First time I have used click and collect. Shop online. Its great in that it reminds you of past purchases altho it caused mr to double up on some items. Instore takes a few minutes to get your trolley from the service desk. But so much easier than trawling the isles. In this Covid environment it is a safer way to shop.

I am so glad to see this Countdown finally getting renovated like the other stores around. For a long time i felt this store looked a little neglected and old. Currently (October 2018) the store is under renovation so is a bit of a mish mash but i can see when it is done it will be sooo much nicer! With this store being at the mall, it is pretty much near impossible to get a park here during the malls opening hours so your best bet is to go after mall hours or on late nights at the mall. Have always found that the staff that work at this store are very friendly and will help if you ask. There is also a lotto counter at this store. As well as the Countdown wine store just across from the actual Countdown. Here you can buy wines and cider, unfortunately not beer from what i have seen.

Countdown New Lynn is like most countdowns nothing special. The staff seem to be nice. However, sadly often the items advertised especially in their meat department seem to be sold out. Looks like they do not stock enough of the items they advertise as special.

This is my local supermarket and the renovations in 2019-20 have made it amazing. The bakery is particularly impressive with a range of products that are not available in other Countdown stores. Their fruit & vege is quite expensive, on the whole. The worst thing is that they often few checkouts open. It also used to be a 24-hour supermarket but after COVID lockdowns the hours became 6am-midnight. Still pretty amazing hours. Friendly staff and excellent range of food.

Convenient location which is open till late. Has ample parking but if you are coming after LynnMall opening hours, its best to park in the outside parking area. The wine section is just opposite of the Countdown near the entrance from outdoor parking. This Countdown has single use plastic recycling bin.

I enjoy shopping at this branch. What really gets me, the night shift workers. Am hoping that their supervisor/manager have trained them to have some courtesy and manners when myself or other shoppers shop around. While they are stacking, they don’t care if they block an isle or don’t give way to you, or move the box that blocks ur trolley. We see that they are doing their job and it’s great to see. The supervisors are responsible for the shoppers safety. What I saw at this branch last night, was them ordering those workers, not supervising them in a orderly manner. Action plan - have the supervisors on training and teach these night workers to have courtesy and have some respect. Merry Xmas

Great range of fruits and veges. Small selection of out of NZ season available too (reflected in prices). Substantial deli and butchery of their type. Some very pleasant, knowledgeable and helpful team members in these sections. Several aisles were partially blocked by incomplete shelf filling or disturbed workers, at my visit. Impressively well-stocked shelves in light of large number of shoppers. Help desk and multiple counters flowing well - including the express lanes. Pleasant, upbeat counter team members (awesome, calm, cool).

I love that I can go at anytime & not have to rush down before closing. The staff was ok, though customer service could definitely be improved. However, low customer service quality seems to be the signature of Countdown. The have a decent variety of products and their price is on the average. Check out queue can be uncharacteristically long at times.

I generally get here at 9am when it opens on the weekend as you can always get a carpark. If you come in the afternoons you will tend to struggle to get a carpark. Great variety of shops here & food places.

Great that its open 24hours but every time I have been there they are always out of stock of items that I want. I end up having to buy the higher price alternative. I don't think inventory control /stock management is rocket science. Sometimes i think that this is a deliberate policy.

Medium prices, great variety of products and services, need to improve their houseware area and the liqueur shop must have beer and spirits, not only wines. Plenty of parking lots, opend and closed ones because is in Lynn mall. Great location and easy access.

Been my local for many years back when it used to called Woolworths. Store is currently undergoing renovations so finding things can be tricky at times as everything is in new locations. Its a big store so expect a good selection of everything and theres also a lotto counter. Large bank of self service machines make check out easy and plastic bags are still available for free here.

In the process of undergoing renovations when I was here and I found it difficult to locate the specific items I wanted. I had to resort to asking at the Customer Service counter. The staff were able to help in a trice, which I was grateful for as my daughter on crutches was finding it tiring and difficult to manoeuvre through the aisles.

I quite like countdown there's always a good selection has an excellent wine shop very reasonable price example the same wine at The Coffee Club is $40 a bottle the same bottle of wine at Countdown is around $7 a bottle countdown also has a good vegetarian selection generally all of the food is pretty good quality although it can be a little expensive and the service is quite good people are very friendly and always helpful

Never enough checkouts open so normally a line to purchase items. Beer and Wine not sold instore but from a separate shop opposite which it still a countdown shop due to licensing.
