It is gorgeous. I usually dnt easily rate places providing services with a 5 star rating. But, this store worth it. Huge store. Plenty of options available including some options which u may not notice in a usual Countdown store such as a cafeteria, and a sushi shop. It is opened till midnight and that is what is a standout again. Plenty of onsite parking available. Self checkout service is available. I don't know how good their customer service is because I never wanted to seek assistance. This rating is for the store and how it is presented and maintained. But, if u visit closer to midnight, then the place would not be that convenient as they are doing night filling. So, boxes are all-over the place.

Went yesterday with no cues, produce always seems slightly better then other stores. Stocks were low but most stores are. Plenty of parking out the front and trolleys are in good nick. Lots of tills and they had 3 open while I was there plus all the self service stations. They also have wifi that you can use. Can't fault this store.

Large Countdown branch with plentiful supplies and wide variety. High quality shopping environment. Good car parking. Watch out for traffic when leaving during peak hours.

Apart from the obvious, the staff are friendly, hardworking, professional, committed, dedicated and cheerful considering the trials and tribulations that had come their way due to covid, restrictions placed upon them, crime and abuse thrown their way. They come to work to ensure their customers are attended to notwithstanding putting themselves at risk - a supermarket to say the least. Also having the pharmacy and pharmist on site is extra special too, made extraordinary when the pharmist knows you by name and ensures your needs are dealt with in a timely manner, as well as knowing your meds and giving information on them helps with anxiety too. This store is fantabulous in my mind and my partners - Thank you for your service

It used to be my primary grocery store where i bought most of my groceries before I got a car. After finding out Pakn save sell most of the things cheaper, I only go here to get a cat food (Temptation) because sometimes it's on sale and cheaper. They used to sell my favorite brioche loaf but sadly not around anymore.

I like visiting this place. Nice clean place with plenty of options from bakery. Very good collection of wines and details about each wine type is what stands out for me. Ambience is very good. No issues with parking here. Very nice staff here. They have a chemist as well.

Is it the largest Countdown supermarket in Auckland? Certainly feels like it. Maybe the best planned with overall clear wayfinding directions. Great fruit and vegetables. Extensive meat and salad selection. Huge wine overview. Big bakery. A supermarket designed to supply family provisions.

Well spaced out,items easy to find . The shop is clean, normal thing with all the stores they don't watch the checkouts. Alot of people waiting ,ther were at least 2 checkouts that could have opened, still be in the covid regulations.

Great direction, It told me to get off at the Pamure/Ellerslie Highway off ramp and I wasn't going to but then as I did I could see the traffic backing up at the next off ramp area I would have taken & what a mistake that would have been, Thanks Google Maps 👍 😀

Pretty good, even though they're in the middle of a renovation right now. Was weird seeing so many packages of frozen foods strewn up one of the aisles though, didn't seem like good food safety.

Like most of the bigger Countdown stores this one has it's own on-site pharmacy. After an appt at Greenlane Hospital I had a prescription to fill and the hospital staff actually recommended here because prescrpritions are free. It is a very clever idea. I mean how many of us can walk into a supermarket just to fill a script and walk out without spend anything. Be honest people, yeah right. $100.00 later with my free scripts I leave!!! Clever lol 😆😆

Probably the biggest countdown, but they do not have proper labelling. You have to ask the staff to find something you need. Plenty of parking space though and open till midnight.

With McDonald's sharing the same car park and being on the corner of two main arterial roads this branch of Countdown can be hard to get a park and busy with long queues at checkout (self service helps a lot) they have installed screens between the self service check outs which maintains capacity. Being a big store there is a wider variety of goods stocked and they have an in store Pharmacy. .

They have done some renovations and it's looking a lot better. There is a pharmacy area now and a large healthy food section (gluten free, etc). Friendly staff. Usually has long lines.

Fresh produce always good quality, and range. Never had a problem parking in huge carpark. Sushi shop inside supermarket and deli section has good lunch options. Easy to call in and get back out on the Motorway if passing though Auckland.

Beware of the carpark as I had an incident with another car reversing into my new car, so parking far away from the main carpark is a good idea Otherwise been shopping here for many years now the checkout service is better than floor service

The selection at Greenlane Countdown is always preferable to other suburbs but the checkout queues are usually awful. Today was no different BUT I struck gold when a manager offered to help me, went out if his way (or doing his job depending on your perspective) to price check something for me and notify me when thr next special is due to run. He was also most helpful on checking loyalty points etc. Unfortunately the same can't be said for the lady on checkout who spoke down to me and treated me like an idiot for wanting to know my loyalty balance. Sadly the supermarket is not a place I can live without so I will return but I do wish the staff made a weekly chore a more pleasant experience.

Best staff and best range of products for any countdown I have been to in Auckland. Never had any issues and the staff are always so great and helpful. The pick up service is amazing and so helpful when you have young children and shopping is like ninja warrior.

Love the new renovations. The supermarket looks incredible and is so nice to wander around. Particularly happy with the health food aisle right at the start. Fruit and veg is also a bit more spacious. Staff are helpful though sometimes hard to pin down if it is a busy time of day. Great variety of products at very reasonable prices. You have the choice of shopping luxury or on a budget - there really is something for everyone. Nice self check out aisle too. Enjoy going here for my weekly shop or just to pick up something I forgot. Plenty of parking too and just off the southern motorway which is a bonus!

I love visiting this outlet. Great place with plenty of options from the bakery and they do smell good every time I walk in there. It's a large supermarket and there are lots of selection. I can find almost everything I needed from this store. There is also a chemist in this branch, which is great. The staff here are nice and friendly. One more thing I love shopping here as there are always boxes arrange in front of the counter for us to pack our stuff. You may have to ask the staff to get you a box at another outlet but not here. The parking area here is huge but may get pack during the evening or the weekend though.

I do most of my shopping at a Countdown Store and yesterday for the first time visited the Greenlane branch. As I entered the shop, there were the recyclable bags and baskets neatly in the front, the store had a welcome atmosphere, the aisles were neatly stocked and marked. As I walked through the shop, I was very impressed at how clean it was, the staff happily getting on with their job, also showing how they seem to be concentrating on doing their jobs well, whether it be filling or checking a shelf. I also noticed how they enjoyed working with their colleagues. At one time, I was looking for a particular medicine and out of nowhere, a friendly staff asked me if I needed any help ... then I get to the counter and another happy and friendly checkout operator. I left the shop very impressed and in happy mood. Keep it up Greenlane :-)

It's one of the busiest supermarkets in NZ but they don't put enough staff on checkout for people doing big shopping trips and can't go through the self service checkout

Nice and clean supermarket with a lot of modern updates and concessions. The fresh baked isle is bigger than stores in the chain and offers a lot of tasty breads and desserts. Liquor selection is substantial if that's your idea of entertainment alongside a wide array of everyday food items. Store overall is well laid out and clean with helpful and attentive staff, even in the late hours.

Top place. Kids trolley upto the age of 4 years is available which is very handy. My son now really enjoy coming to CD Greenlane as he enjoys driving it and we can shop with peace as well.

Bakery review . Excellent baker great variety of breads on offer than from a while ago. This department has really stepped up. I really like the walnut & cranberry bread loaf is nice with butter fresh or just toasted . Cheese rolls are nice to kids enjoy the softness

The isles are very wide and easy to access stuff without bumping into other trolleys They have a good variety of food and produce as well as selected meats in the deli. one of Countdowns "oldies but goodies" .. today Onehunga Community Group were securing number plates with anti tamper screws, for a gold coin donation... Brillant service. Ongoing construction so it does make navigating the supermarket slightly tricky but nothing a bit of foreplanning and tolerance won't solve. Lovely and very helpful staff to direct and help us find items. Of note is the "Cellar", their newly renovated alcohol section which separates the different wines and beers into their different categories and shows you how to use each one. Very clever!

It's fine but nothing flash. Often run out of stock and slow to top up the shelves, and never enough check outs open. Also, always check the best before dates especially on chiller/cold shelf items as they often expire and aren't removed.

I'm always pleased with the service and variety of extra services offered. In one place you can get your groceries, post and dry cleaning. It is one of the higher quality Countdowns, however there are a few items that are difficult to find and the signage leaves a little to be desired.

A very big supermarket with a massive selection. My 3 star rating is because it is actually almost too big to really be functional. If you go in to pick up tea, by the time you have found your base ingredients, you are on the other side of the supermarket and need to find your way back. It can also get very busy on weekends and peak after work times

The operating hours are great and this alone puts this CD ahead of other supermarkets, however the layout can do with some improvement as its very hard to find what you're looking for and the staff are not all that clued up with where everything is.

I did shopping last weekend at Greenlane countdown and noticed I was charged twice for three items. Also some of the items were on special but the discounted price was not applied. Lucky I checked my bill before I left countdown. The good thing was after bringing this to Supervisor's notice, he apologized and refunded $ 13 and some cents back to me. So wherever you go for shopping please check your bill. Thanks.

Thank you to your one staff member who assisted me at about 3:00am in the morning on Thursday. I had a bad shift at work and very hungry, craving a hot meat pie, Sam offered to Heat two pies in the microwave That was so kind of him. I have been going here for years but am going to New World lately. Since they did Count Down up its changed in my mind for the worst. Prices have gone up and they seem to go for cheaper brands. I still go in there occasionally if I am in a hurry as I live in Greenlane but prefer to drive to Remuera where quality seems to be better.

Just watch out for lunatics careening through the enormous carpark like it's a cross between a Japan v Europe demolition derby and a Formula One race. Also, the pedestrian crossings must be painted wrong, because nobody stops for them.

Countdown Greenlane is one of the busiest Countdown's i've ever been to, its too populated and the staff simply canno't keep up with such a high demand. Not a super market I would attend on a regular basis.

One of the 24-hour Countdown in Auckland. Also handy as a 24-hour McDonald's is just across of this Countdown. This place also sells flip-flops (a.k.a. jandals). However, after 11p, you have to enter from the exit door; as they block/lock-up the entrance door due to liquor sale law.

It's open 24/7. Busy thought-out the day, though there is a lull between 2pm and 3pm on weekdays just before the kids get off of school. Shop then, if you can, to avoid the queues, which can be really long at peak times. Like most supermarkets, they have most things you'd want most of the time, but occasionally run out of some stock at buddy times.
