An elderly man with lengthy toe nails accidently stabbed me with his tie nails. I had a wound but staff didn't give plasta. I like the bakery section though, better than countdojn botany,,

This is my local supermarket ,it’s well stocked but not very tidy . The staff are also friendly which is a plus .

Easily the best shop in Howick Village & probably the best supermarket in the country. Abundance of fresh locally grown fruit & veg, beef, chicken, bread & honey. Very tidy & clean place. Helpful, friendly staff. 1st class!!!

It's getting better. Staff are now friendly and helpful. As it's quite a small store the choice can be limited. They are still a bit hit and miss with rotating the fresh food items so always check the sell by date. Fresh fruit and vegetables are usually pretty good quality but can be a bit expensive sometimes. Also they mix up the bagged mushrooms so you can by out of date produce mixed in with in date stuff. Tend to shop there if I am short of time. It's getting worse. Avoid if you can

While their shelves might be slight bare due to supply issues the level of service and friendliness is always great.

Dec 2021:Plenty of parking, excellent customer service and a good amount of stock for such a small store

Like shopping here, drawback is the prices have gone thru the roof! Need to look elsewhere for comparisons and cheaper purchases.

Best Countdown in East Auckland. There is never issues with carparks or ques offering both underground and outdoor parking. Great crew of staff and always a pleasure to shop without the mad rush that one so often experiences at other countdowns.

Still very busy even though we are in level 4 lockdown. One of the few supermarkets that had everything I needed on the day. Friendly staff and helpful. Even the security was friendly

Yes. Large. Spacious. Good Park. Downstairs as, well. Good access from main road and back. Friendly staff. No complaints. Pricing not always correct

Find it a little bit different, I was used to shopping in Countdown Napier this layout is a bit different 🤪

Unfortunately I think these guys have been hit by covid really hard which show's in their store. No fruit or veggies and many other products not available. Very short staffed at the moment. However I believe they can bounce back.

It's just OK small store not got the full range

Always clean and easy to have a quick shop for your day to day needs. Selves are empty a bit of a worry.

Clean and bright with lots of space, just like New World. However, although most of the staff are polite, there are a few who could do with some training in how to build a rapport with their customers. Go to New World and observe! Having said that, there is a good variety of products on the shelves for any item you would want, which is their saving grace. They are known to have specials over the weekends, but be in before Monday to get these.

Seems a bit smaller than other Countdowns in the area such as Botany or Highland Park. There are a few specific items that are available at other branches not available here. Store is always kept clean and plenty of parking.

Great selection of food, drinks and everyday stuff and friendly staff. Only problem today was a few customers moaning about the long queue due to the social distancing because of lockdown - but the staff did do their best at keeping everyone happy 😊

Not my go to store, as it is a little more expensive and doesn't have a lot of specials for things I normally buy. I find the fruit and vegetables particularly expensive but they are usually fresh. It does have underground parking which is a plus on a very wet day but staff need to move along groups of kids hanging around down there with skateboards. The group wanting attention at the upstairs door smoking and trying to draw attention to themselves also needs to be moved along. The end of school holidays may find them more usefully engaged. It is quite a small store so good for topping things up but I cannot understand why the staff never ever smile and look miserable working there.

My local Countdown, great range of food. Very friendly staff. I love getting my meat from here. They also have a little international section.

A very clean & organized store. Easy to find products & very friendly/ helpful staff. As a tourist from Canada I was looking for some items & asked an associate for help. They helped me find what i was looking for with a smile. Customer service is king these days. Parking was no problem Thanks guys.

It's always got what I need, the staff are helpful no matter what, and it's within walking distance of everything needed

Very convenient if you live in the area (near all the shops), staff are a hit and a miss. Good range of products but fresh produce you can find better quality and price else where (if you have time!!)

Good service, small but has everything the big markets has

Good supermarket, good place to shop during COVID as there are less people there and the carpark is smaller so no crowding, and stock wise there are plenty of products that are out of stock elsewhere that you can find here

Great staff and service Plenty undercover parking,medium size store but full range Good checkouts , and operators . Never a problem [ even for us old pensioners] Have a Kiwi ticket machine .All good our favourite store

Some items missing not enough to full all shelf. But in general very organized.

They trust people with their shopping carts therefore no chains or coins are needed.

Better now that the staff are friendlier than they were before New World opened. Opposition to them was a good thing for customers. Shop in their most days as its convenient.

Small enough to get around quickly, big enough to have what you need. Many staff have been here for years and are both helpful and knowledgeable. Undercover parking is a big plus.

Nice family beach with playground, toilets and a restaurant of sorts. At low tide you can walk out to the channel, or walk around to the other bays.

Great quality products and great prices, and for me, close to home! And they have a lot of collection toys for kids, and are getting more environmentally friendly.

One of the smaller countdown stores, has the essentials, but may not always have the best cuts of meat etc. Botany and Highland park stores are much bigger, and aren't too far away.

Seriously the best Countdown in Auckland everything that is sold out elsewhere is still available at this one. This place is a gem....tip if you go in the weekend you can land yourself some amazing deals with the meat! Check it out for yourself!!!

Typical Countdown, arrived 9pm only 3 staff & 1 counter. The floor manager does a great job.Bakery needs a change in cooking style.ok

I always shop at Countdown Howick and have always found the staff really helpful and very chatty enjoy going going there as much as one can enjoy food shopping just one thing I find a little annoying sometimes shelves don't always get stocked and empty shelves don't have a good look otherwise a satisfied customer

**Edit of review** Countdown Howick now have a new seafood section that is much improved. **3 star previous review** Terrible Seafood: just had to bin $17 of Gurnard, smelt like the East Tamaki Refuse Station. The cat didn't want a bar of it. Sort it out guys, when I catch fish it doesn't smell like that after 6 days - what are you selling us? The 0800 customer service was a good experience and refunded me, extra star there.

It's ok. Smaller than the Botany store. Couldn't find everything on my list. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Plenty of parking space, located across the driveway from Pizza Hut. A bit small, the International section was incomplete, but overall was OK.

During lockdown our favorite supermarket, they stay friendly in the Howick area compared to their competitors

I had the largest order I've done this year and the young guy on the counter was wonderful. We'll done howick countdown service has improved as the year has gone by.

Beware of croissants at the door! They are so hard they are inedible.

Almost all the grocery needs can be done here. Since the place is not large some of your needs may not be there. Also not the friendliest staff.
