P.Shops like this are still run by people that actually use the gear they are selling. This is a huge benefit when investing in very expensive tech gear when you can't really take too many risks. I received great advice and walked out with what I hope to be the right rain jacket. It's already proven breathable, and this weekend I'll find out if it keeps me dry under seriousl conditions.

m.Went looking for inflatable airbeds. This store had a large selection. The staff (Liz and Helen) could not have been more helpful. Knew the products well and could answer all our questions. Nothing was too much trouble. Fantastic service with the added benefit of getting a couple of airbeds at a good price.
M.Great store with great Macpac products - backpacks, clothing, everything that you need for the outdoors. The store is quite new and in the day after Christmas day, there were amazing discounts - I bought a new pack there. Really friendly staff. I'm very daily that I popped into this store.

Both ladies were patient, helpful, enthusiastic (just the right amount) and genuine. Well done on hiring these two woman! Sorry I didnt get their names. Highly reccommend shopping here for your outdoor adventure needs.

K.I switched from Kathmandu to Macpac as I always get the best service here and the quality of clothing is the same if not better and for better prices. The staff here are absolutely lovely !
V.Sadly I went in to return something I brought on my travels and they where not happy about it and felt quite condescending and made me feel uncomfortable for returning a fautly object they refused was theres even tho its labled Macpac :/ could have been handled better ladys!
Otherwise smart store with alot of goodies in it!:)

H.The saleswoman at Macpac was extremely helpful. We were getting last minute items for the Tongariro Crossing. She provided lots of advice. She sold is a ton of stuff - lots more than we were expecting to buy. Most of it was very useful. We would have been miserable on the crossing without the gear she recommended. The stuff we didn't use we returned at the Macpac in Tauranga. I highly recommend the Macpac in Rotorua.
