Good layout, clean store, lots of parking and friendly staff. Pharmacy is nice bonus but sadly quite small. Preferred place to shop in town

Brilliant they have their signs instore in English and Te Reo maori. Great way for all of us to learn a few new words.

Good. You just need to be diligent and check you pay the correct price for promos. Be polite and they are quite helpful.

As usual it was very easy to shop in this Store because everything is displayed well & staff are very helpful and friendly

Excellent staff and stock. Clean shop. Bit of a worry the computer isn't updated often enough with specials. Being overcharged is annoying but we can't run cars to go back and sort it for just a couple of dollars

If you are one of those fanatic of whole food lover, then you will be in heaven here. They actually dedicated special area for you. I know you can find those items in every Countdown in New Zealand, but over here, you will treated a bit more special. Other special features here is their special pickup area at the entrance. That mean, you do the online shopping, they would prepare your stuff ordered to be picked. How awesome could that be? Good job, guys

Clean tidy. Staff warm friendly helpful. However didn't like 2 of the staff at delicatessen talking infront of me in there own language before being served it was awkward waiting for them to finish then seve me as I had no idea what they where saying it was a awkward moment experience for me

When i went in a few times i found this countdown a great place to shop. There was always enough trolleys and the trolley bays werent over filled. The kids free fruit basket was always filled with a variety of fruit. I feel like its tidy and has plenty of different specials. The staff are very friendly that they pack and put your bags in the trolley. How is that for service. Well done thanks for making my visits a pleasure.

Nice and easy to find on SH1 by the Ashburton River

Great range of products, unfortunately not many New Zealand products so if you want to support your country New World or Pack and Save are the places to go

Lovely parking and helpful staff

We are from North Island found assistance most helpful especially at the check out as we went through self service. An assistance was at hand when we were looking up how to weigh fruit etc.

Good prices wide aisles

Don't understand why some things differ in price in the deli especially from the countdown store at other end of town. Shelves needed restocking in alot of areas.

Prices are 10%higher than PaknSave -range is not as good as it should be-shelves are often empty-these guys really need some competition to shake them up-for there own good!

Nice place to shop. As with all Countdown, lots of parking space, spacious shop and varieties of items. Although there were 2 items on promotion but not captured by system during check out, staff were very proactive and helpful to resolve it.

All Countdowns usually have what I'm looking for, including friendly customer service, this branch however is a little different in that respect. I'm not sure if they're constantly understaffed, but just try to buy a lotto ticket here, jeez, the woman consistently has a face like a dropped pie and the attitude to match.

Could be a little bit more nicer some times

Staff are friendly, most of the shelves are stocked up now, however, there are items on shelves that are not priced or items that were on offer and sold out replaced with a different product but the pricing has not been changed.

Enjoy going here for groceries. Awesome they have the gold card Tuesday discount for pensioners.

I'm from north island n was nice to shop in familiar setting...went thru self serve the young Indian lady was fun to spar with

Nice place and well positioned on the motorway. Child had to go to the toilet and although we are appreciative that they had one it was really disgusting. Nothing you'd expect to be near food

I would just like to say this countdown staff up the front were very accommodating today. I was having a bad day and could hardly move more than usual. I had pulled my neck anyway, I was so anxious to ask for help to have someone put my groceries into my car but i did. And they were so kind and they did. Maybe if you’re struggling and you actually need help just ask you never know. I HATE asking btw. Im stubborn just ask anyone... Thanks Countdown Checkout and service team you made today alot more easier thats for sure.

Nice store but counter managers can be quite slow, leaves the cashier hanging on with a long line and disgruntled customers.

I found the stock was wanting no cubed apricots decaffeinated tea and the prices were on the higher side I have seen for awhile over all signs of a struggle business
