What an experience. Darren did a great job getting rid of any nerves and providing instructions, and it was great fun! You don’t need to go to Queenstown when you have this around Welly

Incredible experience! I'm not a huge adrenaline junkie, but really enjoyed myself 'flying by wire'. Really fun experience and a beautiful location in the valley a few minutes walk from the Paekakariki town/shops. Matt was super friendly! Would definitely reccommend the experience for yourself, or as a gift for a friend or loved one.

What a fantastic adventure!! Daz has only owned the business since just before Christmas, though he worked there a long time ago. It's a lovely wee track up some maintained steps and along paths that are great for photos. When you get there the nerves kick in but the view is wonderful and Daz talks you through everything step by step, then he kindly does it again when you are securely tucked in with a good strong 5 point harness, just in case, like me you were so nervous when you first got there you only thought you listened! He guides you along the way, even from the ground and even for those scared of heights, like myself, it is amazing and worth every second of being up there! Daz was great to talk to and we even got some fishing tips since we weren't from the area. My partner and I give it 5 stars and were exhilarated when we came back down, buzzing and full of adrenaline. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is looking for a bit of adventure and to #dosomethingnewnewzealand a definite bucket list tick!!

The operator has quit and the actual owner is having trouble getting website control back. I am pending voucher refunds via treatme (who are still selling them and I have told them this). I believe the owner is working to reestablish with a new operator come summer. I'm keeping my stars neutral as the ride is great, but the business is having some issues. This review is to share some info I know of. Good luck to them.

Previous owner has definitely given the place a bad rep but the new owner and operator Darren was excellent. We had an absolute blast thank you so much we will definitely be back :).

Amazing! Hidden gem. My son really enjoyed the flight today. As per other reviews park at the old gas station and then it's a 10 minute walk up the canyon. Views are amazing too!

Purchased as a gift off group-on for my partner an our two older kids (age restriction 15yrs) 🔥🔥ALL ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!🔥🔥 🤔🎁✈️✅🙋‍♀️ So much so they went again will def go again in the near future🤘💥 Bout a 15min walk to the canyon sight on a slight incline & with beautifully scenic veiws to enjoy on the way up & down😍 Our Guide was awesome💥super friendly 😎 & straightforward with instructions 👍 We Would all highly recommend Fly By Wire to all & EVERYONE & definitely look forward to going back 💯✅🔥✈️🔥✅💯👌👍

This has to be one of the best adrenaline filled experiences in new zealand and it's unlike any of the others I've done. Swinging about in a plane thing over a beautiful canyon - what's not to love?! The guy who worked there was really nice and friendly too, would really recommend!

Bought this for my husbands birthday off Grabone. He loved it, said it was a real buzz and really exhilarating. There were a few people before us and they all thoroughly enjoyed it too. Matt who runs it was really great to deal with as well. Really recommend for something totally different and great fun. Side note, there’s about a ten minute walk to get there and that’s got its own charm with a stream running alongside and a little waterfall.
