The BEST outdoor sports hire shop I have ever used while travelling. Thanks to the boys hooking us up with mountain bikes today, exceptional gear.. even better service

We visited Outside sports yesterday and Tsukasa provided us not only with excellent customer service, but top advise on trail-running shoes. As we are still in the decision process regarding the shoes, we didn’t buy then. However, when the time comes I am quite sure we will go for the ones he showed us. He has been friendly, patient and welcoming!

The staff here were knowledgable and very patient with us. We spent 1 or 2 hours contemplating our shopping decisions and they checked in with us constantly and made sure we had everything we needed.

Had some amazing help from Logan. I was having seat problems, he adjusted my seat to match me, and made it far more comfortable, all free of charge. What a star!

I am a travel agent and have had a lot of experience with ski rentals for clients. We recently spent 2 weeks in Queenstown skiing with my family. Our rentals were through Outside Sports and the service we received was absolutely outstanding. Awesome store! Plenty of choice among high quality gear and clothing. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the customer service one of the best I've experienced. I had an issue with my hiking boots and they were replaced without ado. I couldn't pick them up in Queenstown as I was travelling, so they were sent to the address I provided. I totally recommend shopping at Outside Sports!

I bought a Patagonia jacket online. They had good stock and options, and the jacket arrived to me here in Christchurch in two days. The only concern I have was that I paid $6.99 more (instead of free) for the 'tracked' express shipping option as I wanted to track its delivery. I didn't receive an email with a tracking code so, 24 hours after the jacket was dispatched, I contacted the store to ask. The store manager, Judy, replied very promptly with the tracking code as well as a summary of its current status. Good result but if you were going to buy something online and pay for tracking you should receive a tracking code without having to ask for it. But the jacket arrived promptly and the response to my email was quick and polite, so I wouldn't let that affect the 5/5 rating.

Great equipment, competitive prices and AMAZING service, especially from Yuki and Tsukasa. Not only did Yuki and Tsusaka make us feel like nothing was too much trouble, but when we said that we may come back in a couple of days to rent snow gear again, they prepared it all for us ready to go, ahead of time just in case we came back. It really is rare to be treated so well and to see such big smiles greeting you when you enter a store. Thank you so much.

Super friendly and helpful service from Yuki and Tsukasa getting us fitted out for ski rentals, they were awesome. Good selection of Patagonia and other outdoor gear too. Cool place.

Just got some trekking boots there. The staff members were super friendly and helpful, and they had better prices than many of the other stores in town. I'll definitely head back the next time I need some gear.

Very nice store! I bought a few things in their store in Wanaka, the items were all of excellent quality, I only had a problem with the shoes. Because I was in Queenstown at that time, I could go to this store. The store staff was very friendly and helpful, they came up with a very good solution. Thank you for the excellent service!

Went there a couple of weeks ago. Nice and welcoming guys in the bike-section of the store! Even though they’remostly focused on MTB, they helped me out with some small repairs on my road bike and we rented a good quality bike for my girlfriend. They justed gave me that exstra service that makes the whole experience memorable - from the time you ask the first question about renting a bike ‘til you come back and return it. Thanks guys!

Sandra was very helpful. We had our gears for 6 days but only paid for 4 days with 2 rest days no charges. Remember to book online with 10% off discount plus 15% off if you rent more than 3 days. The staff make the process easier for you to fit your schedule. Definitely recommended!

The staff were fantastic. I had worn through my Keene sandals....they were 8 years old and owed me nothing. The staff fitted me with a pair of Merrill’s and the best part was I got them on sale!

Hired a dual suspension bike, which was in great condition, they set the spring rates for my weight, gave me good advice on where to ride. Had a long, full day hire. They're open pretty late too, so if you're out for a while day out can be a proper long day in a Queenstown summer. Their shop seems pretty good too, most of what you need for your adventure right there.

Outside sports online delivers the BEST service. I ordered a pair of Sorels on line..they arrived promptly but were the wrong size. No problem Outside sports happily sent me another pair....unfortunately they were the wrong size too. No problem again. This time I was told they would send me the next size down, I was to keep the pair I had and try them both on together to see which ones were best. Amazing service and it really matters when you are an online customer.

I rented a specialized Demo bike that they dialed in for me. They also gave me a heads up on how gnar the trails were at the bike park. It wasn't condescending, but helpful as the trails could get very technical.

Outside Sports in Queenstown has a brilliant bike shop, the staff really know their stuff. I signed up for a triathlon having never ridden a road bike before and they helped me choose the right bike for me as beginner but one that was good enough to get me through a half iron distance triathlon. My new Specialized Dolce Compact Road bike is amazing, I love its, it's perfect for me and it was on special so I bought it at a great price too. I also did the body geometry bike fit when my new bike was ready to collect so its set up perfectly for me. Thanks to the outside sports bike workshop and team.

Rented MTBs from Outside Sports. They were very well priced for a 4 hr hire of a full suspension bike. They did a great job tuning the bike suspension and even swapped the break levers to my preference.

Decent bikes for reasonable price. Service was a bit hit and miss. One day I had a friendly woman help me, the next day a grumpy guy.

Good range of sport clothing and thermals (icebreaker.. aka best of the best) helpful friendly staff. Some other goodies depending upon seasons.
