T.Bakery staff need to learn how to bake and handle bread products, never a non-squished / flat bread product in the bakery section, such a shame as occasionally the buns / bread are great.

G.When new to the store it takes longer to find items, but quick service.
m.Dark. Drabish. Everything is there but it's been a bit eclipsed by the newer store at the other end of town. We like it though.
V.In these difficult times the staff have all been fantastic .They have families too but they never let us down🤗

T.Visit this place almost every day to buy fresh meat and veggies. I don't need to load my fridge because I have countdown to supply me with all the fresh food items we need!!!😁😁😁

L.The staff are always welcoming and helpful which makes a chore easier and pleasant. The basic tasks are mad easier when the staff smile and are engaging. The man Colin in produce is amazingly helpful and even gives you recipes to help. Thank you Colin for your invaluable experience and support.

Otheriwse all was good. Now it's a new year, it should be back to normal.

a.Because its located in central Ashburton, this countdown is quite handy. Nice and big parking space, so you never struggle for parking your vehicle. Has a cafe, a chinese food place and couple other shops in the compound as well. The only down side is that is doesn't have much variety of items as you'd probably find in a city countdown and it closes wayyyy early(9pm) everyday.

J.An older and dated Countdown. Not a massive one like some in Christchurch so its range is slightly limited, but still very practical and adequate.
Its dated condition will be more noticeable once the brand new, large format Countdown opens at the other end of central Ashburton around May 2017.
