Felt very welcome. Enjoyed a handle coke zero. Wife had a stella. Nice venue. Dining room opens at 5.30pm. Very clean and tidy and well presented.

We had a nice meal and watched the rugby (All Blacks v Pumas) on the big screen. A well-appointed club with good amenities. A comfortable, quiet environment for watching the rugby, compared with the pubs!

Mercury Bay Club (INC). Nice place for families to go to. Play area for kids out the back, shady spots to sit under away from the sun. Has its own R.S.A room. With plenty to look at & the food is worth having a try.

A true local club in the heart of Whitianga. As legend would have it, The Mercury Bay club is the brain child of some local residents who had to contend with the local Pub one fateful evening running out of beer. Not a group to take beer rations lightly, they BYO'd at the bottle shop and upon settling in the local park to drink the spoils, thought it was high time they had a club for locals to call their own, and the Mercury Bay club was born. Many years later, the beer has never run out, and you can still find a couple of those locals sipping a cold one and having a feed of scallops and chips at their very own club.

Ok, typical RSA food. No pan fried fish, only battered or steamed. Had steamed, very overcooked, rubbery and dried on edges.
