High quality playing surfaces and a great spot to simply enjoy the consistent green open space. The All Blacks have trained here a number of times as their local ground of choice. Caters to a full athletics track, two full cricket wickets, an artificial turf, cricket nets and athletic fields sports. Grandstand can cater to around 600 seated under cover and few more in the concrete slab seats below.

RED HOT SUMMER TUESDAY 5 FEBRUARY / LOWER HUTT / HUTT REC A great place for a concert in the middle of Lower Hutt. A well run event & may there be many more.

Great turf. Home ground so no it well. Quite sand based. Seldom need gum boots even in the depths of rugby season. Near the pool. If you are sore go for a spa afterwards.

An excellent Rugby ground that is likely as good if not better than the one at Sky Stadium.

We love this park in the summer, the recent addition of the astro turf, means we can play most sports in most weather. The park is so well maintained (I'd rate it the best free access park in Wellington) the groundskeeper needs some sort of official recognition. If althetics takes your fancy there is sealed long jump puts and a marked running track. And 3 throwing circles. Take a ball or sit in shade under the perimeter trees.

Hutt Rec Astro turf great facility all year round for sports. Sportzone runs a seasonal social soccer competition for Adults and Juniors. Great organizers, lovely family atmosphere.

It's a green recreational space for playing rugby or cricket. The Hutt Rec' is also set up for hockey as there is an astro turfed space fenced off for this purpose. The groundsman has been working for the LHCC for over 20 years and is quite a character. An accolade must be given to him for keeping such a well kempt playing surface all year round.
