I dealt with Andrew from Torpedo Nelson store. I arrived right on closing time (I'm guessing that's pretty gutting when you want to get home). He wasn't phased and quickly sold me a Kayak. Awesome service, he went out of his way, I'd have understood if he told me they were closing and to come back another day.

Called ahead to ensure they had the sup board in stock. Was assured they had several and there was no need to reserve one. Got there a couple of hours later. They had none.

Last week while visiting Nelson, we had a problem with my e-bike which kept losing power. Contacted Torpedo7 and everyone we spoke to ie Marama, Hamish, Andrew and Stefano were very helpful. Stefano, the bike mechanic, found a fault in my bike's rear wheel and fixed it promptly. Great service. Thanks Torpedo7 Nelson!

Lovely well laid out shop. After looking for a 1.5 litre Billy at various outlets from Dunedin to Nelson I was able to what I wanted. Very good service in the camping section. Friendly people

Went in over the weekend to check out a bike I was considering buying. The lady I dealt with was super helpful and friendly talking through potential options, she also handed me over to a couple of other staff members who had this particular bike and they all took the time to answer my questions and share their experiences and thoughts. Picked the bike up today and had a young guy (Tobin I believe was his name) help do the setup. He was brilliant as well, told him I was new to mountain biking and full suspension and he gave me a perfect beginners crash course on how to use the new bike's features and what to check for to ensure it's set up just right for me as well as some extra tips. Overall a fantastic experience and so much more personal, helpful and professional compared to experiences I've had at other stores. Thanks!

We are on the hunt for camping gear... so shopping around. Staff friendly and helpful. Price wise found that they had 3 different prices for the same item on one... And most items did not even have a price on them. Most of the items that were out on display, felt and seemed flimsy and weak. A lot of inconsistency. The shop is fairly big and huge supply of different outdoor things... but as far as camping items go, won't be buying from here.

Hard to get on phone tried for a hour so had to put bike on car ,then didn't have part. Never mind got gd discount on Item we brought threw NZMCA. thankyou.

I had the pleasure of meeting an amazing young Latino gentleman,who walked me through E-MTBs, he had amazing knowledge of their products, purchased 3 e-bikes from him, and I will buy my 2021 bike from them next year, what a great salesman and store.

My two boys and I picked up a Trek mountain bike from the Nelson Store after purchasing online via click and collect. We went in with little expectation, other then to receive the bike assembled. We were pleasantly greeted by Tobyn, who quickly figured out who we were, where the bike was and what we were about. Tobyn ran us through the bike and gave us sound advice on a pedal upgrade, which we purchased. He then had a chat with my son about trail riding and gave him some great advice. My boys and I found the vist to the store surprisingly good, thanks Tobyn👍🏼.

What a great place to go for all of your outdoor adventures. Whether it's walking, running, hiking, biking, camping, skiing or kayaking they have something for everyone. They also have knowledgeable staff that are friendly and helpful no matter what your next adventure is.

Last day of the year bought a WHYTE brand Mountain Bike for my 11 yr old son. Dealt with Steve who was outstanding. Surprised with negative recent reviews as interacted with a few other staff as quite busy, they all seemed very good and were under the pump. Anyway..well done Steve we will be back as gave us a sharp price plus a goodie thrown in
