots of parking. Park on the upper levels to many poople want too park down stairs.

Much improved shops however on a fine day this place gets chaotic busy. It can be very frustrating & dangerous for shoppers & motorists so I avoid going here unless I have to. 4*

Great variety of stores to shop at all under one roof

Relaxed atmosphere, clean and tidy. Neat mall...everything you need under 1 roof. Looking forward to when the Cinemas re-opening as well. Still a cool lil mall. But some eateries in the food court has gone so looks a bit empty hopefully there be some fresh new ones there soon. 🙂🙂🙂

My favourite shopping centre for gaming supplies and clothing

A big food court, all the big brands, and kids play areas, what more does one need!? This place is awesome for shopping, eating out and much more.

Its an alright mall, i like the shopping options. Just dont like the food places here. The only place i like going to eat is zampelles as its fresh. Went to the asain restaurant upstairs and i got sick. Definitely need to bring back a mc Donalds or burger king! Just a classic favourite for most families lol. Always clean and tidy. Even on busy days we find parks easily. Also hope they bring back the movie theatre and time out lol.

Lots of great options in stores including ones you can't find in Wellington CBD. The only bad thing is the lack of parking post earthquake. You can usually find one after about 10 mins or so during busy periods though.

Ok still don't feel safe in there though. Go in do what I have to & then out

Had lunch there. A Filipino restaurant in the food court serves a dish called "Buddha's bowl'. Not bad, if you want to try something different...

Understandably a bit closed off during lock down. But when up and running offers a good variety of options

Lots of different shops so great for comparing prices, got what we wanted at a very good price, was busy but got a car park straight away as some one just pulled out as I arrived. All looks well maintained and clean.

Average, I use a walking frame so avoid warehouse as uphill from only elevator. Escalator only

Fun mall, beautifully decorated, and good service

I enjoy the food court, really nice and healthy food there. Staff is friendly enough, countdown is convenient. Other stores you maybe interested in are there like Vodafone, telecom and clothing stores. Also seatings available if you need to rest from shopping, Enjoy

Linear shopping mall with wide cross-section of stores including The Warehouse, JB Hi-fi, Farmers, heaps of clothes shops, a dining section with various different kinds of fast food offerings and some beauty salons. It's right on the local bus network hub, has a large car park and not far from the train station. Sadly the cinema is closed...

It's alright. Not huge as I heard, but above average as size for New Zealand standards for shopping malls. Recommended

Good parking, variety of shops

It's not bad if you need shops like Farmers, Warehouse, Max, jb hifi Countdown all in one place, and want to grab a quick coffee or something at the food court. As malls go, definitely one of the better ones. If it rains, you stay dry! Big advantage. Big disadvantage, since the earthquake rebuild the carpark is rubbish. You can get stuck in car park traffic chaos for ages. Go during quiet times or better still park outside of the mall and walk, there are some good shops outside too!

This mall is in the CBD. Free parking and offers a very large selection of shops and outlets such as a food hall, book shops, fashion stores, supermarkets and more. A good place to get all your shopping done.

It's a good mall with a great variety of shops and eateries, but the fact that the centre information is on the first floor and not the ground floor has always bothered me. And there are no mall maps around when you need them.

It has a wide variety of shops and the food court is very diverse and different. The reason why I put 4 stars is because I think they could have better kids clothes in all of the clothes

Great little mall in Lower Hutt, which has most of what you need. Parking can be a problem if you late, as it can get pretty full. Beware there is no toy store for kids. Other than that a decent size small mall. Don't expect to much here.

Constantly developing with regards to the stores tailored to suit today's societal needs. Nicely maintained and handy parking spaces enough to accomodate half the population of Wellington 👀😂

once inside your spoiled for choices and super sales! I was able to get all I wanted and needed and for amazing prices. after shopping we sat down for lunch and all 4 of us were able to get what we wanted which was different for 3 of us! the only downside and to be honest I was very `disturbed about the best way the parking assistance was very rude and using language that should never be heard, especially from someone who is dealing with customers! if we were coming in and not leaving we would've made a formal complaint. I wouldn't be surprised if someone else did.

Wide range of stores and options with fantastic coffee shops and food options too. Great for a quick shop or a day trip. Situated 5 mins walk from a playground for over excited kids to burn off some energy.

Very clean and tidy, well managed. Every time I go here there is a new shop/something different. It's quite hot and stuffy inside though, and the bathroom taps dispense only hot water which is annoying.

Great black Friday night. Boys loved the spin.

Get there early in the morning to beat the public rush hour traffic to get a parking space and shop without many people and good customer services and finance avaliable as well as zip and afterpay for your convenience.

Packed with shoppers! Car park spaces were scarce. Safety posts lined up to make people aware of traffic danger, but funnily I walked right over the one in the photo... passed between my legs... Hand Sanitiser and QRCode posters visible. Toilets were clean even though there was a queue of women waiting. I tried three kiosks for a new phone screen protector but no-one sold them. Window shopping was awesome. Some lovely creative displays around the mall.

A lot have changed since 1989 was my last time I was there when I use to work in the bunny street and this place was the shop to be. Now it so big I got lost. The parking attendants in the car Park was great directing car's on such a busy Saturday morning.well done. So many shops and we'll laid out so it was a good day out so cheers..👍

I would have given this 5 stars but to be honest, the parking leaves a lot to be desired. Even though they have parking directors (a concept new to me as they do not have that in Australia) they were not very good at it. They need to think more carefully about how they plan ahead for traffic flows. Very happy with the centre itself.

Easy to find what you need. Parking is a little hard but with patience you eventually get there. Food mall was a little sparce but when you decided on a meal it was generous and tasted good too

If you want to feel like the most broke person on earth then i recomend going into queensgate with over 100 stores theres something for everyone! Just make sure you visit once your beni hits your account or you're leaving with nothing but a sad face.

Construction still happening. Feels like it's been going on forever

Just a mall. Nothing amazing. Quite a few empty shops. Great rest spaces and spaces for kids to work off some steam and even a pop-up community library. They're working to fix the parking lot and cinema at the moment so there's a touch of disruption in the parking building, but they're dealing with it well.

The only mall in the region so you don't have alot of choice but Queensgate is fine and has some great shops but nothing you couldn't get somewhere else.

We liked the Christmas decorations. And the Giraffe, Fairy and Elf, Elsa and Spiderman, balloon artist and face painting. But Santa was too late for us. The photographer was setting up and said he would be there at 10 AM. We got back there and then he would be there at 12.45 PM. With a sad child we had to go home without seeing him 😥

If you don't mind feeling the tremor of every car that drives over in the car park - it's okay - would like to know if this is earthquake safe

Large mall with a wide variety of stores to fulfill your purpose. Technology, clothing, jewellery, appliances, groceries, shoes are just some of the varieties of stock available for perusing. A food court with a variety of ethnic dishes plus the fast food kids favorites and a movie theatre offering many choices is also under the roof. A great place to go for what you need or just to browse on a rainy day to keep the kids dry and occupied.

Parking and getting in and out a nightmare but once your in, shops are nice, not really enough seats to rest in between shopping

Love this mall, large and easy to get around...with a good selection of stores. Only criticism would be that the seating in the food hall seems a little inadequate given how busy it gets. Otherwise, a lovely place to spend a few hours, or a whole day. Make sure you visit Rutherford Roast!

Generally good prices, some good stores. Lots of people walk around bare foot, parents let their children run loose and loud. Half the stores are tidy with great staff and the other half are shabby. Lots of options for food, which is the main reason I go there, for lunch that's close by.

Quite convenient shopping mall! Not big and not too small. There are many nice shops, and there's plenty of free parking on the weekend if you arrive early. Some good options for lunch and snacks as well.

One of the best shopping centres in lower hutt. You get all the basic stuffs here. Warehouse is open till 10pm and this is a big benefit of visiting the mall. There are some good restaurants in the food court and play area for kids as well. Overall it's a good place to spend sometime in the evening.

No more cinema, why??? It's been years since it's been gone, surely one could be built by now.

All the usual mall shops. The parking building design is a complete disaster though, try and park in surrounding streets and walk to avoid the extra stress. The foodcourt is straight out of the 80s with many empty shops.

Favourite major stores under one roof. Lots of little privately owned stores as well. Easy finding a park if you turn hard left instead of going straight and right.

Clean tidy and all the regular mall shops

Everything you need in one place, although elevators weren't working and confusing where to find the toilets. Toilets very clean.

Centre of the HUTT region, bus stop right outside the entrance, not overly crowded, friendly atmosphere both patrons and shop owners especially Zampelles, food look presentable and more importantly scrumptious n yummy, we shall be back.

Large multilevel shopping centre in the heart of Lower Hutt. Plenty of free parking in the multilevel carpark (park up to 4 hours). This mall has all the major chain shops, providing a large range of goods. It will cater for everybodies shopping needs. There are plenty of clean and tidy bathrooms and a small play area for little kids. Also includes a reasonably sized food court and a few separate cafes. Ideal for a day shopping (especially on a wet or windy day).

Parking is a major problem. Would be great with the above parking lights showing green if available that would speed up the flow of cars.

Not a lot of seating to stop for a bit when there for a couple of hours but has what we need as it's the only Mall around the area. Parking can be difficult getting I and out so highly recommend just use the top stories to avoid having to wait for parking on ground floor or park on streets at cost.

This shopping mall has come about quite rapidly after the huge restructuring from previous earthquake. New shops not previously there have emerged and they are currently underway on putting back together the elite cinema that previously drew droves to the centre. There are currently parking attendants to assist you to a park and assist you to an exit on completion of your shopping. From a vast food court, to book stores, The Warehouse, Farmers, H n M and countless other stores to delight. Come and visit and experience for yourself.

Very big and beautiful mall all the options in one mall. We can do any kind shopping in one's. Nice cafe there's. And Asian food options as well .. I love it..

K+K best clothes shop ever! I tried on 8 things, intending to buy one, and they all worked. Staff super friendly and helpful without being pushy.

One of the best malls but the food court is one of the same. Boring choices. Coffee club is a great place but my God the prices! Finish those cinemas. The mall needs it!

Great mall with a play area to keep young children entertained and has a wide variety for any shoppers needs

As a shopping mall it's okay, the comfortable seats along the walkways is a nice touch but needs more. I do like the play areas set aside for toddlers. The biggest plus for me is the closeness of public bus transportation.

One of the biggest mall in Welly. It has many brands. The food court is way below expectations for a mall with this size. The entrance is always busy and not easy to find parking in crowded times.

This mall is one of the best in the Wellington area largely because its got a large collection of popular stores in one location instead of across the city. Parking is more or less free (it's free for four hours) and there's plenty of it, and it's incredibly accessible by bus also. Always hit up Kyoto whenever I'm there because their donburi are just beautiful - if only they were in Wellington City! Small play area for kids but it is down the road from a park if you're keen for that. Definitely worth a look if you're around and like shopping.

Great shops are located in this mall, lots of different types of foods from various cultures and different clothing brands. It can get rather crowded and can be difficult to find a good park or a park at all at peak times. The mall itself is very boring, once you have been once, you never need to go again because it never changes.

One stop for most of your shopping requirements. Clothing and food.

The food court has a delicious Indian takeaway, and subway restaurant. When I visited some time ago the cleaning was a little slow so a lot o f the tables had discarded trays and food . Lots of car parking but often full, especially since the earthquake closed the cinema and some other shops.

Good little modern mall for lower hutt, parking on weekends is bumper to bumper so go early and leave early or maybe park on road side. Looks like more shops are going in.

Of course this is the largest mall in the Wellington area. It's modern and good a great range of shops to choose from. Nice did court but choose your food wisely as some are expensive for fairly ordinary food.

Best mall in the Wellington area, but not perfect. A good range of stores and usually pretty clean. It's a decent size. Extra points for the H&M, but otherwise it's nothing special as far as malls go.

In Wellington region if you are missing going into bigger mall after visiting Auckland malls then great place to go. Usually malls in Wellington are not that bigger as this one and Porirua one.

Variety of shops aren't as good as they used to be. Parking is OK most of the time but trying to get out can become difficult during busier periods. The food court could use an update but if you sit near the window you can see outside onto the street which is a nice view of Lower Hutt.

I'm not a shopping center guy but the parking was good in the morning and the mall was clean and not too busy.it was easy to get in and out for my appointment with specsavers with out any fuss.

they say on their advertising that there is over 140 stores in their premises but that's a misdirection as they cant possibly fit that many physical stores in there. plus the construction of the new cinema has taken over the carpark. most of their stores are clothing stores for much smaller people. their food court is often over priced

Great place to have coffee, shop, without worrying about the weather or parking. Parking is always easily available. At an international level the shopping options are not great but for NZ they are quite good.

Amazing and fun! So many different shops and it is very intertaning! Clothes shops, food shops, and many more! I appreciate it being there. I recommend it to anyone travelers or people who just moved to Wellington! ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ stars.

March2021: Easy parking, clean, bright stores. The food Court smells the only downfall.

All the usual sevice station services with a good mechanic tyre shop out back. Gas bottles efficiently & safely filled, one of the only "touch free" car washes around. A good wash with technicolour effects(take the kids for the fun) always have a free wheel wash bucket & broom for while you wait . .

My wife dragged me here because all the favourites are under one roof. Personally I prefer trekking from store to store by car and getting the satisfaction of finding the perfect parking or just letting off steam in the safety of my car at some idiot who can't park. Anyway here we park once and walk the rest. It does mean that I could be walking through Countdown with a Warehouse trolley though. Dominion Post of 8 June 2018 reports that the complex had some tenants leaving since the building is earthquake prone. So best check before your visit.

My first visit since moving to Kapiti. I arrived early having read of parking pressure but had no issues. Lovely range of shops and encountered pleasant staff. I will he back!

I like queens gate shopping centre lots of cool shops could do with another supermarket built inside queens gate shopping centre I know we have countdown. But the coolest side of about it is the movie complex is going to be open I think at the end of this year.

Really good experience good if you wanna shop and grab a feed or go to buy some clothes jewelry or tech or games but not much to do other than shop or grab a quick feed or go to the bank

Best local mall around. High rate of occupancy. No more dramas as of May 2017 with earthquake damage which seems to pervade other reviewers reviews. Has escalators to upper levels, good mix of stores, and a ton of places to eat and catch a coffee. Easily beat place in lower hutt. Lots of parking available as well.

Great range of everything here, always my first point of call for gift hunting. Loads of car parking (except during school holidays - I avoid the place like a plague then)! Love that the parking is free too!

Nice shopping mall with all the big NZ brand shops, you can buy vegetables to home furniture within this mall 🙂 bit crowded on weekend or holidays.

This is a well lit two level mall with escalators at both ends. All the usual mall chainstores are in here selling books & stationery, footwear, clothing, food, hair products, bags, housewares or gifts. There are some small businesses that provide services like massage or haircuts. There is loads of seating in the middle of the mall for people who get tired easily. Four hours of free parking.

Alot of variety of clothing shops

A little airy as some escalators do not work from the latest earthquake, but has only been open a few days after being closed down since Christmas so bound to have some down time before coming back to full operation. Some stores are in the midst of closing down which doesn't give the mall a lively vibe.

This is the first time I've been back since the shops were reopened. It was 4.30pm and was so busy. The carpark was a nightmare. I have a disability and have to use a stick. We couldnt get a disability park near the entrance so we drove around to come back near the entrance and it took 5mins waiting for our turn to be guided into the flowing traffic and we managed to find a park not too far away from the entrance. After entering the actual shopping centre and making our way to the shops I was starting to get very sore after nearly an hour of walking round and standing n shops. By the time I got back to the car I was in a lot of pain. I think the powers that be overlooked the needs of people with disabilities when it came to redoing the carpark and entrances. For example to get down to Farmers is quite a walk and with a stick by the time u get to the dept u want your already experiencing pain and then its a struggle to have a look at things.

Great to have things in one place, just find the parking a huge issue at the moment. It always takes far longer than it needs to to find a park and also get out!

Haven't been in queensgate shopping plaza for over 4years lots of excellent shops actually for me you can shop tell you drop... Variety of many good shops that I found I loved :) will definitely call back in next time when I'm back in the Hutt!!! Happy shopping peeps :)

The best mall in greater wellington area - not like there's any competition though. H&M newly opened here with standard Westfield mall stores and two food courts, no restaurants within the mall, Disable/pram parking, access and toilet.

Always a good place to shop. Only let down is late night shopping you will often have to put up with the street kids causing problems in the mall, they need to get better security to sort this out, otherwise a good mall.

Very modern, very popular, food court used to be better but still ok.two floors of shops, and movie theatre to reopen soon.

Enough parking. Clean. Not too crowded. Easy access to shops

It’s the only big mall in Wellington area, which is crazy as it’s in Petone. Easy access by bus, lots of stores and a good food court. Parking is a bit of a mission in a busy day.

Some stores need friendly staff, but there are some awesome people working hard for their companies in here.

Queensgate offers a variety of shops to suit anyone's budget. The underground parking can be a bit stressfull at the busiest of times, especially in the Christmas season. The food court area could offer more of a variety. If your wanting to treat yourself or a child with an ice-cream you would find that there is only one outlet that offers this service and is situated on the ground floor located at the other the far end? Alternatively there is Burger king who offer the basic sundaes but unfortunately the machine was out of service.

Average and just what youd expect from a typical retail complex - A Mix of good and bad. parking has always been a problem even before the quake and its common-sense to park a short walking distance away despite time restrictions and parking wardens. Foodcourt is always good.

Fantastic place to come for shopping! Tons of stores and a great variety of different things. The layout is really odd so it's not the easiest to find what you're looking for initially... But still, you'll find everything your looking for! Food court wasn't the best, but close enough!

Pretty good shopping centre mostly recovered from the earthquake with some new shops opened now. Plenty of bathrooms and eating places, lifts and escalators. Good parking.

One of the decent shopping centres around Wellington

Tldr: lol An area to explore since there isnt anything else in the area really. Its a mall... malls have shops of differing contents. The food court is a place for slobs if you dont know what you are doing, the asian food stalls seems the lesser of evils. If you want to hang out with friends, get creative and go elsewhere. Otherwise stay at home 😅 A shame its taking a while to rebuild the cinema~

Big shoutout to the Security and Carpark management officers who helped me out when someone T-Boned my car as I was entering their carpark. Super helpful, really kind and understanding. Photocopied documents for me so that I could sort out my insurance and get the other drivers details. Great customer service, keep it up guys.

The mall may not be so big, but it have the only H&M in Wellington, it have the best Warehouse (2nd floor) in Wellington (We usually found stuff there, that was out of stock in other Warehouses), Countdown in the ground floor It have a decent food court and There is also Nando's, but not in the food court area. We usually go there for cloth or for Warehouse. Nice mall ;) recommended.

Free wheelchair hire was quick and hassle free. Really helps with an elderly parent

Great little mall, which has almost everything you will look for in a mall. Unfortunately no cinema or toy store for kids or play area. But a great little mall.

Stuffs working in the Mall are so friendly, the place that have almost everything you needs..., includes free Wi-Fi internet which is super convenience for me as visitor, especially when I shopping and buy something for friends and family, using FaceTime is simply, awesome.

Huge range of shops on two levels including electronics, clothing and food. Reasonable sales at certain times. Great free parking.

Very nice shopping here before the 7.8 earthquake. The cinemas, car park and various other shops have since all been closed due to damage. Therefore my rating was for the pre-earthquake experience.

Was not as exciting as other malls I have been too, food was average but was clean place to eat. No Mc donalds though that was weird for a mall..

Great for high street shopping, just about all major retailers. Great food court too. Layout is a bit puzzling but car parks are abundant.

Probably the best mall in wellington but its pretty average by Australian standards 🤷🏼‍♀️ It has everything you need though and is clean and tidy at all times, staff are easy to find and approach and do a good job of keeping any mischief and trouble out of the mall.

Always a nice place to visit with lots of interesting shops, food halls offering a variety of foods and seating, these are located at the east and west ends of the mall, several coffee shops in the concourse, a major bus stop giving easy access to the suburbs and the rail net work close by, parking is somewhat limited due to a major upgrade of the complex following an earthquake, I like visiting Queengate and the surrounding businesses as well, on the 2nd floor wheel chairs and battery powered scooters are available from the help desk.

What a fabulous shopping centre. Very surprised at the amazing quantity of great shops. Food court and ice cream shop super too. Had a great weekend in Lower Hutt and went to the mall on 3 occasions .

A local attraction. Excellent for families over the weekend. Features many shops and cafes. Countdown and The Warehouse inside the same building. There is even a pharmacy at the ground floor.

They have a "Shaver shop" upstairs You get there everything from shaver brushes made from real badger hair to most brands of electric shavers- They ordered for me new blades for a electric shaver and they where there with in a week - they have also every brand of electric toothbrushes - Great shop

Great mall if your into poorly designed buildings that can't stand a wee earthquake. In Wellington. Which is ready for an earthquake... right next door to a major faultline. But the selections are great. Get in before it falls down

The only big mall in Wellington, so many brands for shopping and cafes for food. They should have a bigger and better kids play area as the current one is really small.

Love queen's Gate mall I just wish it was closer to where I live, bummed that the picture theater is not there anymore but that's the only thing. O I must comment on the parking there people need to learn to park properly that's not on the mall its on the people.

The Queensgate shopping centre has a decent selection of shops for those looking for clothing, electronics or just something to eat. Since the Wellington earthquake renovation s have modified this shopping centre into a modern facility with everything you need to browse and purchase.

Queensgate is back up and running, with plenty to see and do. Cinemas are still closed but that is a minor inconvenience.

Great verity of stores, noise level in stores is ok but there is not floor plan so it makes finding stores difficult. Adds a lot of walking that doesn't need to happen.

Shopping mall in Lower Hutt. It is still under construction of earthquake re enforcing. A lot of people and cars. I recently noticed that there are some men helping drivers to guide where to go for a parking space. Once get through all this chaos should be okay for shopping. 4 hours free park.

Spacious. Problem with parking when busy. Otherwise okay if one goes early. Good selections of products. Food / choices seem limited though outlets small in area but numerous.

Great parking. The Warehouse here is smaller than the Petone branch but it is still good. The earthquake has caused damage so the Event cinema building is being demolished. This Warehouse is closed temporarily.

I haven't been to queens gate since 1990 since I use to work at the butcher shop in bunny at lol.a lot has changed.the parking attendance did a good job direction traffic but a lot of cars .good day at Queensgate.

Always loved shopping at Queensgate. It has almost everything under one roof! Just be careful dont park over the permitted parking allowance though.

Yeah its good for a mall. But I find that you seem to be always looking for a toilet, they seem to have 2 toilets, the ground one is in the middle somewhere and the other is by the food area

Great mall, All i can say is never use lotus gold for money exchange. They try to take your credit card and passport details after lying about what they require. Very unprofessional and rude. Real bummer.

Still a great place for shopping, partially closed since the kaikoura earthquake, but most of the shops are still open. Down to just one food court now, which is sad, as that was the end with the Nando's and the Spice Rack! Also The Warehouse is still shut.

This is probably the top shopping centre in the Wellington area. It's a busy and noisy place, but definitely worth a visit. Plenty of eating options with two food courts and numerous cafes.

This is one of the smaller malls but one of the best in the country don't let's its size fool you well worth a visit in Lower Hutt

Queensgate is a two-level shopping mall, with all of the amenities you would expect to find in a mall these days. As a bonus, it has an excellent food court with a wide range of foods available at reasonable prices. Beware in school holidays etc, it can become a mad house!!

I like shopping at the mall because there are shops that we don't have here in Masterton and you can more for your money

I love the high street and shopping in Lambton Quay and central Welly, but on a wet windy day with kids, this has everything you need under cover.

It is smaller than overseas shopping malls, but comparing apples with apples, QG Mall is one of the best shopping / social complexes in Wellington and the only one in Lower Hutt. It has over 140 stores (clothing, tech, variety, shoes + snapper terminal, etc.), a small food-court, cafes and covered car-parking (4 hours limit). It is centrally located in the CBD and flanked by bus hubs, taxi stands and other businesses. It is true that the earthquake has affected the Angus Inn-end (Bloomfield Terrace) where the old cinema and two banks are located but with the second phase of reconstruction these will be fully restored, along with car-parking and access routes at that end. Kudos to those shops affected and the public for their patience and perseverance to soldier on until the mall with its cinema complex (jewel in the QG crown) is fully functional again. For a small suburb, Hutt residents are lucky to have such a mall in its midst. Consider the many visitors who often trip across Wellington city just to shop at the QGM. Locals are also lucky that they have the Lighthouse Cinema in Petone to go to while the Reading Cinema Complex is being rebuilt. QGM is a vital contributor to the local economy and an essential shopping and social facility to HV residents.

Recovering from the earth quake and opening some great new stored from Europe ( h&m) also Mecca they are relooking at their car parking to help with the demand but a great shopping mall it has everything at your fingertips.

The parents room toilets awesome and the kids playground is pretty good for a mall. Makes shopping with small children easier.

Coffee at Muffin Break then left happy husband reading while I trolled Farmers sale then Whitcouls sale. Left Mall after making great savings and with sated tummy after top up. Recommend !

The mall is great however some of the shops i.e. The warehouse and JB hifi need to improve their customer service. I left the mall and purchased goods at Harvey Norman.

Lower hutt queensgate has a lot of shops in offer. Including fashion, electronics, furniture, health and beauty and more than one food court. Plenty of parking on offer and a lot of seating if one gets overwhelmed

It's great shopping centre, right in the heart of lower hutt city. Lately parking is a bit of an issues with one side of the parking under construction.

Shops are varied and interesting though some staff are awesome and some not quite the same. Good variety of goods available just have to pick the good ones out.

I will probably give it five stars once the repairs are done. At the moment it's a little less accessible. There are fewer car parks and fewer entrances.

It is a complete shopping center, you find everything and there is quality and good offers, it also has all the services.

Queensgate is humming again after the earthquake setback. H&M has opened up and Seed Heritage is on its way, all it needs now is a Country Road and a Zara! Still great improvement one what what it was this time last year.
