Bakery staff need to learn how to bake and handle bread products, never a non-squished / flat bread product in the bakery section, such a shame as occasionally the buns / bread are great.

Because its located in central Ashburton, this countdown is quite handy. Nice and big parking space, so you never struggle for parking your vehicle. Has a cafe, a chinese food place and couple other shops in the compound as well. The only down side is that is doesn't have much variety of items as you'd probably find in a city countdown and it closes wayyyy early(9pm) everyday.

An older and dated Countdown. Not a massive one like some in Christchurch so its range is slightly limited, but still very practical and adequate. Its dated condition will be more noticeable once the brand new, large format Countdown opens at the other end of central Ashburton around May 2017.
