Kayaks are the way to experience this river, and the NZWA team will give you are trip to remember! Definitely worth getting the photos and videos as its a trip you want to relive. J.Recently did a two day whitewater course on the Kaituna with Rob.
These guys have all the gear and the idea. They even customised a kayak to fit my rather large legs into, so don't worry if your peaking over 190cm. Rob was very knowledgeable and patient in his teaching. I really enjoyed my time on the river with them and never felt that I was in danger or being put out of my depth.
Both Sam and Rob were also very importantly good for a beer and a yarn at the end of the day.
D.The NZWA team were all really experienced kayaker, fun and relaxed vibes, didn't feel as though we were on a time limit at all.
Really personal experience, exciting, action packed adventure. I'd recommend NZWA to anyone looking for a thrill.
