C.An excellent day out. Listen and watch the Pipe Bands, Highland Dancers, Heavies and the Tug of War competitions. Stroll around the area and enjoy the stalls and all the different food vendors. So much to see and do. Bring the sunscreen and a coat. The day can change and it's often quite different to the weather in Christchurch

K.Very well organized. Plenty of parking. Loads of volunteers helping in all areas. Lots of fun for kids with heaps of things to have a go at. Really good variety of activities for everyone to watch and enjoy.
A.Great event with a number of positives. Grand selection of catering, irn bru available chilled and at a reasonable price. Heaps of entertainment for the children with the opportunity to try caber tossing, shot putt and others. There's a competitive tug of war to watch. Highland dancers and pipe bands to entertain and you can watch the strong men chuck heavy things about with a style. Adequate loo provisioning and free sunblock plus copious and well marshaled (free) parking. A marvelous family day out
J.Great fun - loads of entertainment and things to try for adults and kids. Lots of interesting stalls, a wide variety of food to purchase. Enjoyed watching the caber and sheaf toss.
r.Great stalls. About 100. Plenty of food choices. Dancing, tug of war, the heavy weight games, pipe bands, other competitions plus have a go yourself. Something for everyone.

I played bagpipes there today with the City of Christchurch Highland Pipe band.

D.If there was a 100 then i would score that.Have been attending for 6 years.released my son there in the forest and each year we toast a dram to him.His brother and I released him to the pipers playing Scotland the Brave.This was 5 years ago.The Heavies are.my forever favourites.I always do several walks around to make sure I see it all
The incredible work that goes into all the organisation of this one terrific day is unbelievable.I travel from Upper Hutt now and for as long as I am able will continue to do so.in fact I have made a date with a person we took along with us this year (shes 88) for the 10th anniversary.Cant wait!!!!

T.Worth a visit. Nice friendly crowds. Whisky stall. Medieval battles and good food. Watch Scottish country dancing and caber tossing.
S.Hororata night glow, outstanding, went for a good length of time, and the band at the end was outstanding. A brilliantly ran event with good traffic control too.
