The staff here are wonderfully helpful and friendly. Store is chokka with stock but tidy and well laid out. They don't sell fitness gear (weights etc) at this store, but you can order online for click and collect.

Had to replace one of the custom screws on my bike. While they didn't stock it they gave me all the details of the type of screw and sent me to blacks fasteners. Saved me a few days of shipping and a bit of cash.

Cashier lady got my name wrong when typing down information for club member but that was funny 😂 I got a good deal for my queen air bed (pump included) so I'm happy.

Staff can be a bit or miss. Either you find someone who is willing to help you and give you lots of great advice and let you and help you greatly, or you can be standing at a checkout for 10 mins while one person Is trying to do a return or talking to the employee, while another employee is doing something on the other till and not offering any service or help. And staff members are walking around the stores not serving the people who are waiting. You either have a absolutely fantastic time here or a bit of a annoying time here. If you want to find a helpful staff member I definitely recommend Ben, he is very helpful and will be glad to help you out.

If you're looking for a bike, this is the place to go in Dunedin. I Brought a Mountain bike from them 2years ago & they were really helpful. I'm not mechanically minded so I take my bike there to get serviced. Really professional, knowledgeable staff who are passionate about the outdoors. They're a real pleasure to deal with & I am more than happy to call myself a loyal customer here.

Great place. Ordered a kayak via click and collect and when I came to pick it up it was all quick and easy, the lady helping me (Cassy I think) even gave me a hand carrying the kayak across the road to my car. Happy as 👍

Very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable guys. They helped me to get the right gear for surfing. My wetsuit was ordered from a different shop and I got it delivered to my home within three days. All my curious questions about surfing and gear were answered.

Prices are pretty reasonable, when they have sales at least. The new store layout at Andy Bay is an absolute shambles though - went there to find hats/socks and they sort everything by brand, so had to look in three or four different places! They have a surprisingly limited selection of stuff too, although the floorplan is bigger than the old store, they don't have the upstairs like the old one.

Good store, becoming ‘my shop’ for all things outdoor - the camping gear is seriously well priced and designed to make life easy - they even stock bicycle tubes, a good membership programme to get ongoing seriously good discounts on all future purchases - best first choice outdoors shop for me - never disappointed with torpedo 7 - you guys rock.
