S.Because of the customer service, Bivouac is by far the best outdoor store in NZ. Their staff actually use the products they sell so they can clearly explain options and pros/cons of different products based on your needs. When helping you find hiking boots they take the time to measure your feet and recommend boots based on your foot size/shape. Highly recommended!

A.We bought our hiking backpacks here, plus a lot of other gear. It’s the best place we’ve found in NZ to buy outdoor gear from the USA. Plus, they often have really good prices on icebreaker clothes & accessories. Just don’t go to the location on Queen Street – the Newmarket one is so much better!

Excellent range of products with many robust, international and local brands (unlike Kathmandu/Macpac). Have bought most of my tramping and trail running kit from here, thank you for a great experience always.

J.More stock and knowledge in this store than their are pointless stores in the new mall across the road. If that wasn’t clear I mean it’s plentiful! This is where I get all my arcy drip as well as camping essentials from. Old mate in there will chew your ear off but it’s all good stuff if you’ve got the patience for it lol
M.Very helpful staff. I needed a new tramping pack. There are a lot of options. A friendly and professional Canadian guy asked all the right questions and talked me through all the pack features. Then he measured my back and found the one I liked in my size and showed me how to adjust it to fit perfectly. He weighted it up so I could get a feeling for it with a real load and I walked around the store. I feel happy and confident I have made the right purchase.

A.Great store, good service, have bought plenty of things from here. Always advisable to come during sale as otherwise it's too expensive as they stock only good outdoor gear and equipment. Long weekend sales are the best. Also you can hire stuff for cheap like crampons, ice axe for $15 each
C.Good range of outdoor clothing and equipment, prices are high but this is a expensive retail area, so you pay for the location. Did however find a shirt on discount which was excellent value. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Sehr geiler laden! Hatte alles was man zum campen, klettern, wandern usw braucht. Der Service war super, wir wurden super beraten von einem sehr netten jungen Mann. Haben uns auch so noch etwas mit ihm unterhalten! Natürlich waren die Preise recht hoch, was aber für Outdoor Läden normal ist...
