Update: one month later. What a difference!! When you said you'd improve, you did. I bought two jackets in this shop just now and had very good service. I was greeted as I entered and offered help a couple of times while I looked for things. No problem finding staff to point out the fitting room and I was given useful information at checkout. From 1 to 5 stars just like that.
Just spent 15 minutes in this shop intending to buy boots, pack, sandals and poles. No interest from the staff at all even though there were no other customers and at least three staff. I was completely ignored, not even greeted. That's an easy $1000 they missed because I could see exactly what I wanted except for the poles. There would've been minimal work in it for them, which would've been fitting considering that seems to be what they're used to doing.

Always go here before you try Northface, Marmot, or Macpac. Their clearance range is so big so you're bound to get a great deal.

The best outdoor store in Auckland. All your favorite brands, Icebreaker, Mons Royale, Kuhl, North Face and more in one place with the same and usually better prices than in the branded stores. Check the sale racks for sweet deals. Staff are always helpful!

Lovely store with lots of sales on, talked to a young man in the climbing section who seemed very knowledgeable for his age. He helped me with climbing gear, packs and shoes and knew what he was doing. Very good store!

Descend a flight of stairs from Queen street, caries a good range of hiking equipment. Best choice of main stream suppliers if not wanting to buy a house brand. Staff were helpful and friendly. Items are relatively pricey even with sale discounts taken into account.

I unfortunately ended up having to sell my backpack quickly and get a replacement :( Was recommended a men's pack because of my height...but men's packs don't suit women. The frame really dug into my hips and I only realised this once it was loaded with proper weight and ready for a trip. Ladies, take note.

There is nothing wrong with this store. It's underground and has low ceilings so it's not exactly the most exciting outdoor goods store you'll ever visit but they have a decent selection and the staff are friendly.

I’m a Te Araroa tramper and needed just a couple of small items to continue my journey. Amazingly helpful staff and great selection! I wasn’t spending much money but they still made sure I found everything I needed and pointed out sale items to save my wallet! Glad I found this place!

Staff always happy to help. Large selection of outdoors and general travel equipment. Compared to competitors they also stock a lot of third party brands. Not the cheapest on the market, though.
