Reviews of Sticky Forest
We went for a hike at Sticky Forest and, at first, the maps led us to a residential area for parking. Luckily, a kind local stopped to show us the correct parking spot – such a helpful gesture!
Once on the trail, everything was perfect. The weather was ideal, the path was well-maintained, and the views along the way were absolutely magnificent. It’s not a difficult trail, making it an easy and enjoyable hike for all levels. Highly recommend Sticky Forest for anyone looking for a beautiful and accessible outdoor adventure!
Some very nice trails in here! Not much for the absolute beginner but for riders looking for more there is plenty for a few days entertainment! Watch the jumps though as they are unforgiving if you come up short.
Went through a walk here a week or so back. A lovely peaceful place wyth plenty of options for walks or mountain biking of all levels. It is a dog off leash area and the dogs all love it too! If you go down the steep side you can get an amazing view up lake wanaka, the arm and the inlet. Next time I think I'll bike it!
This is such a good Mountain Bike Park! Plenty to keep novice and experienced riders happy for a couple of days. Oh yeah - and great views!
Nice area for some fun family MTB’ing, but generally pretty short runs (less than 500m). Easy to access from central Wanaka, great to link in with some other gravel trails in the area.
Good for mountain biking - good flowy techy trails
NOTE: THIS IS NOT A ENTRANCE- you need to go to the Sticky Forest Car Park.
Perhaps before all the new buildings went up you could enter here. Car Park about 4 minutes away.
Good riding and tracks, it's just that I found following the map and trail markers more difficult than I think they need to be. The ones I rode had hit and miss signs stating their name. The map is marked with numbers and symbols denoting ride direction. I just think that the track signs could also have their name and number and whether it is no entry, two way and it's grade. Possibly even colour code so non locals would no trail grades.
