Sorry David Kirkby, but your comment is so untrue. The decision for the local Petanque club to fold came as a surprise to the Bowling Club Committee. The fact that the Petanque club was included in our new signage would suggest that the Bowling Club had no knowledge that Petanque were considering folding. If it is the Petanque clubs assertion that they were forced out, the Bowling Club committee would like to know on what grounds this is founded. We can guarantee that car parking was never a consideration by the Bowling Club as a means to bring about the demise of the Petanque club.
