I enrolled in one of the first two-week, live-in IRANZ courses back in 2002 as a rugby coach of 10 years. Laurie Mains was the facilitator and I worked alongside a number of international coaches and players. I was privileged to spend one whole day with ex All Black Dave Loveridge working on the half back position. There were also a number of other ex All Blacks taking different positions. It was an excellent course and what I took away from it was, as Laurie Mains said to me, “If you think a little change in strategy or tactics might work for you, try it!”
