Recently I decided to give kiteboarding a go, and booked in a couple of lessons with the team at Wings and waves. The instructors are clearly super experienced and knowledgeable. I felt in very safe hands for the entirety of both my lessons. Would highly recommend if you’re looking to get into it!

I completed my PG2 rating for Paragliding with W&W. Eva, Rueben and Lukas has been a great support and amazing teachers throughout the process, by being patient. I would recommend anyone who wants to start to learn flying with WW.

My partner and I recently did a "Big Day Paragliding" with Eva and Reuben at Wings & Waves. It was beyond fantastic. Eva & Reuben are both absolutely lovely people and great instructors. We would do this again in a heartbeat and can't wait to return next time

I needed new lines for my paraglider 5 days before Christmas. Eva and Rhuben made it happen, saved my holiday, and got them to me the following day in the South Island! Beyond stoked with these two! Will sing their praises near and far. Merry xmas to you both 🙂🌬🪂

When I decided to learn to paraglide the team at WingsandWaves were very helpful in getting me started. You soon realise the passion the family team has, making you feel part of their family. Eva, Rueben and Lukas have lots of passion and willingness to pass on their wisdom and knowledge of years of paragliding to make you a safe pilot. Completed PG2 and then doing 8 days in Wanaka was a great finish aswell. Fully recommend.

My son and I did the trial day yesterday. What an incredible day! The instructors were excellent. Friendly, helpful, informative, and I felt safe and that they had everything under control at all times. Will be coming back for more.

After my first tandem flight in France I came back to New Zealand excited to learn how to Paraglide. There are a couple of schools in Auckland but I definitely made the right choice in Wings & Waves. All the instructors have many years of experience and love sharing their passion and knowledge. From the first day they gave me confidence and I knew I could trust them to keep me safe, and teach me how to paraglide. They are very patient and calm teachers. I have had so much fun on the many training days in various sites around Auckland and the Waikato. I have now finished my PG2 and look forward to many years of flying. If you are considering an intro course, tandem or full PG2 I have no hesitation in recommending Wings and Waves!

Just recently finished my PG2 course with Wings & Waves. Eva, Lucas & Reuben are very experienced instructors who have been awesome to learn from. I brought all my gear through them and have been really impressed by the quality. They have heaps of sites to choose from and go out of their way to help. If you're wanting to learn to paraglide, Wings & Waves should definitely be your 1st choice.

Reuban is an amazing man kind and gentle instructor that will teach you everything you need to know to get started and doing this sport the safest and the fun ways possible. Lukas you're also a legend! :-) I'm super glad I joined you guys. It was the right decision. 5 stars! Maximum satisfaction. Highly recommend for anyone planning to start.

I did my PG1 and started my PG2 with Wings and Waves before moving to Queenstown. The team of Eva, Reuben and Lukas are extremely professional and have a very nice and calm way of instructing. I felt immediately comfortable and each day out learning with them was an amazing experience - in a truely spectacular location at Kariotahi Beach, each day on the course felt like a big step forward with lots of learning, but also fun and in a very safe environment. I highly recommend Wings and Wave - just wish I had started learning paragliding earlier.

I have just completed my PG2 course with Wings & Waves. Excellent support from beginning to PG2 and beyond with equipment, theory and field training. All round a great experience. Eva, Reuben and Lucas are very professional and invest hugely in your safety and skill. Highly recommended!

Brilliant!! I had done a few listens before but it was still quite unsure of myself after having a big gap between the lessons and practice. The guys at Wings & waves using their super handy radio headset's got me back up and running really quickly with some great tips and tons of help. I'm feeling a lot safer and a lot more ready to go and tackle the kitesurfing and get good at this fantastic sport 💯👌👍

I have completed my PG2 license with Wings and Waves and couldn't recommend them more. Rueben, Eva and Lucas are very experienced instructors who make you feel safe and confident at each step of your flying journey. I wouldn't learn with any other company

The team at wings and waves really know what they are doing in all aspects of flying. Their main objective is to keep you safe and secondly show you the time of your life! The locations are breathtaking and the beer after a day soaring along the coast is well deserved. I highly recommend flying with wings and waves.

Been having my Kite lessons with Lukas and Reuben, great teachers, tons of pacience and good vibe in and out the water, safe learning with good gear. Eva on the emails has been very helpful too. Best kite school in Auckland. Thanks guys, see you next windy day!

I finished my instruction with Reuben and Eva in the 90’s and have had great mentorship and support ever since. One of the only schools in NZ to offer regular cross country training courses in NZ, Australia and Europe for over 20 years. The only school in NZ where the instructors have competed and won trophy’s at the NZ paragliding nationals every single year for over a decade ..in 2016 Wings and Waves instructors and pilots won every class and every trophy! This shows the calibre of the Instructors and their ability to pass on their skills, knowledge and experience. The school offers online quizzes, an online logbook and online lectures. They offer top notch equipment, advice, maintenance and repairs ...a true one stop shop for everything related to Paragliding from your first lesson / tandem flight through to advanced courses and ratings. Wings and Waves are WorkSafeNZ accredited. You won’t find another school in NZ that has all of these things.

Experienced my first tandem paragliding session with Rueben as a birthday present. The hole experience was fantastic. Great communication, managed expectations with weather, very safety conscious (which my worried husband appreciated watching on the sidelines). The flight itself was amazing, couldn't recommend it enough. Thanks for the great day.

Totally professional. I’m an airline pilot where safety and procedure is everything. I’ve been nothing but impressed with Wings and Waves. Couldn’t fault them. A great experience learning with them and they are lovely people as well.

Am currently working towards my PG2 with ~10 days of flying/40 flights and have not regretted a single moment of flying with Eva and Reuben! There are nice possibilities to get a feel if paragliding is for you before investing into gear or lessons. Both take great care to make sure you are safe and learn flying in a way that you are equipped to fly well, know all the techniques and stay safe around others in the future when flying without an instructor. If you are thinking of trying paragliding, I can only recommend to do so with Wings & Waves! Cheers

I initially picked up kitesurfing as my wife and I saw kitesurfers while driving past Te Atatu, seeing them on the left side of the motorway coming towards town. My wife mentioned I was boring, and needed to be more adventurous. She did some research and Wings & Waves stood out as offering great prices and having great reviews. I've had 5 kitesurfing lessons so far. It's been a wonderful experience. I would highly recommend Wings & Waves lessons to everyone. There is a huge focus on safety and maintaining the equipment. The people running Wings & Waves clearly love what they do. The fact that their training includes use of their equipment completely removes the financial barrier of giving it a go.

I spent the last week with Eva and Lucas doing a cross country training course. We had some fantastic flights with superb in-the-air coaching, some really useful theory lessons including tips from local pilots, and some great socializing too. Top quality tuition, great fun, great company, and learnt heaps. Highly recommended!

I learnt to paraglide with Wings and Waves, purchased my gear through them and have also completed an advanced course with them. These guys have excellent skills where it really matters. Loads of experience, excellent instruction, great to work with, loads of fun, very professional and great service. Highly recommended from total beginner to PG2 and beyond.

Got my PG2 with W&W ! Great team ! From a foreigner standpoint it can be difficult to learn technical stuff but they made sure I understood and were very helpful ! Can't recommend enough :)

I needed service for my glider on short-notice. Reuben was very helpful and responsive. I received the glider back fully checked within 48 hours for a very fair price. Would definitely recommend them, very friendly people!

I have just done an advanced course with Eva and Lucas in Wanaka. Great people, superb organisation and communication and a fantastic course ! 50km !!! Highly recommend. Learning with them doesn't have to stop at PG2.

What a absolute breath of fresh air to deal with true professionals not only in the sport but also in business. I purchased a few items in December 2017 and the service was amazing so went back for more yesterday. Just cant say enough about how helpful and fast they are top marks !!!!!! I will be back
