Started out OK. Last four times in a row stuff has been missing. Paying for delivery and they expect me to come and pick it up. Keep getting excuses. Fruit was mouldy, substituting despite turning off the substitute option. Get told I will get a call back; I am still waiting. Won't ever use the online delivery option again.

Favorite Countdown on the Shore so far, has what I want is clean and well stocked. The que can get a bit long with all these masks and distancing rules...

Few shelves bare today. But lovely friendly staff as always

Usual countdown, good space between isles etc. However, staff seem polite but a little resentful to have customers ...

Wonderful staff... Nothing was too much to ask them to do.. Helpful and polite.. The store was well stocked and beautifully presented.... I love shopping here. Staff actually smile at strangers and approach one to offer help....

Very close and convenient to my home, however the variety of products could be improved.

Seen better variety at other countdowns. Not very easy to get in and out.

Enough checkouts open for customer flow,sanitized between customers,card only payments,no cash allowed,not even cash out shelves were full.

Good experience in the store. I mostly shoped at the Deli.

They had good covid practices and were not to busy when I visited last.

Absolutely phenomenal countdown. Least amount of dirt this side of Auckland, and all the staff are genuinely helpful and nice. Checkouts actually smile! 10/10 would recommend.

Nice regulation Countdown store in the shopping Mall. The staff are friendly and nice. Shelves are constants restocked so there are not much waiting times. The entry to the store can be confusing due to the mall layout and especially so in after hours. Click and collect services are good too. Nevertheless a good one and well recommended.

One of many nationwide Countdown branches, this specific branch is located in the 1st floor next to Bin Inn and ANZ/ASB. It's not too small, while holding most of the range of goods you'd expect to find in most supermarkets. Remember to pack your tote bag!

Good store and has most of the products that you require in stock most of the time. Unfortunately there is very poor mobile phone reception so if I need to ask the wife about something while shopping it makes it very difficult. Hence I shop here for few items.

It's the local spot that I'll always go to bc of the close proximity to home, but it's always just right in the middle in terms of upkeep, stocked shelves, and whether or not you can find what you're looking for. 8 or so self checkouts and like 3-4 staffed checkouts. The public toilet is completely run down (but hopefully you don't have to use it whilst shopping). I do, however, like how pretty well organised they handled the social distancing lockdown queues.

I’d like to give my five stars to the door lady who has been passionately maintaining the cues of people for the Covid lockdowns. Not the easiest job(especially when the grumps show up) but she does great. And has been doing it for a while now!

This is a great place for deals. They always have specials that you will enjoy. The store is not too big where you are walking miles to get to your items. The fresh produce area is great and very fresh. They have self scan checkouts which is handy if you are in and out.

My local supermarket is a quick and efficient place for getting all the groceries I need. Service was excellent and she packed my groceries.

Our local go-to supermarket. Generally well laid out, but shelves not always stocked. Also the staff on the floor are not always helpful and sometimes seem dismissive when being asked a question (especially the ones with trolleys who seem to think customers are in their way!!). Checkout staff are friendlier! Otherwise it's a convenient supermarket.

Countdown staff from check outs to floor and stocking up are all super efficient !! Not easily achieved during Covid-19.lock downs whatever level.Bravo for superior customers service !!

Visiting this branch is always nothing short of pleasant. Staffs are always available, very helpful and accommodating. I have not yet looked for something that this branch does not have which only speaks very well about how they are on top of their inventory. Good job to the staffs!

We live locally and always pop in when we get the chance. They have amazing deals on stuff that are on special. My partner is a L&P lover and bluebirds fan so we know that they often have real good deals on these items for $1 each. .We also buy our alcohol here aswell as we find it cheaper then the liquor store and other supermarkets. Everything is so much fresher compared to PakNSave especially there muscles and seafood. Guarantee! The staff are lovely and great to deal with and are always smiling. It's Good to see happy faces when out about :)

I always like shopping at Countdown. The employees there are very friendly and have gone out of there way when I am looking for a certain products. Love that they got the new reusable bags for sale. They are of good quality. Thanks Countdown !

Shop here quite frequently. Inside Mall. Always great selection, keen prices, and helpful friendly staff. I use self service checkout because it is convenient. Highly recommended store.

Make sure you don't need access to online banking or the mycountdown app for your onecard as mobile reception is really poor, most of the time unusable.

2nd choice after pak an save ,just for convenience sake.Going there more regularly ,lately .Staff ok

It's located on the bottom floor of the mall and this countdown is quite big. But the phone reception is bad down there so you could miss some calls or not be able to call anyone while you're there. Which also means the internet data won't work in some areas of the supermarket too :)

Good on you Countdown Glenfield - saw today that the had the best price face masks! $7.50 for 25. Being genuine and with their prices certainly caught my attention.

While we go there a lot about once or twice a week it's kinda annoying to park close to because of the design of the mall and strangely all your phones or anything wireless some how stop working and its super annoying especially if someone messages last minute to pick up something while your there. All most like they are operating a jammer.

Self checkouts for fast visits, friendly staff willing to assist, and great Click and Collect service. This is my favorite Countdown by far and they always have what I'm after.

Since Covid 19 Countdiwn staff still the same happy and willing to assist. What I love is the same staff that worked there for years still chat to you and have a laugh. Great customer service

One of the larger countdown stores, nice staff, large variety of food choices and a bigger than normal bakery section. The bacon and cheese pull aparts are phenomenal!

On the whole I think this is a great supermarket, especially in how the handled covic19 . I do have a suggestion though , the isle's need to be be one end entry, so that a distance apart is easier to to keep.

The store is so clean and bright. The meat is so clean and always looks fresh. Staff are nice too.

Got a good deal on 24pqck of Steiny Pures for $40. Saw staff doing the online order packing getting all the orders together so that's available here

Family daily shopping, organized, very happy with lamb chop shoulders, some hot prices are awesome.

Glenfield Countdown is quite big and has plenty of variety. Great place to shop for your groceries.

Good as any countdown, with everything you would expect, including self checkouts. Selections in the bakery left somewhat to be desired.

I've shopped at many different Countdown stores, and I must say that this one is looking very tired and in need of a clean (sorry Countdown). Check your floors at the flour and also sugar isles.

Little bit more expensive than PSave or New World.

Visited on a busy anzac day just after opening, bread was fresh, some still warm and the service was very good.

Pretty small. Staff mill about looking confused mostly and take a long time to checkout. Seems to be a bit of racism going on as well.

New comments - Phase 3 shopping: My local for decades so I incorporate it in my daily exercise and only get what I can carry; no issues with temporarily using my backpack instead of trolley and heading to self-service - adapting to the new norm. Some staff don't engage but we have our favourites and we appreciate their presence when we shop. If the price is wrong or absent, the quality is inferior, etc, Customer Service counter is nearby for prompt attention. If I dont like the price of an item there is no shortage of other supermarkets or specialty stores I can go to. The Glenfield store is clean, the staff well presented and its my local so it gets my custom...most of the time.

A so-so grocery. Same-same content as any other place, seems to be always overcrowded at the checkouts with too many of the unattended despite the numbers awaiting service (& self-service also full up). Their own bakery products are poor quality, fruit and veg generally pretty good quality but not a fantastic range. Staff are helpful on the floor. Pricing and specials tags are often in the wrong places, so you end up with higher checkout prices than expected. All up, really, if you want the basics, it's fine, but don't expect anything much. PS. UPDATE: very impressed by their pricing/scanner error policy of full refund for the entire item.
