Clean, fresh and cool. It was a very hot day when we visited and I was sitting on the concrete in the carpark in a bit of limited shade, giving my dog a stretch and cooling off period. A lovely young female staff member came over to check we were alright and asked if she could provide water for the dog. Very thoughtful of her and appreciated, though not needed as we had cool water.

Brilliant supermarket with something of everything .good grocery lines and breads, deli and meat sections. A well stocked alcohol section. Well laid out..Staff were pleasant and helpful.

Good tidy supermarket. Plenty of parking and lots of variety. Staff are friendly. Store is usually very clean and organised. It's also located on the main street, so very convenient location for all the visitors passing through, motel guests, workers, locals etc, so the store is always busy. But to manage with the workload, they have enough staff on the checkouts, which is nice to see.

My partner and I appreciate the wide range on products, especially the Fairlie's pies, and the amazing people who work and shop there. I lost my credit card while buying the groceries and they found it an returned immediately. They also have a great care of their customers, following up our concerns about feeling unwell after eating the chicken curry frittata from deli. Thank you for your exceptional service and lovely team . 😊

Great new world and they have a fantastic coffee shop. They also make the most awesome bread and butter puddings in their bakery. Love this place.

This New World has EVERYTHING. If you're travelling and need something ready made to eat, this is the place to come.

Busy, but efficient! The till staff were polite and got things moving quickly. Eveyone was able to move around no prob.

They have different food here than elsewhere in New Zealand. Cant believe it. This is like the superior of superior of new worlds. Amazing bakery.

The staff are so friendly and recognise you (even if you only come once a week) Even during lockdown when it can be quite stressful to work in (nevermind just shop!) they have been great and when it is your only interaction with other people in lockdown, it really means a lot. Thanks team, you guys are awesome .

Pretty good. Quite a good range of produce. Is it just me or is this New World more expensive than some others? Great range of vegan cheeses.

Lovely supermarket, but not a great deal of parking. It was a very busy morning. There was no parking so went and did a few other things and was lucky enough second time round to find a park. There is no street parking outside the supermarket.

Overall easy to get my things and go, the website doesnt seem to update the location to alexandra's store

I went to this shop today checkouts were 3 deep fast express Lane not open and checkout lady told me I qualified for carrot bag while they were totaling up but I didn't get the carrot bag the check out girl seemed disinterested never said hello the other lady who was packing my groceries was OK but if you qualify for something you should get it or have the chance to turn it down grrrrrre

Amazing. I mean, it's New World, the best supermarket in NZ (except for PaknSave haha). Only been let down by a few NWs in NZ, and overall this one is excellent and I found everything I needed at surprisingly excellent prices. EXCEPT for their bananas. They were terrible quality today and weren't even in stock yesterday. What's up with your bananas NW Alex?

This is a modern supermarket with all of the departments and features that you would expect. The building was enlarged and upgraded a couple of years ago and offers a good layout and selection of goods. During holiday periods it can be very busy, with holiday-makers in a relaxed mood and taking their time. I have found the checkouts to be well managed with sufficient open to handle the peak times. Very good wine and beer selection.

Very tidy store. The car parks direct entry when you look forward is actually a one way... my wife got confused and had to back out to turn left as to not go up the one way meant only for traffic coming out. No sign to suggest it's a one way only some faded white arrows. Aside from that confusion bustling small town new world. Great service by amanda on the check outs 😁😁

Fantastic young man served me. He told me he is close to finishing exams and then off to university next year to study human resources and law. Good customer service.

The place is always clean and tidy and nice and bright. The staff are helpful and welcoming and it's somewhere you can have a pleasant yarn with folk and staff alike whilst going about your shop.

I was visiting this one only few times as a tourist but I found pretty much everything. You can buy a lot of cooled things and also a hot chicken (even stuffed)! On the cashdesk except for a cashier there's another person loading your stuff in a bag (good for ladies with looong nails :-P ).

Crazy-busy over the Christmas period, but all staff were calm and helpful. Free chocolates at checkout over this time to soften the blow of waiting in queue.

New paper bags for fresh foods, recyclable meat trays and less plastic wrap in the vegetable department than there used to be.

They had exactly what I was looking for. VEGAN, GLUTEN FREE PESTO ROLLS WITH SLICED CALAMARI MIXED WITH CINNAMON OILS AND ESSENTIAL H2O BYPRODUCTS. Absolutely wonderful

Had an awesome coffee and scone at their cafe this morning and the staff and service were out of the top drawer ..will certainly make this a regular coffee stop .. Will add here that the staff on the shop floor were tops and most helpful as well ...

It’s a nice store with helpful staff BUT at a time like this lockdown they have lost my business as they DONT HAVE ONLINE/DELIVERED shopping which Countdown and FreshChoice do have.

About the only large supermarket in Alexandra. Prices same as others in south island. Plenty of choice. Free WiFi in-store a great bonus. Plenty of parking spaces.

Great stop for your needs in Alexandra, plenty of parking and well laid out. I always stop there for their Golden Thyme range of small goods, well worth trying.

I like the new store. At last after all the mess. Well done to the staff who lived with it daily. Afew items not on shelves anymore. One being clorogine. Better than janola.

Funny thing I took my own bags and one was a Countdown bag. The packer put my countdown and Pam's bags away and would only use my New World bag.
