B. T.I got some super trousers. $230 for work pants is definitely expensive but they should last forever. They feel super solid.
They were really helpful at the shop, i was between sizes and they just took the pants out the back and modified the button in 2 minutes.
I'll update this reveiw in 3 years and let you know how I got on.

Worn out over work boot areas
A couple of rips on the thigh.
They are about done I guess, $230÷16months =$14.75 per month
Not to bad but probably the same as buying more pairs of cheaper pants throughout the year.

And yes you will pay a bit extra for the item. But the craftsmanship and materials used will outlast pretty much anything else on the market.

t. q.I’ve not been to the actual store in NZ, but my experience with Cactus over the past decade is one of creeping corporatisation. Cactus now seems to take a scatter-gun approach to its product line-up, and the staff have developed a less than helpful attitude. I don’t think that I’ll be placing another order; and will just look for clothes at the op shop from now on. Love my original super trousers, but feel pretty ambivalent about Cactus’s slide into “hipsterdom”.

A. G.If you want really, really durable clothing that does support any thinkable outdoor activity from work to sport then this is the brand for you. Another plus is, that the pieces are produced locally in New Zealand. And who knows better about outdoor activity then Kiwis?
A. S.These guys make some of the best outdoor gear in the world, and they do it all right here in New Zealand. Their Supertrousers are unbeatable. If you don't have a pair, you are wearing the wrong trousers! If you can make it into their store in Chch you'll find out just what nice people they are - don't forget to give the magicians on the sewing machines a wave too. :-)

M. K.The Cactus Lightweight Supershorts are the best pair of shorts I've ever owned. Perfect for hiking and outdoor work. Repels stains and water. Can wear for days without washing, and they don't even smell! Chuck a nice flannel on and you can even wear them to the pub. Seems like a lot to pay for a pair of shorts, but well worth it!

A.i own a lot of Cactus gear- a vacuole which is 10 years old a messnger bag, which is even older, tool roll, assorted pouches,laptop bag, handbag etc etc.. all very very strongly built , not cheap but made to last.If i replace any of my geaar it would have to be with cactus stuff again. the clothing for me doesnt fit too well, so wont get again but thats probably because im a bit too fat.
T. A.Clothes that really last. Can't fault anything I've bought here. Not cheap, but the stuff lasts forever, so in the end way better value than anything else. My wife's pack has probably done 100s of days in the hill and is still going strong.
