I don't shop anywhere else because I've never had any reason to. My review therefore is that I have always found Countdown suits my every need. Its a one stop shop, from fresh fruit, veges, meat, bread and dairy, I've even shopped the frozen side. Friendly knowledgeable staff is a plus and you find plenty here. Remember to use your One Card for extra bargains. Enjoy 😉

This is our usual for online shopping collection. 99% of the time our orders are correct and in full. Order has not been ready for collection only once. But they apologized and had my order ready for pick up in 20 minutes.

Located on Universal drive the countdown store is big and has all the grocery items you need. Everything is available with multiple varieties. For every season and festival they do have different offers. So always look their website for more details.

But most of all I want to say thank you to the extremely happy and friendly young man who brought the trolley out with my click and collect groceries. I could hear the smile in your words, even though I couldn't see it through your mask. Your positivity radiates.

Urgently needed a replacement phone during lock down and Countdown Lincoln Road had a choice of 3 on hand and a staff member went beyond and helped set it up for me. Thank you for being agile in the present circumstances!

Always clean and tidy. Countdown stores during lockdown always seem to have more empty shelves than other stores, very frustrating.

Big, spacious, well staffed and stocked. Bakery a tad ordinary, deli a bit underwhelming, but it covers most bases. Onsite chemist very useful and prescriptions filled for free!

Overall, good. Fruit & veg fresh, plenty of good price reductions. Only problem, the checkout guy ( who was very nice & helpful) double zapped the bag of dog food. I've notified the store and have been assured that if I take in my recept next week, after Christmas, they will sort out a refund.

Nice, big and clean. I laughed when I heard it was going to be constructed opposite the Pak 'n' Save but they do have some products exclusively available that I get occasionally. This Countdown has a pharmacy attached although in my experience, there's not many staff at the pharmacy compartment, so I often have to seek them out to pay. LOVE how they have a bin for soft plastics too!

Meat with short expiry dates or off before the best before date. Constantly missing items when I do online orders. They need to sort their meat out, beef days before expiry stinks, is far past off. Or I buy meat online and they give 1 day to use it or freeze it. With how expensive their meat is. It's really disappointing. Might need the go back to Pak n save.

This Countdown may want to seriously consider upping it’s security. I watched a lady take 2 full bags of goods straight out the door. The self check out person told her to stop but she was too big and too fast. Sad to witness.

As usual, all shelves well stocked and tidy. Prices for own brands good, and competitive. Produce well set up, and reasonably priced. Deli, as usual well set out and inviting, as is the butchery dept. Delicious range of bread etc. in the bakery.

I don't know why but for some reason, pakn'save cashiers are friendlier and greet their customers regardless. Sometimes a simple smile could brighten's someone's day. Anyway, I go to countdown because they have the branded meats that I like and their lightings are brighter than paknsave.

Good selection of organic and vegan products. I think it's a better selection than the other surrounding Countdowns. Easily accessible plenty of parking for disabled, click and collect and new/expecting mums

A big store that is extremely well presented and offers a wide variety of services, including a pharmacy, and both customer service checkout and self service checkouts. The fruit and veges look very fresh. The store has clear signage so it is easy to find all that is needed. The trolleys seem well serviced

I went to the Pharmacy at this Supermarket to buy single use face masks as they were the cheapest in the area at ,$1.10 each. The staff were very obliging and went out of their way to help. Recommended.

The young woman that served me was glum and unprofessional. Didn't say hi or ask if I had bags or anything or if they aren't sposed to be packing our shopping she didn't say so. She seemed really blahzay and in her own world

Had been doing my weekly Sunday food shop across the road at the big yellow competitor for years until I tried Countdown's "click and collect" and haven't looked back. Saves me time and the stress of walking around a busy supermarket with every other person. Priority parking right out front, ample parent and expectant parent parking. Staff are friendly and always helpful at this branch and even get my groceries ready for me without having to even ask or say my name when I walk in the door.

My regular grocery store having all the brands that you expect to find in a leading grocery chain. Very clean and great environment to shop. The fresh produce section has very fresh products. A sense of quality is present everywhere.

Very nice place, has all the facilities required. Staff are nice enough and served me well. I especially enjoyed the flirty female working when i came in. I enjoyed the place thoroughly and the services provided. Im unsure however weather i would come here i was suffering from any variation of hepatitis the vibe of the place also felt specially threatening to hepatitis A. Im unsure weather they would allow you to bring in an animal however big it may be. I would like to emphasize that i strongly feel hep A is not welcomed here.

Nowhere near as big or as busy as Pak & Save across the road, but I prefer it because it's quieter, smaller and less waiting. It's a normal sized supermarket. It's clean and has a Lotto and Pharmacy inside too.

To the Supermarket Manager, Good Morning, I went shopping at your supermarket this morning ,when I got to the check outs there was no one on the one I stopped at ,then this young man jumped behind the check out ,saying Good Morning how are you this morning, I replied good thank you ,looking at him, he had this lovely smile, I said to him you are the first person to smile in all my time in the store, he said it’s good to smile ,then he noticed I have a sore wrist ,he then said would you like me to keep your bags light ,of course I said yes ,thinking all my Christmases had come at once, then a lady called Karen came and took over ,and the young man passed the info onto her about me having a sore wrist and to keep the bags light. I was so impressed with this young man, I have been battling concussion due to a knock on my head ,and as I walked to my car ,I felt so good because this young man had smiled and made my day a better place. I think the young mans name is Kaush ,I hope he gets to climb the countdown ladder as countdown is very lucky to have him, and if you do some sort of reward system he surely deserves one. I am not criticising your store at all ,as i saw all your workers going flat out stacking shelves, and you have very busy times now and ahead all the best ,regards Maureen Hansen.

Good clean and well lighted. In cognizance of the zone being near a school they aren't selling alcohol and tobacco. As a result, there are little to no crime according to a staff I talked to. Good on you Countdown!

Love shopping there. BUT their egg prices are increasing. So unfortunately I have to now shop at pns. Their eggs size 8 is $7.49 Countdown only has size 6 for $7.50. So this is changing my way of shopping Their 12 mixed grade eggs were $3.49 and suddenly have disappeared. Times are changing

Great staff always. However the check out self-service system is helpless if you made one mistake, it cannot be fixed buy the customer, you need to wait for a staff member to fixed for you and you can get stuck a little more longer than planned.

A great place to shop for food, drink and other goods. Friendly helpful staff. Plus I enjoy using the self service kiosks: faster and easier. The only things missing are the lack of support for Android Pay, Samsung Pay and Apple Pay. This is mostly to due the fault of New Zealand banks though.

A nice modern well-stocked store. Produce and instore bakery were impressive. There is an instore pharmacy which can dispense prescriptions. Sadly, there is no wine & beer department because of West Auckland's quaint local licencing laws. EFTPOS was not working the day I visited, but the store staff were putting on a brave face regardless. Well done!

Unfortunately, no liquor nor alcohol on sale in this countdown. Prices are similar to their competitor across the road. The store is quite big, nicely decorated, and their car park is quite big. Staff members are quite friendly.

Despite being at level 3 lockdown there were only a couple of people queuing...and it was reassuring to see hand sanitizer and alcohol wipes throughout the store!

I really love this countdown but today I was a little disappointed in what I saw. There was a lady with a baby at the self serve checkout. Her baby started screaming and none of the staff offered to scan her items for her so she could tend to her child. As a mother myself that’s worked in retail, seeing this was really disappointing. Customer services always comes first and I saw 3 workers just standing there talking. I hope in the future this could change.
