Hosts we're super accommodating when our travel situation changed. Facilities were good. Clean and comfy. Will definitely consider staying again when in Dunedin.

What a find. An assortment of accomadation options to chose from. Open space with surrounding bush and short walking tracks along side a bubbling brook. Clean and quiet and yet 5 minutes from the one way system into Dunedin, North side.

We stayed on a powered site at the campground. Reslly lovely clean facilities. Nice hot showers you don't pay extra for! Bonus. And the staff were lovely friendly and helpful 😊

Great place, great prices, nice owners, good facilities, free unlimited fibre 5ghz wifi, very clean, close to town, even closer to good student bars and supermarket. Lots of nearby hiking trails including Flagstaff, Swampy Summit, & into the Silverpeaks. Highly recommended.

Great hosts and lovely, well-cared for and clean facilities. This Holiday Park is nestled in a lovely valley with stream, birds and bush surrounds, will definitely be back.

Lovely quaint holiday park with pretty boundary stream and surrounded by trees. Friendly, helpful staff and great facilities.

Will definitely come back here again. All facilities, a fireplace in common room, which is a great place to meet people. Friendly staff, clean facility, it helps when people who stay here clean up after themselves with the provided kitchen gear (thanks :)) and toilet brush. A nearby walk takes you to the town's reservoir, worth a visit :) and a neat little picnic/ reading spot up another pathway next to a cliff wall and tall trees - bring a blanket

Super friendly owner, even helped us to print tickets for an event. Tent spot is not big but facilities are great and a lot of space inside. Would recommend this place. Friendly, clean, central, fair priced.

Absolutely loved staying here beautiful walk track off the grounds and atmosphere was lovely. So clean and unit was brilliant couldn't fault our stay. So friendly and welcoming son loved the playground. Perfection.

Stayed in the 1 bedroom cabin. Very warm, wooden walls provided a really neat aesthetic. Well furnished with heaters and a comfortable bed.

Cabin 8 was excellent for our stay. Warm and comfortable.

Good sized sites on gravel, some with grass areas and picnic tables. Premium spots are the ones backing onto the Ross Creek babbling by! Facilities are clean and very well maintained. Free hot showers with good pressure. Cure wee kids play area. Adjacent to some nice local walks and am easy drive to town.

Amazing staff, always greeted with a smile and a wave. Was in a tough spot and the lovely owners and workers here have not only provided me with a cozy cabin for the last week and with a few days to go, but I highly recommend! Great facilities too, for kids and adults alike!

Handy to town and in a quiet, picturesque setting. Good facilities and excellent wifi. Friendly staff. I booked a cabin which was basic but comfortable. Highly recommended.

Lovely clean cabins, had everything we needed. There is also a communual lounge with fire, pool table etc, apparently it is a 8 minute walk to glow worm caves, sadly it was torrential rain when we stayed so didnt go. Would definitely stay again, may come back in the summer just for the caves. Beautiful river and bush around camp.

Quite possibly the best camping ground I have stayed in. Simply superb. Lovely stream runs around the ring of the ground and all amenities are clean and well stocked. Brilliant, tranquil location and very attentive and friendly staff. Am happy to highly recommend.

The kitchen is clean and the lounge is very spacious, kids enjoy the table tennis :-) The staff are kind and friendly, and there is a very good wifi connection. Lovely place to stay in Dunedin!

Leith river just behind the camping ground. Private entrance to Ross Creek Scenic Walk. Quiet area, although the crowd come in after 7pm. Nice shower & toilet area. Need to improve the gray water dumping area, the gray water pipe are on the driver side and had difficulty reaching the dumping hole. Need to drive very near to the building.

Quite a good place to stay for one night. The facilities are clean, toilets and showers are excellent. Some people seem to be living in the small houses or what ever they are. So there were some more activity than usual in the evening in terms of guests coming and such. The city is downhill quite a bit away so either drive or leave in good time. Nothing spectacular so thats why this place gets 4 stars.

Choose this park because of the scenic walkway to see glowworm, but I have no time for it. Just stay 1 night here, full equipped kitchen, warm dining areas with playing area, and TV room. Also, toilets and showers is accessible thru dining area.

Facilities were pretty clean and staff were easy to communicate with. The campground was alright, no complaints.

It says no trespassing, but I did cause I got lost. So I'm giving them a 5 star cuz I feel bad and looks like a nice campground.

When we arrived here we were a bit concerned as to whether there was going to be room. It was bank holiday and also Ed Sheeren was playing. Luckily there was space. It is a small campsite, and the pitches are small and you are parking on gravel. The showers and toilets were good. The kitchen was good, as was the dining / sitting room which was well heated.

Small camping ground though close to town. Ablutions clean. We booked months ahead for 3 nights. Required 2 sites as we were travelling with family. 2 caravans 1 with 2 dogs. When we arrived we were put onto 2 sites, small and on gravel. We inquired about other vacant sites which were nicer but to no avail. They were used by 1 nighters. The owner was brusque and not at all accommodating. Although the camp allows dogs they are not expected to relieve themselves anywhere within the camp. Not the best camp we have stayed at in any stretch of the imagination.

We enjoyed our stay in this holiday park a lot, though it's a bit pricey if you're just with your tent. You get 250 MB of internet every 24 hours. There is a spacious lounge, a separated TV room and an equipped kitchen. There are only a couple toilets and showers for the camp so sometimes you'll queue in the morning.

Loved the fact that it has a stream at the back and the sound of the water made is perfect addition to the nice scenery near the communal kitchen. We were on our 10day journey on motorhome touring the south islands and this holiday park is one of the best that we have experienced. Eventhough it was a little bit far from the city center, there is a bus service and you can also easily call a cab but at a pricey fare. Due to the off-season, there were only 3 units being occupied including ours. The cool pool table and the mini library will occupy most of the time spent there. The down side is that the communal kitchen is a little bit on the small side with only 2 sinks.

Good value for money. Great BBQ area at no extra charge. Nice staff. Easy walk to beach. Downside No storage space for your clothes they cram the room with as many beds as they can. TV up near ceiling. No remote. TV came out of the Ark. Wi fi rubbish keeps cutting out.

Staff members are friendly and helpful. If you like to see glow worms, make sure you ask the staff members about them on your arrival - it's nearby, but as you can't use lights and have to be at night, it's better to familiarise the route ahead of time. Kitchen are well equipped, as well as the entertainment and dining area. Shower & toilet although has been modernised, the number are very-very limited. During holiday season the queue can be ridiculously long. Also be aware that when they say cabin, it actually IS a cabin.

Nice quiet place to stop in a really peaceful setting by the stream. Has camp and caravan sites as well. Friendly owners who have always gone the extra mile for us when we have stayed. Really good place to stopover when driving north to get out of town easily when leaving early in the morning.

Still halfway through 1 week stay. Motel offers same comfort as places we stayed at twice the price. Very clean. Only thing that stops a 5star is parking in front of office units rather tight and needs heater in bathroom. But we will definitely stay here in future

Great place to stay! The owner is friendly and great to deal with and prices are good. Facilities are clean, as is the camp ground itself. Nice and quiet too. Highly recommended, we will definitely be back and will be recommending to others!

Very clean and comfortable. 10 Adults 1 child, 2 who were Senior Citizens and Management were so helpful making sure our Accommodation met our needs. Highly recommend

What can I say, what an awesome 👍 facilities. Nearly finished renovation. Great Hospitality from John, made it a wonderful time for the kid's, one of those memories the kid's will remember. Highly recommend it to anyone out there looking for a place to stay in Dunedin at the Leith Valley Touring Park. Keep up the great work guy's 👍.

Lovely hosts, really good facilities with a nice spacious heated lounge. The babble of the Leith River near the camper van

Stayed for a night, had everything you need in a campsite. Complimentary wifi (1GB per connection), kitchen, dump, fresh water, toilets and showers. However the toilet and shower block is too small. Boasting being so close to the city area, I can't understand why there's only 3 showers available, queues form even on off-peak times in winter. Definately needs an upgrade. Kitchen was clean and had enough utensils for everyone to cook and clean up (However only 2 stoves), dining area was nice and cosy - with a fireplace, table tennis, pool table and a tv room. Owner seemed nice enough and gave regular tips about the campground. Gravel parking spots for campervans much appreciated (particularly when wet), and power and fresh water available at each spot.

Great value budget accommodation! A full kitchen for cooking, games area and playground for the kids. And is within walking distance to Dunedin centre.

I stayed here with my mom in our campervan and we had a wonderful time. The lady at the desk even let us choose our spot out of some spots available. The lady gave good tips about Dunedin and about the possibility to see some glow worms a very short walk away from the park and we did see them! I was using the common room for a while in de evening, the caretaker walk around and putting lights out, he might've expected me to leave but I did not. He asked me to mind that there are people staying above the common room and if I could turn of the light when I would leave (I think he did realize I was just sitting there quietly with my earplugs in haha), I said it wouldn't be long and that I will turn the lights of when I left, no problem. The facilities were nice and clean, even a nice fire in de common room, was good because it was cold outside. We stayed for two nights around the end of april and we did not notice any problems. Think of it was even 3 nights, because it really was nice that it is very close to Dunedin but just far away out to feel like you were out of the city. From here it's an easy drive to the city to walk around and see the beautiful street art, visit the cadbury chocolate factory or the powefull train station building. Also a nice idea is to drive to the botanical gardens, beside the beautiful gardens they have a lot of different birds there! After seeing other reviews I do find it concerning that multiple people say they got robbed of money for 'disturbing' other guests. I am pretty sure that is not legal at all and wonder if they went to their bank or even to the police? Only if people steal or break property (still they cannot just take it out of the account with no warning) their could be extra payment involved ... I think I'm glad I did not read about this before we were there, would've probably not stayed here and would've been a shame because it's a nice place.

It had everything you could possibly ask for at a reasonable price, free wifi, free showers, free kitchen, washing, vending machine and a fireplace in the dining area. Only criticism is there aren't enough kitchen or bathroom facilities here for the amount of people that they cram in. We stayed dead in the off season and had to wait half an hour for a shower.

Quaint little holiday park, clean facilities with a lovely stream out back. We were in a motorhome and just need a powered site that was positioned along the stream. We took a walk out the back along the stream and found small rock faces with glow worms as recommended by the owner. Kids loved doing a spooky night walk and got a buzz from trying to find the glow worms.

Fabulous location with the sound of the river a perfect accompaniment. Beautiful bush adjacent with great walking track. The kids ❤❤❤'d the ride on mower and the rest of the play ground. Only 45 min easy walk to Forsyth Barr Stadium (we went to Ed Sheeran) much better to walk than be caught in traffic.

We stayed 2 nights i would recommend to anyone to stay at camp very friendly staff easy to talk to very clean and quite camping ground.

Disappointed linen not included with deluxe cabin hire - many other similar camps offer linen included for the price range paid. Toilet,shower,TV room quite some distance from cabin and facilities other than shower,toilet were locked up at 10pm. Expect a busy touring park....targeted more at campervans than tents/cabins/motels. Compact camp but peaceful setting....shame layout poorly thought out with no set areas for cabins/tents/vans.

Not so great for campers in the middle of winter when it's sub-zero outside!! Stopped for an overnight stay in our campervan. We were given a site next to the valley and we feel that this added an extra chill to our stay. It was far too cold (-5 degrees) to explore the area so I probably haven't experienced the park to its fullest potential. Of what I have seen, the facilities for campers, such as the kitchen, toilets/showers, and common lounge/games area are clean but outdated and minimal. The biggest downfall for me was that, unlike the other holiday parks I'd been to, the shower room was cold with no heating and cold draft from the open windows; and the basins only have push down taps that are not only hard to push down but have to be held down to keep the water flowing - trying to wash your face using one hand and taking triple the time kinda defeats the whole purpose of saving water! Saying that, the shower booth was one of the best I've come across with real STRONG HOT water and stainless steel bottom that gives it a clean feel. The other major issue we had was that our allocated freshwater tap (and many others around us) and the common water tap by the dump station were frozen and didn't run water!! And, last but not least, no free wi-fi. This wasn't a big deal for me but I have enjoyed having those small allowances of 1 hour or 100mb at the other holiday parks. Overall, it's close to the town and I'm sure it would've made an excellent camping stay in summer having the valley as the backdrop, but unfortunately it didn't work for us this time in the (literally) freezing cold winter!

Really enjoyed my stay here. New owner is absolutely lovely to talk to. There was free wifi. Cabin I stayed in was very clean and had all the essentials. Did a short walk at night behind the park to see some glowworms

This is a classic older style of camp ground. With a few modern touches. Very handy to the city too.

This was a pleasant holiday park with excellent management and facilities. Very close to the main city centre, so can walk down for lunch/dinner/supplies etc. Not out in the wilderness which was what I was looking for but that doesn't take the merit away from the campsite itself. Had a great night here :)

Reasonable campground in Christchurch. Well organized, but spots are a bit small. WiFi, not very fast, but unlimited.
