I have to been to many sports events at sky stadium . The atmosphere is always awesome when there is a ALL White's game all Wellington Phoenix game , not so much when there is a rugby game on . The beer selection at main bar is not bad but prices are to expensive and prices of food are really bad . The selection of food if your a vegetarian is bad .Great place for sports events , concerts or special events . Home to Wellington Rugby , Hurricanes and Phoenix Football . The seating is covered and the concourse easy to navigate for food , beverages or merchandise on sports days . Special event day are great with displays on the main concourse . Many great lounges for warmth and a different variety of food . Parking on the streets surrounding the stadium is handy as well as the proximity to wellington central rail station . Taxis or buses nearby and 15 minutes walk to the central city .March2021 : easy walk up to here from town . Have your bags ready for inspection and tickets for scanning , all on board , and you'll be through the bars .. Easy as that . The tunnels are well signed , follow your nose , if you miss your turn off , you'll end up back at the start ... Good night with our group , split fan group , made it better . 1 of us went away not so happy FYI ... it will always be the CAKETIN

The Sky Stadium is a great place to spend an afternoon watching your favourite team play or attending a concert. There is parking available, which is a bit pricey but it's close and secure. The staff are friendly and accommodating when asking for directions. All in all its a great experience on a nice day.

The best priced parking for a work day within the city that I’m aware of. Can be easily accessed, but it’s sometimes very busy and it might take a while to find a vacant spot.

Beervana vibe was amazing. Or maybe I was a bit pickled. Either way it was a great time, some good beers and nice food. Great day in the external workshop.

Attended the 2021 Armageddon Expo Heaps of people Heaps of collectible to choose from My 1st time to attend. Just purchase some Harry Potter wand, 7 magic dragon balls Some posters. Next time need to add some harry potter collections, hermiones wand, dumbledore etc.

March2021: easy walk up to here from town. Have your bags ready for inspection and tickets for scanning, all on board, and you'll be through the bars.. Easy as that. The tunnels are well signed, follow your nose, if you miss your turn off, you'll end up back at the start... Good night with our group, split fan group, made it better. 1 of us went away not so happy 😭😂.. FYI... it will always be the CAKETIN ❤️

This was a great place to setup on my first stage job at Eminem although after flying in from Australia that swirling wind is really cold. Was a great place for a concert and the facilities are world class. Cant wait to come back next season!

The face-lift they have done on the stadium in the last couple years has given a fresh lift to a great stadium. Along with the new food and drink vendors. Prices have Def gone up. Hurricanes..

Had an amazing experience watching an ODI cricket match at Westpac Stadium (Wellington Regional Stadium) earlier this year. The stadium resembled a tin from the outside and for this reason, it is also known as 'The Cake Tin'. The event was well-managed. Regulation of the spectators into and out of the stadium was done in an orderly manner. During entry into the stadium, our bags were checked. Outside each aisle, there were stalls selling eatables and there were also water fountains where we could fill water in our bottles for free. The view of the entire ground with its bright yellow seats was spectacular, both in the afternoon sun as well as under the floodlights. I could clearly witness the action at the center without any obstruction. Atmosphere in the stadium was lively though a few stands were empty. Though the stadium is a bit away from the city centre, most of the crowd were seen to be walking back to Wellington city centre. The stadium is also well connected by trains to the Hutt Valley region.

I enjoy my experience there we watched one of the hurricane games ages ago though big stadium. Photos ⬇️

Attended eminem concert here - location great but vip tickets included being able to go back to dedicated bar for drinks and no queues for food/drink/toilet - but our seats were the other end of the stadium- so no way we could use these facilities. VIP area very well run, food was fantastic and very attentive staff.

Really good conference venue. Wonderful staff and all the bells and whistles as far as facilities and equipment are concerned. Would definitely use this venue again.

Totally loved the lions experience which why I gave it a 5 however small points cubicals instead of urinals is plain dumb. One entrance and exit is stupid how are you meant to get out early in the event of fire or major incident. There should be doors to the concourse every 25m this them means it won't take 30 minutes to get out of the ground. Other than that awesome

Great stadium! It holds Hurricanes, Wellington Phoenix and sometimes All Blacks games. I was able to watch two Hurricanes games and a Allblacks-Australia game and it was a well-worth experience.

Had an awesome experience at Westpac when I visited. The transport links into the stadium are good and it is only a short walk back into the city. The facilities are great and the view from most seating to the pitch is great. One of the better stadiums I have been to.

Amazing rugby match All blacks and South Africa team. Nice place to watch rugby matches. Apparently the only Day Night stadium in Wellington. Clean place with good chairs around. It can accomodate a huge crowd with ample parking space.

This Stadium is probably one of the best ive ever been to. Unfortunetly there were a a group of "illegal Smokers" coming up to the away supporters bay and annoying the away fans. The security got tight when i stepped in but all in all amazing atmosphere has wheelchair access and is a beautiful stadium

Pretty good venue. I have been there once for the Queen + Adam Lambert concert in 2020. No complaints.

Great stadium! Went to watch Eminem rapture 2019 concert. Lots of places to buy food and drink. Toilets were everywhere. Exiting the stadium didnt take too long. Had a great time!

The atmosphere here is amazing especially when watching the sun set over the city while a game of rugby is on.

Great to get to my first international sporting event in over a year! Go the Blackcaps!!! Wellington weather turned on its charm!!!

I have attended many events here & always a great time everytime! Recent was the Armaggedon Expo, it was very cold, but that was just bad timing & the fact it was winter. This venue works well for events like Armageddon & the Food show to keep the public flowing through. With plenty of options for outside stages & plenty of indoor function rooms.

Went on the spur of the moment to watch a game amongst 2 teams that none of us actually support. It is a fantastic venue with easy access both in and out. Going out after the game was a doddle for most people as it is within easy walking distance to Wellingtons amazing train service. The stadium is well set out and seating is such that you can easily see all aspects of the field.

The Stadium hosts the Hurricanes in Super Rugby, Wellington Phoenix in the A-League, Wellington Lions in Mitre 10 Cup, as well as NZ national teams like the All Blacks and Blackcaps. Concerts in recent years include Queen and Adam Lambert, Eminem, Guns n Roses. There are also exhibitions like Armageddon, Home and Garden, the Food Show and other events like the Wellington Marathon. The Members Club provides access to all sporting events and has three lounges with a wider range of catering options than the main concourse.

Food is rubbish (although better than it was), service is bad and entry prices are high. Atmosphere can be electric when it's full, so sellout internationals are worth it (although for cricket it's rarely a good cricket pitch for batting). Otherwise OK. Beervana is good here.

A visit to Armageddon Expo 1/04/2018 at Wellington stadium on a beautiful sunny Sunday, worth the time and money.

Very nice wet night but good result for Warriors. 14,000 crowd good turn out to support.

they should change the name back to Westpac because Sky stadium doesn't roll off the tongue as nicely. the donuts are good though

A great place to have events such as Armageddon. Nice memories there in the past 5 years.

Having my Security team visit and check out the facility areas in and out of the stadium an awesome experience as they will soon have an opportunity too work along side with Red Badge and for most of them this will be there first time as security officers.giving them a life time opportunity.

The concert was incredible however getting in and out of the stadium was a mess. Over 64000 people and one entrance and exit made it a rather difficult and long process. While lining up there should have been barriers or at the very least painted lines to stop confusion of which line you were supposed to be in. Could have been alot better organized. The sound where we were (in the middle of the feild) however was great and we could still see the stage and the screens.

Grreeeeat venue for a concert! Staff very efficient, friendly, sounds quality was good. Just have to be patient to purchase food and drinks when busy.

Great stadium for sports and concerts. The shape keeps guests close to the action. What lets it down is the wait for food. Last weekend at Six60, we had to queue for 45mins for some pretty basic food. Stadium management need to work on improving this.

Had a great day out here, Wellington fans are the best bunch of supporter's ever.

If you are watching a game after 5pm rain/shine, pack warm clothes, a snack bag each for the kids. No1 wants to spend $5 per item at the food places there, if you are seriously starving, the only decent thing to buy are the dogs as you enter @ $10.00ea. There are food monitor ppl so the wait time throughout is not as bad anymore (FYI.. The fish and chips as well as the coffee sold are disgusting). There is a lot more security now, which is a bonus, last year was an overdose of drunk ppl at the games.

Go for the game but don't have the buffet in the members stand on top level.

I went to the Home and Garden shoew and it was great. Great choice of food, stall owners were pro active but not "in your face"! An hour n half there was worth it, time literally flew by. Thankfully the toilets were clean and easily accessible!

Close to town and good for watching some rugby, would get five stars if it was square. The 'Cake Tin' is the fabled location where John Eales kicked a sensational late penalty goal in 2000 to give the Wallabies a 24-23 win to draw the series 1-all and retain the trophy.

2021 Beervana event. The penultimate craft beer expo for Australasia. Mind you Australians don't know about good craft beer.

Good stadium, heaps of room and ok food though a bit expensive. It's nice entry very fast and nice people at the gates.

The atmosphere for the Wellington Phoenix game was just splendid, the food there was delicious and getting there was not a problem at all

Stadium was awesome! The music and the crowd experience fantastic! The ONLY lets down is the - Food and alcohol was absolutely too expensive!!!! Alcohol was luke warm & there was not much variety of food! Would also like to see LIVE MUSIC introduced as well - RATING: 4💥

Was in Hurricanes members lounge and staff were welcoming and friendly. Bar and food service was quick and efficient food range was very good and tasty.

Experienced my very first rugby game. Rather interesting, and although the home team lost, it was a fun evening's entertainment.

Easy to get to, easy parking and a great experience with The Hurricanes Club Day. The stadium provided a great venue for the family and when it rained we were glad we had chosen the section with the overhang! Make sure you have a jacket and hat for the kids if you are going to watch Rugby. The wind can be fierce!

A normal stadium, great for concerts and to watch the rugby. A bit of a walk from the train station to the main entrances.

It's a stadium - hard to rate but it has pretty good parking and excellent access to train station. It's clean and depending on who is catering for the event can have great food & drink options but often its just OK. Of course its expensive either way. But hey if your team wins or the concert is great then we just suck it up and tick it off the bucket list. Enjoy

God seats apart from people going up and down the stairs most of the night standing in the way. Wellington Phoenix were awesome and a brilliant night of footy.

watched AC-DC here in December last year easy entry great seating clean toilets and leaving with a packed out crowd was good will most deff go to watch a concert their again

Small nice clean Stadium, you aren't allowed to introduce bottles, food or Umbrellas. Not many snack/food options but nice drinks.

Great game watching hurricanes food was actually nice and not too expensive, wish the had more beer other than craft beer though.

The place was busy but we were able to get around and saw everything that was there my grand daughter enjoyed it free samples is always a good thing

Amazing stadium, not sure the flow of its set up was good for a concert though. Especially after experiencing One Love the week before.

Excellent level of accessibility as rated by Be Accessible. Really handy to town. Great concourse and lots of loos and good and drink options. Good viewing from all seats in the stadium. Gets pretty cold in Wellington when the sun goes down! So bring warm clothes.

Great concert always a good place to catch up with love ones😜 However over the years they still have not got it right. Long queues and stale chips,my suggestion about time they change the catering company. Not to mention the toilets and lack of toilet paper. How hard is it🤔

It's a stadium. Pretty good seats anywhere. Lots of food and toilets.

Was lucky to get into the members lounge. If you went to every match on at the stadium it would be great value. Great view of the pitch and good selection of food. And you're inside in the warm.

My first visit ... and for an All Black game so full capacity crowd. I was impressed at how well people we able to access their seats, the ready availability of food in queues that were processed quickly. Lots of loos for the ladies - a real thumbs up for that!The stadium has a real sense of occasion attached to it. The only negative was a lack of signage as we left offering clarification of the rail access etc.

Good stadium! Fingers crossed there is an event on here that you want to see, because otherwise you probably have no reason to go. Sound quality is all good for concerts, plenty of space to queue outside and they even put portaloos outside for when you are waiting! That's actually pretty cool!

The only Cake Tin stadium in NZ. Situated in the heart of Wellington City. Many memorable events have taken place in this well-designed facility enough to seat over 30,000 odd people.

Is an excellent stadium. Not a bad seat in the house. Very happy with the crowd and result. 3-0.

Hit or miss depending on the event. If you go when it is packed, it's hard to find a better atmosphere. For all other events, the concourse is depressing, cold and empty as well as being poorly serviced. Food options are dreadful but in recent times they are trying new things which is a positive sign. Some truly terrible service at the bars but that is to be expected with casual staff not receiving appropriate training.

Queen and Adam Lambert concert! Amazing!!! Adam Lambert was incredible... his voice is soo beautiful and he performs the songs so well. Brian May and Roger Taylor were so brilliant too .. stage and lighting was fantastic. Loved every minute!

Great place to watch match, enjoy food and drink

Nice enough stadium, good viewing but nothing grand about it. Not too expensive but the food and drinks are NAFF. A real disappointment. Would see bands or sports here. The atmosphere at the All Black's game was jovial and family focused. A few people got very drunk but they weren't a real bother. Away and home fans mixed together which made for a nice but of banter.

Awesome stadium in a central location and when filled up with a passionate crowd it is difficult to match.

Great atmosphere but always remember to wear warm clothes...even in summer...there is always a cool breeze swirling around.

Went to a Hurricanes rugby match. Good simple booking process online beforehand. Ticket pickup point could have been slightly clearer but staff were really helpful and pointed it out. Now you can only bring 1 litre of water in and no other liquids. Well signposted to the seats. Afterwards pretty efficient exit too.

The security was kind enough to let us stop outside for 5 mins and take a few photos.

Gr8 venue that is accessible easily from railway station. Be prepared for a good walk through. The event we attended, logistically, could have had better provisions for those having to walk as alot of elderly attended and wen you are there all day, made departing a challenge.

The atmosphere shared with other sports loving peers, is incredible. Seeing players in person and watching games live, offer a completely different dynamic to watching games on tv. And the Mexican wave, ... never fails to enlighten. If you opt for a seat in the students designated zone, I highly recommend you take headphones, an umbrella and alot of patience. My new learning from the last game I attended, is to find the shortest pair of shorts and put them on paired with the tiniest top I can find and that way I might feel abit more dress appropriate 😅

The Sky Stadium or Cake Tin is a fantastic venue for sport, concert and big shows i.e. Home & Garden Show. Food and beverage are expensive compared to food stalls or restaurants in the cbd area. There are plenty of toilets. Parking can be tricky take public transport instead as it is very close to the Train and Bus Stations.

Fun event going to the food festival was nice and warm and too Mutch food haha but feelt over crowded.

Westpac Stadium is good and all but for events, they just don't have good signage. Super easy to get lost and not know where you're going. Otherwise the space is nice in the arena and the food is great.

Great stadium. Except very slow to leave after the game because there is only one exit. Also, take snacks to eat and empty water bottle that you can fill at the stadium, unless you want to spend a fortune buying stuff there.

Not a bad seat in the house. Only ever half full due to draconian laws thanks to council. Food and drink is ridiculously expensive ($10 for half a pint of beer).

So many toilets available, and clean, food women. Such a big upside to events here!

Went here for an expo. The ability to walk around the stadium and circle back is really handy but can also be a bit frustrating when the vendor you want to see is at the opposite side. It easy walking though with plenty of places to rest while there.

Fantastic stadium, the organisers keep good music and atmosphere going all the time. Fireworks, good entrance exit, each access to train and busses. Food not so good, and beer in plastic cups not ideal but I suppose there is the safety aspect

good place to watch the rugby, clean and tidy stadium, food and drink are fairly expensive but when they have a captive ordinance they can charge what they want. seats were good. shame the springboks beat the all balcks but thats not the stadiums fault.

Went on a Saturday to watch the local footy. The entrance is a bit of a walk from the train station but the pathway is clearly marked. The ticket booth is located next to the entrance. The stadium is on an angle so if you are seating in the centre of the stadium, you'll probably have to walk further more around. The atmosphere is great however the alcoholic beverage selections are rubbish. The beers are served in plastic cups and a single cup is around $9-10. There is limited parking available at the stadium for $35.

Queue at ticket counter was longer than we thought it would be but the ticketing officer was patient and got us great seats for our budget. Great atmosphere for a super rugby night and I thought nobody watched it anymore. Easy to find seats.

I saw a Super Rugby game there. It's right in the centre of the city. I was able to walk there but also very close to the train station. In fact to get to the stadium I had to walk through train station which felt a little strange. I bought tickets at the gate which was straightforward. It's laid out pretty well with lots of toilets. The food isn't that horribly priced for a sporting arena. As it's a cricket ground the rugby pitch only takes up about 3/4 of it so if sitting in the middle you can be quite far away but the views I had were decent. I was also lucky enough to see a compelling game! (that sadly can't be guaranteed)

Westpac stadium is a 30,000 capacity stadium based closed to the waterfront by Wellington's wharves. Access is easy its a 5 min walk from Wellington railway station. Facilities are well laid out selling food and beverage. Prices for these items are reasonably expensive especially alcohol. Parking is plentiful but again expensive. More than $30 to park to watch a game of football. There are well appointed lounges available for hire not just on game day but for functions. The ground is always in good order and is well maintained. It has a drop in wicket.

It's alright for a stadium. Nothing special. Since becoming Sky Stadium the beer has become very craft orientated, which can quickly lead to a messy evening(in a good way)

We have visted the Stadium many times and it is a real mix bag. If you are attending a large sporting event I would aim to be there early as entry to the Stadium can take a long time. The general food and beverage area is pretty basic and the selection of food isn't thr best although it is improving. The bathrooms are less than desirable. We were lucky enough to get entry into the members lounge which was absolutely lovely. The food was delicious with a great variety of options, the bar was well stocked with a range of beverages and the bathrooms were very clean (always a bonus). The facilities for the disabled and elderly are fantastic, a golf cart service is offered to the main entry to avoid the long walk on the concourse however there is no special entry into the Stadium which can be overwhelming. Due to the location always make sure you wrap up warm or take layers with you.

A great stadium although I wish there were more of a variety of food options as everything seemed to be fried which was a shame. Also you should take a leaf out of Twickenhams book and use re-usable cups, include it in the price and give them a dollar or so back when they are returned. It would encourage kids to be more active around the stadium and cut down on single use plastic!

Think they could set the stage up so the stands arent so far away. I went to see Eminem but almost needed binoculars from the front seat!

This was for Queen + Adam Lambert. My host had purchased members tickets + the VIP Banquet??. Most dissapointed. The so called " Banquet "was little more than a " Basic Buffet." it was very nice but should not have been promoted as a Banquet.We did actually think that we were eating the entree. And that the rest was to follow. Surprise !! Tthe concert was spectacular as was our view.

Watched the Nix play here and win. Always enjoy coming to the stadium. My only gripe is the massively overpriced food and drink. Also if your going to make people pour out their water bottles then perhaps do something about the water pressure at the refill station, 25/35 sec per bottle when you got 20 people waiting(some with more than 1 bottle) is agonizing.

Unlike virtually all other stadiums in New Zealand this one was built in one phase from start to finish. It has excellent transport links and can fill and drain quickly. Easy access to food and drinks. Only downside is trying to watch a rugby game in a stadium made for cricket.

Great place shame not more people at the game

Went here for beervana. One of the better run events I've been to for that many people. Huge 50m queue to get in at the beginning, but it all funneled in very quickly (around 5 mins!). Large venue area inside, didn't feel too full.

Great venue for cricket, not so much for rugby because you're so far from the sideline. Food and beverage could do with some options too, most sports matches you can choose from just one beer on tap or pricey water...

Great stadium to watch sport and good access from trains to the stadium. Parking Available at a cost. Only drawbacks are the food and catering are average but have improved over the last 2 years.

Great amount of car parks, security ( Red badge) on location till late, great customer service also. And a large amount of different events happening here.

Great venue for all types of events. Parking has changed a bit over time for places near by as you can't park near Customs House or the Bluebridge any more which is disappointing. There's a few Wilson Parking options around so do look into those. Stadium parking is around $35 which quite frankly is offensive since you've already dished out $$$ for the event. Important to note do not take non-plastic water bottles, as you will have to leave them at the gate to then lineup and collect afterwards. Basically this is forcing you to buy plastic water bottles once inside which lacks support for any kind of ecological awareness. (You can take your own plastic bottle though to fill up once inside) Facilities are what's expected from such a venue and nothing more, unless you're a season pass holder then there's extra benefits for a cost - which if you go there regularly would be worth it I guess.

Went for the Food Show, which is one of the highlights of the Wellington calendar. Always a great day out, 2018's show was no exception. Spent far to much money! But who can resist, great cheese, amazing pate, and devine wine to wash it all down

Fantastic stadium for a sporting event - only 4 stars due to very tightly packed crowds on entry/exit (compared to other stadiums I have visited). The design of the stadium could definitely have done with more gates and entrances spaced out around the circumference of stadium.

Eminems 2019 rapture concert was amazing, the stadiums acoustics were abit rough and the bar line was super hectic but what an awesome experience.. maybe having a 360⁰ stage would be more appropriate.

Edited review - Turns out Westpac was not the reason Smirnoff wasn’t available. The Westpac team went above and beyond, offering stadium passes to enjoy their members lounge instead. Thanks Guys .... Never had any trouble with queues. Stadium was clean enough. Food leaves a lot to be desired. Expensive and gross. Staff a little ill informed but nice enough. All I have to say is pack a lunch and you'll be fine.

We go to Westpac Stadium mostly for Hurricanes and Wellington Lions games, have also been for All Blacks tests and other events like Home and Garden shows. The entry process is efficient if you have tickets already however if you purchase tickets at gate there is sometimes long delays so this needs to be sorted. Food queues can take some time as well but food variety inside the Stadium is getting better. You cannot generally take food into the Stadium nor drink. Seating wise you can see all the ground from anywhere, there is nothing restricted for rugby events so whether you get a Platinum ticket or a Bronze, that's most expensive to cheapest it doesn't affect your viewing. Transport to and from is great. We catch the train in from Paremata and we are home normally within an hour of the finish of any event which is great.

Catering is terrible....45 minute wait for a burger....they ran out of frankfurters before the actual show started...how amateurish is that.... Should have cup holders in the seats like most other big stadiums..its alright to sell cups of beer but stupid not to have holders...you need the Heinekin girls there... The show was awesome but....😁👍

Came here for the Weta Christmas party and my God, was it a treat. Absolutely huge inside and the perfect place to host a party of that magnitude. Excellent level of security and great staff, food was delicious and everything about it was incredible.

Great atmosphere for the Hurricanes game, professional set up very enjoyable. Food was low quality though and very expensive.

Loved the venue, game was enjoyable, the donuts to die for BUT the American hot dog for a stand inside the stadium was an insult - burnt onions and a hot dog that was so tough it had to be torn apart. Classic case of eat the bun and sauce and throw throw the dog away!

The Eminem concert was so dope and the stadium done an average job of pulling it off. My mum had to wait nearly an hour to buy our drinks, and the ladies toilets were a disaster (lining up to go) on more than one occasion. Overall, Eminem's performance outweighs the negatives.

4.5 stars really, Stadium starting to show its age a little but very well designed with facilities all round and ease of access and exit. The cake tin is a stadium Wellington can truly be proud of...

Pretty class, although when I watched Australia (yuck) vs New Zealand in Cricket, Australia cheated so much so I started to sing "Same old Aussies always CHEATING!!!"

Was not overcrowded at the Hurricanes game so was easy to walk straight in and out. If you want food and drinks make sure you go to the bank and apply for a sizeable loan beforehand.

Just been to my first ever rugby match. I was abit worried id get squashed on the way out but the large crowd was so nice and walked calmly out. I love the All Blacks and now I'm hooked.

A moderately sized stadium, with corrugated iron all around. The seats are very yellow and there are thousands of them. Lights are too bright to look at directly, so take care.

Great atmosphere and for all the times ive watched sport, concerts or events I dont think ive ever had a bad seat anywhere. Food is ok, not too badly priced for a stadium

Easy access from the Wellington train station : there is a direct access. Car park is quite expensive. Friendly management people. Some seats in the stadium are rain covered and we can easily watch the match from almost everywhere. The teams enter the stadium from the opposite side from ngaio. Easy to leave too. Train numbers are improved when there is a show in the westpac stadium.

Took my grandson to a Hurricanes game, he's now addicted. Seating was a confusing so i asked at the info centre and i still got it wrong. Grndsn loves the doughnuts there and spent most of his money on them, good bargain he said. Hot chips had a weird taste but the night out was fabtastic!

Saw Eminem here!! Awesome concert venue.. Except for lack of toilets!! Thousands of people for Eminem concert and all they had was a handful of porta loo's! Over a hour in line to pee!! Would've given 5 stars but this stopped it....

Good atmosphere when full but can be a bit flat when lesser crowds in. Awful design on entry and exit very cramped as there is only one main entry/exit point. Very useful once out of stadium to get to trains.

Great place to watch the rugby. GO THE ALL BLACKS!! but beware the parking is expensive the food is even worse 10.00 for a bloody hotdog and the toilets yuk...And come on humans do you have to leave your rubbish everywhere..

Westpac stadium is in windy Wellington. It's in busy route. But still okay. Station is near by. And we can also see some cruise ship in front of stadium because of port and sea. The stadium is cool and maintained well.

Great place to watch live sport, not happy with security telling me to dump water from my bottle even though you can refill it in the stadium but only if it is a bottle that holds around 600mls - my bottle was 1.5 litres - guess that helps the food and drink vendors.

How do you review a stadium? I've enjoyed all the events I've been to here (except when England got trashed in the cricket world cup). Beervana is a highlight. Also enjoyed Comic Con. Struggled with the sevens - wouldn't go back unless there were substantial changes. Main negative is the food. Poor quality fast food only. Expensive as well. This is Wellington people. Must try harder here.

If you like spending $8 drinking Tui Gold and washing your hands with cold water, this is the place to be. The concourse has been ingeniously designed to ensure that you feel cold wherever you are in the stadium, which helps ensure that the cold taps feel extra brisk.

Nice place to watch circket or rugby matches. The only Day night stadium we have in Wellington. Clean place with good chairs around. can accomodate a huge crowd with parking.

Watched the Hurricanes defeat the Crusaders again. Great pre-game activities on the concourse for kids. Food and alcohol was available with short waiting times. Great day out all round.

Went to see New Zealand beat Australia 16 -7 in the tri-nations in 2004. Very modern stadium. Looked and felt like I was in a cake tin. The weather was horrendous on the night though and got soaked. Enjoyable experience overall.

Loved it. It's a beautiful, family friendly place. Easy to get to and easy to go home again, when living outside of Wellington. Right by the station and within walking distance from the city centre.

Great atmosphere but they could do with having more then one entrance/exit. The entire stadium (every single fan) had to use the same entrance and exit, I would hate to see what would happen in an emergency.

Did not cater for 20K feverish Phoenix fans. No beer for the masses before HT. What a joke

Could have better lane markings leading up to the gates, many were in wrong lanes, Food was horribly expensive and cold, $9 for a 300ml coke that retails for $2.50, cold fries, cold burgers, and then you can’t eat in your seat, as seats are crammed in, and you have nowhere to put food, il eat outside next time, barely any rubbish bins, but overall the concert was awesome, easy location to stadium, train, etc, only stadium we have, just needs a roof

Unique "cake tin" design stadium that houses 60+ thousand fans. Located in the capital of New Zealand, the stadiums on the edge of Wellington city. Close to the train station and offers exceptional rest rooms, parking and general space.

Marginally better since the change to Sky brand lucky the Canes performance was top notch. Note to catering staff . . Pinot gris is not a red wine 🤪

Went to get a 'red band' on the fist day and they said it wasn't needed. Went back to my seat the next day and they insisted that we get one and then walked with us to go get one. Oh and the price of the food...? I know it's a stadium and you don't get regular customers but $8 for a burger is a bit steep. I could get KFC to feed 4 people for the price I paid for two burgers and fries.

Saw Eminem here and it was one of the best experiences of my life! Westpac was an amazing venue for the place and it had rook for all 50,000 people, the huge stage aswell as all the merch and food shops scattered around. Chicca chicca slim shady.

A great stadium for viewing sport. Easy to get in and out of even when there's a sell out. Only downside is the food can be a let down but this has got better recently.

Pretty Nice Stadium on the all, but really, that much capacity, when they only ever really have Wellington Phoenix games there, and even then, almost all the seats are left empty because of barely any people showing up, besides that it is a top class designed stadium with brilliant features and architectures, good stadium.

I have watched the AB's and Hurricanes there, concerts awesome ACDC and others and home shows and have enjoyed my time interacting....the down side is slow to get to the counter for food and drinks and is it worth the money? um expensive.

Originally I gave eCare 2 stars for their management of the Westpac car park. The reliability of the machines was really poor at the beginning and the price went up. The Westpac Stadium is now one of the cheaper car parks servicing the CBD. While the machines are mostly reliable they still do have problems from time to time. This seems to always happen when I'm in a hurry! I have rung several times about issues and have never managed to talk to anything other than an answer machine. If this part of eCare customer service was fixed that would earn another star from me. Getting 5 stars from me is not likely as the car park is not consistently available as events at the Stadium take precedence. While I can't blame eCare for this, it is very annoying and often means I need to find alternative parking at short notice. This is something that needs to be factored into your week if you use this car park regularly as I do. I do have a word of praise for the way eCare and that is the way they dealt with the resent train issues. Allowing people to pack into the car park in places that were not really parks without ticketing them was just the right thing to do. Intelligent thinking thanks eCare!

Cut my teeth here at the first few Wellington Sevens tournaments. Some of the most fun ever. Final send off was my stag do. Treasured memories (and lack thereof). Saw the Stones in concert. Amazing! Didn't get there in time to see supporting act Nickelback through, dammit! Opportunity lost. Wink emoji. Cricket one-dayers (remember the crowd abusing Darren Gough, then cheering him when he gave it straight back), the Nix, All Whites, All Blacks & Hurricanes - always a good time. Only gripe is the ever-increasing food & drink prices.

A bit disappointed this 2019 season. The catering has done away with cardboard drink carriers and replaced them with plastic ones at a cost of $2. Also pour drinks from plastic bottles into plastic cups! None of that plastic is easily recycled. C'Mon Wellington, this is crazy.

Always a great view for the games. I really appreciate the craft beer at the Phoenix games. Also a great conference centre for workshops and conferences. They look after you.

Enjoyed the football match but the food on offer was not what I would call edible. Not great when you cant even take your own full water bottle in!

Seats are pretty squished and uncomfortable. Need more cheaper options things food/drink wise little on the expensive side. But we enjoyed our time.

Been here for conferences and concerts. Conferences are usually fine, concerts are great for sound and atmosphere but queues drive me nuts driving me to give up after almost an hour of waiting!

Visited once for Nz vs india T20 match. Its very clean and beautiful. Washrooms are very tidy. Easy access for wheelchair people.

it's ok cheap tickets for a one off game for hurricanes bad atmosphere normally as the promoters couldn't fill the place if their lives depended on it if your going to watch the Phoenix then you've screwed up in a bad way

It's ok. It gets really cold out in the open, and the architecture sometimes goes from "Concrete modern" to "Communist bleak". Better than a lot of stadia though, and the path into and out of the building has been really well thought out.

Great atmosphere, good choice of food and now there's gin and whiskey being served, that and supporting a winning team it's a pretty cool Venue.

It's a facility built for multiple sports. Since cricket was included in the initial plans, it doesn't make for an intimate setting for the other sports, such as soccer/football.

As far as sports venues go it's ok (not as good am atmosphere as other stadiums) but nothing great. Went to the food show there and it is not very good for that type of show.

On a good night, and with a good game on, the place goes off. Queues for food and drink can get quite long, and prices for both are pretty steep.

I enjoy going there and not missing on any Wellington Phoenix home match, good atmosphere and good service, definitely my best place to be!

The repeated use of loud music is passe and needs to be discontinued; it interferes in conversation, commentary, the game (where silence should be given to players, during kicks at goal for exampke) and enjoyment of the game by those who pay to go to the games.

Horrendous when crowds are 20k+ give yourself at least 40 mins to get in, would prefer a rectangular stadium but great views all round the stadium.

Loved the new food available, shame they underestimated how busy it would be. Big queues even while the game was on.

Good stadium, expected renovations in 2017 should make for a much brighter and more modern sporting/convention experience!

Rely good place for events nice staff but the food is a bit pricey overall great👍

Great game (watches the Hurricanes) but stadium doesn’t fill up very often and the food and drink are quite expensive

Awesome venue for sports, Armageddon, and conferences. Great location too with easy access from train station

It was fun watching match at westpac stadium. India lost the game that day but still it was a good match.

The only major stadium in Wellington. So you are probably going regardless of this review. Can get windy.

Prepare to spend up big on food and beverages. There is long walk from the nearby train station, in which there usually is a heavy crowd.

The caketin is big enough to host some great events, but seriously, why would anyone not want to cover an area like this in one of the windiest cities in the world?!
