g.Booster shot given here, small wait. Fast and efficient team doing a great job. If you haven't booked already just roll up here. I was in and out in under an hour.
E.I actually mostly go to the Christchurch arena for Armageddon, but we went for our jab this time it was really efficient quite good
a.Heaps of seats available. Staff were great to deal with and it was a great venue to host the kids kapa haka performances. Thoroughly enjoyed myself
A.Visited Armagedon which was smaller event then previous years but given circumstances Covid 19 it was well organized and successful

K.Such a versatile stadium and asset to Chch. My daughter loved watching the Tactix win last week and then yesterday we enjoyed the Brick Show.
C.Have been there few times. Excellent lighting and sound system. Excellent parking system for big events. Close on time. We waited outside for transportation under the rain and cold whether at night with children still one kind person waited with us without thinking of leaving until we leave. Good to have a covered place outside for visitors to wait.

j.I really love this venue for shows and have been attending assorted gigs for the last 20+ years, the size of the venue allows for more intimate shows for mid to large bands and sound quality is surprisingly good for a sports venue.
T.The arena has many different uses.
As a venue for the food show (and other events like that) it was great - good flow and space for lots of stalls. When we get concerts again it's a good spot - I wish more international acts picked it!
And for sports events it's a great space too.
The food served is always nice, although depending on the event can be very expensive. Bathroom is clean and the venue itself is well looked after.
K.I love going to shows here because they are always well organized and because the venue is not enormous, no matter where your seats are, generally you'll have a good view.
C.Certainly a large enough place for large gatherings such as graduations. Positives: There is a serving area where during this occasion coffee and some food was made available. A lift is available for use. Womens toilets clean and well maintained during the function. Negatives: Spacing along seating rows was so tight it was difficult to get past others if needed. Also, saw 2 people trip or stumble on stairs. Quite awkward to navigate for some IMO.
B.I've been to a few event here great place for them not too big. Only problem it could use another food outlet.and more tables when busy.
A.It's a big, empty space that can be used for sports, or expo events, or concerts, or whatever. Service is fine. Toilets are good. Snacks are overpriced but water drink stations are free. Heating is okay. I'm not sure what else you're looking for. It's not great, but it's not awful.
J.Access from venue on to main roads...patience needed! Good parking. Usually array of facilities you would expect in an indoor arena. Nice one!

R.After hosting multiple events in multiple venues I can not recommend the team and service experience at Horncastle Arena more highly. Great job to all involved. Love bringing our events back here!

M.Large arena and this can mess with acoustics. Been to some good bands and sound was awesome and for others it was off. Musicals, symphony and opera always spot on. Parking but never know if you will be charged. Food average, would like to see more gourmet. Alcohol selection basic but would be great to have top NZ wines.
J.Lovely big arena. Spacious. Big front entrance. Clean toilets upstairs and down. Letters above the seating so you don't forget where your sitting :) and parking for all.

Even with the large crowds things went smoothly. Good organisation unlike other events we've had around the city.
D.COVID-19 Drive Through Vaccination Clinic. VERY well-run. Helpful friendly staff. In and out in 40 minutes (including 15 minute wait post-jab).

G.First time back at the Town Hall for the Queen Concert, since before the 2010 quakes. Awesome experience and great music. I am so pleased that our Town Hall was repaired.

T.Always something happening at Christchurch Arena ... massive Lego expo on this weekend. Get there early as entrance lines are long, but the wait is not bad. Well managed and easy to get in.

W.Attended Crowded House concert here. Amazing show however the seating was atrocious. Paid for A Reserve seating and had a partially obscured view due to projectors being almost in front of us. The seating in section LL, Row 11 has next to no leg room for an average height adult (might be suitable for a child). Certainly not suitable to be sold as A reserve. Feel a bit ripped off by this. Just as well Crowded House was awesome and dulled the pain of being jammed into seating.
K.Went to the Christchurch Home Show. Some amazing displays and demonstrations of products. We were looking for a couple of specific things that unfortunately weren't in the show. The arena is great. A huge space. It was like walking through a maze, with new products and systems on display around every turn. If you missed the 2020 show, make sure you see it next year.
R.Went And got my COVID jab there and is the home of Canterbury Rams.
k.Went to a food festival there ,it was great plus also got to see chef Nadia Lim prepare a 3 course meal in 30 minutes and even won a $10 new world voucher just for asking her question lol and it is very nice clean environment at the arena in Christchurch.

J.Went to the food show on Friday. Well organised. Great selection of foods/wines etc to try and buy. Also the Neff cooking theatre had a good range of soeakers/chefs/cooks

J.Good times and good seating. I was in the H stand and had a good view of it all for the Canterbury Rams beating the Southland Sharks. Will definitely be back for more basketball.
Access to food and beverages was good for reasonably priced seats and the atmosphere was what you wanted for families.
Cafe/Restaurant on site to get your food on before the big event. Well put together place with plenty of parking and in a location easy to get in and out of.

L.I attended the Women's Lifestyle Expo. The arena had brilliant parking, was well signposted, providing good amenities. I've attended several concerts, but never an Expo. It met my expectations.
A.Great place to hold a major event. Facilities were really clean. Lots of places to sit down.
M.Nice and big place, I went to the go green expo and everything was very clean and organized
G.An amazing place for Armageddon expo to be held. Roomy to allow plently of movement around stalls and areas.
Warm and cozy as it was pouring down outside which helped me dry as I got soaked on the way.

C.It was certainly good experience attending the Home show, so much products out there to improve the housing condition, plus the technology. Well organized too.👍
K.Great arena for shows. I do however feel that the seating can be very cramped especially if you are seated next to one large person, you end up sitting sideways for the rest of the show. The seating in the outside waiting area is almost nonexistent... Which means you get there in time to get in on time and then you spend an hour on your feet, to spend the next 2 or 3 hours sitting like canned sardines. It does take away some pleasure from the performance itself. For the amount we pay for the tickets and the over priced refreshments, I would expect better.
S.Toured through here with a band a couple of times up to 2017. As far as venues go this is massive. Versatile, with great parking and access. Inside it's a monster but for the life of me, what's with the really tight seats? Don't book tickets up in the stalls if you're over 5 1/2 foot tall - you'll wreck your knees & get cast! Listening to punters at the shows there seem to be plenty of dead spots in acoustics, so you may have to try different seats.
J.Visited the Food Show. Enjoyed it. We haven't been for a few years and it was certainly much improved. Only one niggle there seemed to be only one cart selling coffee and every time we went past there was a long queue so we ended up going to the cafe in the arena.
K.Was a pretty good venue for the concert - the space and view of the stage was great. The staff seemed friendly. It was frustrating that the drinks per customer rule would change throughout the night. With long queues for food and drink anyway it didn't make for the best experience. Maybe choose one rule or policy and stick to it for the night.
C.Went to Womens Expo excellent time looking and talking to lots of stalls owners, well worth going to these events. This weekend is the Baby Expo go and visit u will enjoy
K.Great venue, very versatile - have been there a few times for different events and it always works well. It's easy to get to and has plenty of parking but it can be a fight to get out of the parking lot afterwards so I often find it easier to walk. Does have some drinks and snacks on offer but very expensive as you'd expect. More and more events are coming to Christchurch so it's great to have a good venue like this.
P.This wondrous place holds many events such as the Armageddon Expo, which is a must go to. Its a huge place that has so much going on plenty of car space, food places and easy to navigate through. I'll always have good memories here with friends and family and meeting new faces. See you again Horncastle for another Expo 😊😊
P.Enjoyed the Pink Floyd Experience. Good acoustics. Very expensive drinks and food.
C.Was attending the Flight Centre travel expo. The venue was simple, not overcomplicated and not hiding behind loads of staging. If you were there to book holiday then you got what you went for. Great day 👍
G.Every time I come here it's different amazing and warm. The sound is perfect, the staff are always on point, acting and looking professional. Plenty of parking and heaps of exit/entry points. Mint Place to bring the family.
Go Rams Go
B.Saw Wu Tang, staff & venue were great. Drink prices & range pretty good - drinks were less than $10 for generic whiskey dry or with coke etc. They served quickly which reduced queues. GA standing tickets the crowd were all dancing, up in the stands people remained seated throughout which I thought catered to everyone's style. The sound was pretty good esp bass but definitely not the best mixing of audio as vocals should be louder at some points. Overall great venue and would return in future.
w.Wicked venue for a multitude of events. If it's a concert or basketball it has you covered for a good time. With easy parking and bus routes close you can make a night of it.
L.Great wheelchair parking available near the entrance. A wheelchair is available to borrow for those that find walking diffucult. We had a great time as a family at the expo.
B.Went for Lego show. Lots of parking. Big building. Can't fault it.
D.A great event venue for Christchurch. I went to watch netball and really enjoyed the vibe and the sport on show. The staff were clearly well trained and were friendly, helpful and professional. I'd recommend going to any event their.

K.How can the venue operators get the temperature so wrong? It gets so stuffy so quickly. Can't wait for the convention centre!
B.Seats were a bit cramped, especially for large people. Interval food options were relatively limited. Toilet facilities were nice and clean. Staff and event security very friendly. As with any big event, the after show traffic was a nightmare. An alternate strategy could be called for.
C.Great place only thing I don't like is price of food and drink expenses
I.There was a home show on the ground floor of this arena when I was there. It is a ideal place for shows and other large community events. Plenty of parking.
s.Spacious arena can hold concerts, exhibition, and shows. Ample parking outside uncovered. Within walking distance to the bus stop, main entrance located near the carpark, there are back entrance for staff.
J.Christchurch's goto arena for just about every big act! A very flexible and versatile space suited to massive concerts, shows and markets. There's plenty of parking on site but this would fill up quickly if there's a big event on. Food and beverages can be purchased on-site (for a premium of course). That said, plenty of great memories can be made here.

P.Went to home show. Plenty of variety, so many different displays something for everyone. Very well set out. Good selection of food and drinks available.
A.Known locally as 'the horney' this venue offers multiple variations for different entertainment opportunities. Has it own food area and bars at different levels. Everything from concerts, sports events including basketball and roller derby and even can be converted to a ice rink. Plenty of parking with an assortment of bars and restaurants near by. Food and beverages are way overpriced.

R.The complex was perfect for the event! (Disney on ice), with plenty of parking. The staff (parking wardens and roaming customer help staff were absolutely friendly and helpful. Thanks for the awesome experience.

M.Awesome Arena, with plenty of parking and easy access. The Arena itself is fairly large for an indoor Arena, listed as the second biggest in NZ. It caters for plenty of big name music artists making for a great day/night out. Alcohol is served here, and there are public restrooms also as you would expect. Overall a great Arena for Christchurch, and for NZ in general.
N.Great as a sports stadium. Not so much for shows. Acoustics are very average. Eg Bob Dylan and Michael McIntyre (I can't BELIEVE I used those two names in the same sentence!)
W.I was impressed with the parking. Was so easy considering there were events at Horncastle Arena and the Stadium next door. A great show from the Harlem Globetrotters!
K.Indoor arena that can accommodate more than 8000 people in Addington. The seats are too near to each other and the aisles are too narrow to walk through. Large outdoor parking area but the venue needs traffic marshals to guide traffic when there are combined concert and rugby game. Christchurch deserves a better indoor arena.

A.Lots of parking, good views from where we were sitting too the stage, also had big screens up so you could see what was happening on stage..helpful staff outside directing cars in.. just a little wait to leave the carpark to head home..really enjoyed our time there..the seats are hard too sit on if you are there for a long time..but overall very good
B.This is a good indoor multipurpose arena where events can be held under cover. There are plenty of plastic seats on the upper level which is not that comfortable. The arena is good for watching shows and concerts. The ground floor can be used for exhibitions and events, such as Lego exhibition, Travel Expo, building exhibition, graduation ceremonies and many more. Armageddon Expo is held here every year 😁.
There is a ventilation system that pumps fresh air while extracting carbon dioxide. It is hidden high on the ceiling and it also keeps the arena temperature constant (i.e. Nice, warm and cosy).
There are plenty of parking spaces available. However, due to the close proximity to the AMI stadium and Addington Raceway, the parking area becomes a premium and difficult to find when there are two events happening at once 😕.

F.Only criticism is the messed up seating arrangements and lack of aisles... but I guess that's arena seating!

C.Saw Rag N Bone man here in April and the sound quality here is so much better than at the Dunedin Forayrh Barr stadium where I saw Ed Sheeran.
The food and drink options for concerts include basics like soft drinks beer wine. Pies. Chips. Wraps.
The car park is a good size here but there is public bus the Orange line that stops very close to the arena as a better option.
R.Attended the pink Floyd experience recently. The audio acoustics are hit and miss sometimes. Can differ greatly depending on where you are in the arena. The staff they contract out for bar and food service are young and incredibly slow. A 15 minute intermission will be swallowed by waiting in a queue

P.Good sport venue, good facilities and parking, but not so good music venue, and people don't like to stay on afterwards. It's a bit of an island in a sea of asphalt: it needs art work.

R.Great location for Synthony. The sound, lighting and AV in a large space was next level.

J.I was there for the Flight Centre Travel Expo. Loads of parking and location wise its easy to get to for me. It's a good venue for exhibitions like these.
I.Lots of parking. Food not cheap but for this type of big concert venue it could have been worse. Lacking casual seating areas while waiting for concert.
M.Fantastic venue. Great game of netball. NZ 53 v Aus 52. Great promotion. .Toffee nose didnt want to give Cadbury chocolate away. Why....

B.Definitely worth seeing. The seats can retract to what ever size you want them to. Not the best place for a performance but great for sports, events or competitions.

R.Been there many times for various shows. Parking has always been easy and the venue is roomy and easy to find your way around.
J.In a central location with good parking. Hospitality now pretty good. Good sound. Stalls seating rather basic but it has to be moved so that is inevitable.
A.Centrally located and way approach via public transport, plenty of parking
B.Great burgers here, and a fantastic range of beer. Highly recommend
O.Great show (Mrs Brown's Boys). Venue good but seat layout better suited to sports events than stage shows.
D.The Bony M concert was very disappointing.I did not pay to listen to disco music for one hour.
Horncastle Arena is a great venue when you have artists who give a solid performance.

C.Not a huge arena, bought ticket for Disney on ice for the first row of the furthest zone, can still watch the show clearly. Plenty of parking spaces. As usual, prices for snacks and beverages are much higher.
