Started out OK. Last four times in a row stuff has been missing. Paying for delivery and they expect me to come and pick it up. Keep getting excuses. Fruit was mouldy, substituting despite turning off the substitute option. Get told I will get a call back; I am still waiting. Won't ever use the online delivery option again.

Nice regulation Countdown store in the shopping Mall. The staff are friendly and nice. Shelves are constants restocked so there are not much waiting times. The entry to the store can be confusing due to the mall layout and especially so in after hours. Click and collect services are good too. Nevertheless a good one and well recommended.

One of many nationwide Countdown branches, this specific branch is located in the 1st floor next to Bin Inn and ANZ/ASB. It's not too small, while holding most of the range of goods you'd expect to find in most supermarkets. Remember to pack your tote bag!

Good store and has most of the products that you require in stock most of the time. Unfortunately there is very poor mobile phone reception so if I need to ask the wife about something while shopping it makes it very difficult. Hence I shop here for few items.

It's the local spot that I'll always go to bc of the close proximity to home, but it's always just right in the middle in terms of upkeep, stocked shelves, and whether or not you can find what you're looking for. 8 or so self checkouts and like 3-4 staffed checkouts. The public toilet is completely run down (but hopefully you don't have to use it whilst shopping). I do, however, like how pretty well organised they handled the social distancing lockdown queues.

I’d like to give my five stars to the door lady who has been passionately maintaining the cues of people for the Covid lockdowns. Not the easiest job(especially when the grumps show up) but she does great. And has been doing it for a while now!

This is a great place for deals. They always have specials that you will enjoy. The store is not too big where you are walking miles to get to your items. The fresh produce area is great and very fresh. They have self scan checkouts which is handy if you are in and out.

Our local go-to supermarket. Generally well laid out, but shelves not always stocked. Also the staff on the floor are not always helpful and sometimes seem dismissive when being asked a question (especially the ones with trolleys who seem to think customers are in their way!!). Checkout staff are friendlier! Otherwise it's a convenient supermarket.

Visiting this branch is always nothing short of pleasant. Staffs are always available, very helpful and accommodating. I have not yet looked for something that this branch does not have which only speaks very well about how they are on top of their inventory. Good job to the staffs!

We live locally and always pop in when we get the chance. They have amazing deals on stuff that are on special. My partner is a L&P lover and bluebirds fan so we know that they often have real good deals on these items for $1 each. .We also buy our alcohol here aswell as we find it cheaper then the liquor store and other supermarkets. Everything is so much fresher compared to PakNSave especially there muscles and seafood. Guarantee! The staff are lovely and great to deal with and are always smiling. It's Good to see happy faces when out about :)

It's located on the bottom floor of the mall and this countdown is quite big. But the phone reception is bad down there so you could miss some calls or not be able to call anyone while you're there. Which also means the internet data won't work in some areas of the supermarket too :)

While we go there a lot about once or twice a week it's kinda annoying to park close to because of the design of the mall and strangely all your phones or anything wireless some how stop working and its super annoying especially if someone messages last minute to pick up something while your there. All most like they are operating a jammer.

New comments - Phase 3 shopping: My local for decades so I incorporate it in my daily exercise and only get what I can carry; no issues with temporarily using my backpack instead of trolley and heading to self-service - adapting to the new norm. Some staff don't engage but we have our favourites and we appreciate their presence when we shop. If the price is wrong or absent, the quality is inferior, etc, Customer Service counter is nearby for prompt attention. If I dont like the price of an item there is no shortage of other supermarkets or specialty stores I can go to. The Glenfield store is clean, the staff well presented and its my local so it gets my custom...most of the time.

A so-so grocery. Same-same content as any other place, seems to be always overcrowded at the checkouts with too many of the unattended despite the numbers awaiting service (& self-service also full up). Their own bakery products are poor quality, fruit and veg generally pretty good quality but not a fantastic range. Staff are helpful on the floor. Pricing and specials tags are often in the wrong places, so you end up with higher checkout prices than expected. All up, really, if you want the basics, it's fine, but don't expect anything much. PS. UPDATE: very impressed by their pricing/scanner error policy of full refund for the entire item.
